Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 4: Chapter 2: The Positive Energy System

Others deliver food on electric scooters.

Su Yue delivers food purely by running on his two legs.

Why?

Because he wants to train while earning money.

For a Martial Artist in training, the most important thing is Qi Blood vitality.

Even during the technology era before the great catastrophe, people knew the importance of Qi Blood, for strengthening the body, preventing diseases, and even prolonging life.

In today’s Martial Arts Era, Qi Blood is even more the foundation for a Martial Artist.

With robust Qi Blood, the mind is clear, thinking is agile, and diseases are kept at bay.

Some stronger individuals can even headbutt cars, shoulder tanks, bite grenades, use Qi Blood as a protective shield, and dive into the depths of the sea to catch seafood without fearing the pressure of the ocean.

In this era, Martial Artists do not train just to strengthen the body but pursue killing, born for the battlefield.

Catching seafood is incidental.

Qi Blood is the foundation of strength, agility, and all martial arts.

After becoming a formal Sealed Martial Artist, each martial arts academy offers a systematic combat technique to train Qi Blood.

But at the preparatory Martial Artist stage, one can only rely on the primitive extreme breakthrough method.

What is extreme breakthrough? It’s simple.

It involves repetitively and tediously training oneself, risking life and limb.

Professional athletes in the technology era, in theory, were conducting extreme training.

Running works, punching works, squatting in horse stance works, and even getting beaten up works.

As long as you repeat it enough times.

In the early morning, Cengyan Second Middle School organizes unified training for the eleventh graders, but usually, Su Yue relies on reckless running during his food deliveries.

Earning money and training, two birds with one stone.

Even second-hand detectors cost about 5000, with the latest models over 30,000. Su Yue only makes seven or eight bucks per delivery, so he has to thank the rich people.

Of course, once he earns enough money, he plans to return it; it’s too valuable. For now, he considers it a temporary loan for urgent needs.

Before the age of 15, human bones aren’t fully formed. Legally, minors are not allowed to over-exert their physical capabilities, as it causes serious aftereffects, potentially resulting in lifelong paralysis.

By the end of the eleventh grade, everyone is 16, and Wang Lu Feng having a Qi Blood value of 10 cards proves his talent is decent.

In this era, students start school a few years earlier than in the technology era.

Although, reportedly, some sons of major plutocrats start training at 13 or 14, requiring a large amount of precious herbs to nurture their bones, which can bankrupt ordinary families in months.

After each extreme breakthrough, one becomes very tired and must rest and take supplements.

As for why Su Yue can work day and night, he has a secret even his father doesn’t know.

Last year, when his father was arrested, Su Yue crumbled under the blow and fell severely ill for three days.

When he awoke, he had a so-called ’system’ in his mind.

The system is of the simplest version.

Moreover, this system has a highly positive name: the Diligence Reward System.

...

Available Diligence Points: 15.

Diligence Counter:

1. Sleep Exemption (Costs 3 Diligence Points, grants 1-hour sleep exemption) Skill Description: You are the king of grinding.

2. Not Unlocked?

...

This is the entire system.

Over the past year, Su Yue has researched extensively, but there’s only this much information.

Diligence Points can be earned through all kinds of hard work.

Simply put, the more Su Yue suffers, the faster his Diligence Points accumulate.

Running for his life, hitting sandbags, squatting in horse stance, carrying cement, and even getting beaten all earn Diligence Points.

As for the Diligence Counter, for now only one option is unlocked, the sleep exemption.

Su Yue doesn’t know how to unlock the second function.

The first function allows him to not sleep.

Once sleep exemption is activated, Su Yue feels no drowsiness and can experience the effects of deep sleep while fully awake.

The necessary sleep time for an eleventh grader is about 7 hours.

These 7 hours are essentially a gift to Su Yue.

In other words, he has about a third more time than others to do other things.

Napping in class is also due to his subconscious.

The system doesn’t allow sleep exemption to be used during the day, probably because it deems it unnecessary. But after Su Yue stays up all night, his biological clock gets out of sync, forcing him to nap.

Regarding Diligence Points, Su Yue has summarized a rough pattern.

He can earn about 21 Diligence Points from running all night.

Actually, going to a construction site to carry cement or getting hit in a boxing match earns more Diligence Points than running.

But the law doesn’t allow anyone under 16 to do hard labor.

Boxing matches for students are strictly prohibited, involving legal issues.

Squatting in horse stance and hitting sandbags don’t earn money.

Food delivery can supplement household expenses, and the age regulations are not as strict legally.

”What could the second function of the Diligence Counter be?”

Su Yue murmured.

He directly converted all Diligence Points into sleep exemptions; after all, it was another night of intense effort.

It’s a peculiar feeling.

At the moment of conversion, Su Yue felt refreshed, as if he had just woken up in the early morning, energetic.

”Exempting sleep is quite comfortable!”

In the elevator, Su Yue carried a hot and spicy soup and stretched his muscles.

Dingdong.

”Hello, your food is here!”

Su Yue knocked on the door.

He felt a bit intimidated by this customer with chest hair.

Chest hair isn’t really scary.

What’s scary is that he counted thirty thousand strands.

How idle must he be?

How strange?

”Hang it on the door, thank you.”

The response was actually a woman’s voice.

”Enjoy your meal, please give a good review, thanks, goodbye!”

Su Yue paused and then smiled.

People today have good safety awareness.

If a woman lives alone, choosing a fierce username, hanging the takeout on the door, or leaving it outside is the safest way.

Su Yue left the neighborhood and turned on the delivery app.

”Eh, I got a 5 yuan tip, may the wealthy live long and prosper!”

Some high-end neighborhoods don’t allow electric scooters, so many delivery drivers don’t like to take orders there. Su Yue specifically picks these places, as he runs anyways.

So, he gets a fair amount of orders, as only Martial Artists are eligible to own property in such high-end neighborhoods. The families of Martial Artists live there, and these people don’t lack money, often giving small tips.

Actually, Su Yue’s food deliveries on foot aren’t much slower than using an electric scooter.

The city’s streets have speed limits, and some places ban electric scooters, giving Su Yue a certain advantage.

...

Su Yue took another order for a large plate of chicken (extra meat and noodles), and he sighed as he read the note.

”Note: This fairy wants a Peppa Pig, please, delivery guy, draw a Peppa Pig for me.”

Recipient: Drippy Little Fairy.

Drippy?

Little Fairy?

This combination is incredibly slippery.

Su Yue had a thought: Girl, you’re dangerous.

Doing delivery now is a skilled job.

He borrowed a marker from the restaurant owner and drew a pig on the packaging bag.

Inside the pig, he also drew: mascara, eyeliner, lipstick, nail polish... foundation, body lotion, conditioner, perfume, face mask... lip balm, eye shadow, face cream, sunscreen, eyebrow pencil... liquid foundation, concealer, eye cream, facial cleanser, serum... cotton pads, nail clippers...

”There you go, all set, even a dry fairy should be moisturized with this.”

Su Yue filled the packaging bag with drawings and happily went to deliver the meal.

A delivery guy with such ingenuity is truly top-notch in the industry. If I’m not excellent, who is?

This time I’ll definitely get a positive review and maybe a tip.

”Nowadays, delivery guys really go all out for a tip! Peppa Pig, an old cartoon from 800 years ago, be careful you don’t get a bad review.”

After Su Yue left, the large plate chicken owner stroked his stubbled chin dismissively.

Then, he added some blush to his own face.

Who isn’t a little fairy too?

...

Ding dong.

”Hello, your meal is here.”

”Coming, coming, wait for me, delivery guy.”

A soft and sweet voice came from inside, and Su Yue felt his bones melting a bit.

As expected of a little fairy, just not sure how drippy, Su Yue had a little heartbeat, oh no... could this be the feeling of love?

The door opened.

Su Yue instantly sobered up, but he still maintained a professional smile.

The age was that of a fairy, but the weight seemed a bit over, about 200 pounds over.

Perhaps it was the fusion of three fairies.

”Wow, delivery guy, you’re so thoughtful, thank you, I’m super happy!”

Looking at the packaging, the fairy’s whole body of flesh was happily trembling.

”It’s nothing, it’s my duty, as long as you’re satisfied, please give a positive review, goodbye.”

Su Yue turned to leave.

”Wait, it’s not complete yet.

”I’m still missing a boyfriend... If you could complete that, I’d definitely give you a good review.”

The fairy shyly looked at Su Yue, her face greasy.

Gulp!

Su Yue swallowed hard, at this moment, he faced the harshest test in delivery history.

Neutral or bad reviews are absolutely not allowed.

This concerns the honor of a delivery guy.

But it’s clear Su Yue cannot sacrifice his handsome looks.

In that one second, he burned tens of thousands of brain cells.

”Actually... I, I also need a boyfriend.”

Su Yue licked his tongue and said firmly.

”Ah... you’re... bent... I wish you find a boyfriend.”

The little fairy slammed the door.

”Remember the positive review!”

Su Yue wiped his cold sweat and reminded again.

Deliveries require both the hands and the brain.

...

Diligence points +1

...

Suddenly, a message flashed in his mind.

”Huh, quick thinking can also increase diligence points?”

Su Yue was taken aback.

He had just gained diligence points, but now running can’t possibly increase them again.

”It seems this diligence system requires further study.”

Shaking his head, Su Yue continued taking orders.

...

Late at night, the lights of Cengyan City were dimming, the streets were broad, yet there were few cars.

In fact, even during the peak of day, there weren’t many cars.

Hundreds of years ago in the era of technology, everyone could buy a car, but now in the Martial Arts Era, buying a car requires a qualification certificate.

A qualification certificate is the identity of a Martial Artist.

It’s not just for buying cars.

Buying a house, registering a company, mining, being a high executive, all require the identity of a Martial Artist.

Only by becoming a Martial Artist can one stand out.

This is why high schoolers are fighting to get into the potential class.

If you don’t have the identity of a Martial Artist, no matter how much wealth you accumulate, you don’t qualify to buy a car of your own.

Moreover, the ubiquitous governmental taxes won’t let ordinary people get rich.

Of course, being average isn’t without its perks, ordinary people can enjoy stability, perfect healthcare, and peace without having to serve on the battlefield.

The price for Martial Artists obtaining all privileges is the cruel battlefield.

Everything is an equivalent exchange.

...

”Is the S-class national wanted criminal really that brutal?”

During Su Yue’s deliveries, all screens in Cengyan City were almost continuously showing the photo of the S-class wanted criminal.

Xiong Taiguang, 39 years old, 191cm tall, weighs 81 kilograms, crew cut, scar on the jaw, a mole at the corner of his eye.

This was the wanted criminal’s description.

But Su Yue felt this wanted criminal wasn’t a bad person.

Wang Lu Feng’s dad was also reckless.

The guy is clearly an S-class wanted criminal, yet you insist on making military declarations.

Now look, you’ve gotten yourself into trouble.

If you want to get promoted, this isn’t the way.

”With Xiong Taiguang’s hiding skills, the Investigation and Arrest Bureau won’t catch him in the next life. He can even compress his height, a warrant is useless.

”It’s almost dawn, this brother Xiong Taiguang must be insomniac again.

”Makes sense, being an S-class wanted criminal, being caught means death, of course, he’s insomniac.

”Maybe I should go comfort him, and ask for a Qi Blood pill while I’m at it.”

After delivering the last meal, Su Yue closed the Not Hungry delivery app.
