Chapter 2498: Chapter 2498: Should Pick A Better Man

”Well, you can apply for the job through the website. Submit all the credentials that you have, and our HR Department will take a look at the application.” Yu Qi said.

”Why don’t you just hire him? You are the boss. Others will listen to you.” Fang Lifen kept pushing Yu Qi.

”Mom... That’s enough.” Su Ke Ke tried to stop her mother.

”I am just trying to secure your brother’s future. I don’t see anything wrong. You should also put some good words in his behalf. How can you let your brother be a mediocre worker? He, at least, should be a manager. Ordering people.” Fang Lifen said.

Su Ke Ke was speechless at her mother’s words. This was why she often refused to bring Tang Jin Wei to meet her family. Her mother would bring to talk about her younger brother.

”As I said earlier, to be a manager in my company, you should have at least a degree in a related field. All of my employees earned their position with their own effort, not favouritism. I will not hire people based on the relationship.” Yu Qi said.

”You...” Fang Lifen wanted to say more.

”Fang Lifen, that is enough.” Su Ke Ke’s father, Su Peizhi, said.

Fang Lifen shut his mouth. Ming Yue tried to fix the tense atmosphere by asking about Tang Jin Wei and Su Ke Ke’s wedding date. They planned to get married within one year. It would be enough for the couple to plan their wedding.

Fang Lifen did not say anything about that. Like they were not talking about her daughter’s marriage. Grandma Su was the one who seemed to be excited about her granddaughter’s marriage.

The nice atmosphere returned. They got to know each family. They asked some questions.

”Auntie Ming Yue, every man in your family looks so handsome.” Su Jinxiu’s eyes lingered on Long Hui.

”Hmm... Well, we have a good gene.” Ming Yue laughed.

”So, you are also a doctor?” Grandma Su asked Long Hui.

”No... I am her bodyguard.” Long Hui said.

”Bodyguard? As your job?” Su Jinxiu asked.

”Hmm...” Long Hui responded.

Hearing this, Fang Lifen frowned. ”Why does a bodyguard sit together with us? Should he stay outside, waiting for us to finish the dinner?”

”He is my fiancé. So, he has the right to join the dinner.” Yu Qi said.

”He is your fiancé?” Fang Lifen was shocked. Then, in a low voice, she mumbled. ”Why are you choosing a bodyguard when you can choose someone better? I don’t understand. My son is better than him.”

”Yes. He is my fiancé and my bodyguard at the same time. Do you have any problem with that?” Yu Qi asked.

”No... No...” Fang Lifen shook her head.

Long Hui’s phone vibrated. He took out and looked at the phone. Someone was calling him. When he saw the ID caller name, he knew that he needed to answer this call. He whispered something to Yu Qi. Yu Qi nodded.

”Excuse me, I need to go out first to take this call.” Long Hui excused himself.

”Hmm...” Grandpa Tang responded.

Long Hui stood out and left the room. Yu Qi helped Tang Bo Lin eat his food.

Not long after that, Su Jinxiu excused herself to go to the restroom. So, she got up and went out. She did not actually want to go to the restroom. She wanted to see Long Hui. She searched for Long Hui. Then, she saw Long Hui talking on the phone in the garden. This man was so handsome.

Su Jinxiu did not go and talk to Long Hui right away. She waited for Long Hui to end the call first. Seeing Long Hui finally end the phone, she walked over to Long Hui.

”Hi...” Su Jinxiu waved her hand to Long Hui.

Long Hui looked at Su Jinxiu with a cold expression. Su Jinxiu kept smiling, ignoring Long Hui’s expression.

”Hmm... Can I have your contact number? I would like to know you better. You know that we can get closer in the future?” Su Jinxiu asked sweetly.

Long Hui, who heard the question, knew the girl’s aim. He refused to talk to the girl and left the area.

”Wait... Wait... Don’t leave me alone.” Su Jinxiu immediately chased Long Hui.

Long Hui saw Yu Qi and rushed to her side.

”Where are you going?” Long Hui asked.

”I am bringing Heng Nuo to the restroom.” Yu Qi said while her head moved down, looking at Tang Heng Nuo.

”I just want to be....” Su Jinxiu’s shout stopped there when she saw Yu Qi and Tang Heng Nuo.

”Oh... Miss Su returns from the restroom. You can enter now.” Yu Qi moved to the side, giving Su Jinxiu some space to enter the room.

”Well, I am going to go to the restroom with Heng Nuo. You can go in first, too.” Yu Qi said.

”It’s fine. I will accompany you.” Long Hui said, immediately followed Yu Qi and Tang Heng Nuo.

Su Jinxiu watched them leave. She gritted her teeth. At the end, she entered the room again. 10 minutes later, Yu Qi, Long Hui and Tang Heng Nuo returned.

The dinner finally ended. The two families exchanged a few words before parting. Fang Lifen just said one sentence and went silent. She still felt bitter after Yu Qi rejected her son being working at QinYue Group.
