Chapter 2489: Chapter 2489: Time To Hunt The Prey

The next day, Ren Qian Yi finally woke up. He opened his eyes slowly and sat Long Hui by the bed.

”Second Brother?” Ren Qian Yi tried to speak, but his voice sounded so hoarse.

Long Hui helped Ren Qian Yi to sit up. Then, he immediately poured some water and brought it to Ren Qian Yi.

”Drink some water first.” Long Hui said.

Ren Qian Yi took the cup from Long Hui. Her throat was indeed kind of sore. After drinking some water, he felt refreshed.

”What happened to me?” Ren Qian Yi asked.

”What is the last thing that you remember?” Long Hui asked.

”Oh... I remember pushing you out of the way. Are you okay?” Ren Qian Yi suddenly asked about Long Hui’s well-being.

”I am fine. You are the one who is not okay.” Long Hui said.

Yu Qi entered the room. She was surprised to see Ren Qian Yi awake.

”Eh! Why is Second Sister In law here? Have we already gone back?” Ren Qian Yi was also surprised to see Yu Qi here.

”What’s a relief. You finally wake up.” Yu Qi said.

”We are still at Zain Country. Since you were unconscious and the doctors here could not do anything about your condition, I called her to come and check on you.” Long Hui said.

Yu Qi read his pulse. She nodded.

”Nothing’s wrong. However, let’s go to the hospital for further check to double confirm that matter.” Yu Qi stated.

”Hmm...” Long Hui also agreed.

”Is that necessary? I am feeling just fine. Since Second Sister In law says that I am fine, I should be fine, right?” Ren Qian Yi said.

”No!” Both Yu Qi and Long Hui answered the same thing.

Ren Qian Yi was startled seeing how synchronised they were. ”Okay... Okay... If you say so.” He gave up.

So, the three of them went back to the hospital. Ren Qian Yi was assigned to the same doctor who had treated him before. He was surprised to see Ren Qian Yi standing and was fine.

”How?” The doctor looked at Ren Qian Yi and Yu Qi.

He knew that Yu Qi was a doctor. ” How do you do it?”

”Well, before I answer your question, can we do the full body examination?” Yu Qi said.

”Yes... Yes...” The doctor nodded.

He checked on Ren Qian Yi and sent him for various examinations. Yu Qi and Long Hui waited for Ren Qian Yi to finish the examination. Yu Qi fell asleep, leaning on Long Hui’s shoulder.

Ren Qian Yi finished his examination. The doctor said that the result would be available the next morning. They returned to the house.

The next day, they went back to the hospital. The result showed Ren Qian Yi was fine. The doctor turned to Yu Qi. He wanted to know what Yu Qi had done to wake Ren Qian Yi up.

Yu Qi made up some lies, telling the doctor that she used acupuncture on Ren Qian Yi’s body. The needles stimulated Ren Qian Yi’s nerves, forcing Ren Qian Yi to wake up.

This doctor did not know much about acupuncture. So, he believed what Yu Qi said to him.

After meeting the doctor, Long Hui told Ren Qian Yi to return first. He and Yu Qi needed to go somewhere else first. Ren Qian Yi tried to ask where they wanted to go, but Long Hui did not answer.

Long Hui and Yu Qi nodded. The location that they wanted to go to was the Miao Family. It was time to hunt the prey.

”You are here again.” Patriarch Miao said when he saw Yu Qi and Long Hui again. ”How is your friend?”

”He is finally awake and fine.” Yu Qi said.

”Has that person come back?” Long Hui asked.

Patriarch Miao did not need to ask who Long Hui meant by that. ”No. He does not come home.” He shook his head.

”Well, then, let me use your teleportation device.” Long Hui said.

”What?” Patriarch Miao was surprised.

”We would like to go to the cultivation world, searching for that person.” Yu Qi said.

”That... That...” Patriarch Miao did not know what to say.

”You can’t lend it to us?” Yu Qi raised her eyebrow.

”No... No... Please... Please... Follow me.” Patriarch Miao said.

Yu Qi and Long Hui followed Patriarch Miao to the room where the teleportation device was. The person who took care of the teleportation device was surprised to see Patriarch Miao there.

”Patriarch Miao, why are you here?” The person asked.

This person was one of the elders. His job was taking care of the teleportation device. If they wanted to go to the teleportation device, it was his job as well to send them over.

”I want you to send these two people to the cultivation world.” Patriarch Miao said.

”Patriarch, you should know that sending these two outsiders will be exposing the location of the Miao Family’s ancestral house in the cultivation world.” The person leaned over and whispered into Patriarch Miao’s ear.

”I know. But we don’t have any choice but to follow their request.” Patriarch Miao said.

”Since you already say so, I will send them over.” The person nodded.

The teleportation device functioned the same as what Dian Family had. Yu Qi and Long Hui stood in the centre. Then, with a blink, they arrived at the cultivation world.
