Chapter 2469: Chapter 2469: Orphan-Seeking-Family Program

”Do you think I don’t know about the plan?” Yu Qi scoffed.

”What... What’s the plan? I just want to help you find your parent.” Wang Fu Ya said.

”Yeah... Yeah... Just keep lying to yourself. Please don’t bother me anymore. I am busy. I have a lot of things to do, unlike you, who just know how to butter up the old man.” Yu Qi said.

”You!!!” Wang Fu Ya was so angry when she heard that from Yu Qi.

Yu Qi hung up the call before Wang Fu Ya said another word. There was nothing to talk about anymore. She also blocked the number.

Wang Fu Ya was so angry when Yu Qi ended the call just like that. She tried to call again. This time, it did not go through. It seemed Yu Qi had blocked her number.

”Dear, she blocked my number.” Wang Fu Ya complained to CEO Zhao.

”Don’t worry. I already have another plan.” CEO Zhao patted Wang Fu Ya’s head.

....

The program about finding the biological family became famous. A lot of orphans came forward and joined the program. Some of them successfully reunited with their family. People recognised the relative. It was a very good program. The person in charge called people to join the program.

Someone tagged Yu Qi on the post on purpose.

”Oh... It is the Tang Yu Qi. Why did someone tag her?”

”Have you forgotten something?”

”What?”

”She is also adopted by the Tang Family.”

”She does?”

”Yes.”

”I thought she was really from the Tang Family.”

”She fit the Tang Family perfectly.”

”Well, if she enters the program, the program will become more famous. And she gets to find her biological family.”

”Maybe she does not want to find her biological family?”

”Hey, commentator above, what do you mean by that?”

”Think about it. If she manages to find her biological family and the family is not so bad compared to the Tang family, it will be fine. But what if the family turn out to be poor and not as prestigious as the Tang Family, do you think she will be happy about that?”

”When you say something like that, it really makes sense.”

”That is why Tang Yu Qi stayed with the Tang Family. Maybe she is the one who does not want to find out her biological family.”

Yu Qi read the comment. This article seemed to target her specifically. Someone must be stirring the pot. She contacted Neko-chan.

”Neko-chan, investigate the orphan program. Who’s behind it?” Yu Qi stated.

”Okay, Master.” Neko-chan accepted the order and immediately got to work.

One hour later, Neko-chan contacted Yu Qi back, informing Yu Qi that she had already sent what she had found out about the program. From what Neko-chan found out, the program was staged by everyone involved.

The family and the supposedly orphan. They had been paid by the program to make the program a success. Some of them had not even grown up in the orphanage at all. Some of them were indeed orphans and grew up in the orphanage, but they had already met with their families long ago, before the program was introduced.

There were a lot of record transactions between the person in charge with the participants of the program. In other words, this program was a scam.

When Yu Qi read further about the program, she found out the person behind the scenes was no other than CEO Zhao, the greasy old man who was together with Wang Fu Ya. He was not directly involved. It seemed like he wanted to cover up his tracks and did not want others to know about his involvement. If this program were a good thing, how did he have to cover his involvement? Something was fishy.

Yu Qi then ordered Neko-chan to investigate CEO Zhao. She read the comment again. Her name had been mentioned again and again, urging her to join the program. Some netizens defended Yu Qi by saying that Yu Qi did not need to join the program or search for the parent. It was not her obligation.

People did not have the right to force Yu Qi to join the program and search for her parent. The people also stated that they did not know what happened to Yu Qi and why she became an orphan.

Yu Qi smiled, seeing the comment defending her like that. Some people really had thought about that. She felt like the people who commented, asking her to join the program, must be people who got paid by someone. They needed to mention her name several times in the comment, putting her under pressure.

She felt like Wang Fu Ya had schemed to get her to find her parent. And it was not her scheme alone. That greasy old man must be involved as well.

Yu Qi continued working, treating the people. As she made her round, some patients talked to her.

”Doctor Yu Qi, you really don’t want to find your birth parent?” Patient A asked.

”You don’t need to worry about me. Just focus on your recovery.” Yu Qi replied.

”Or is it really true that you are afraid that you have to leave the Tang Family after you find your birth parent?” Patient B asked.

”Like I said earlier, you don’t have to worry about me. Your recovery is the most important thing at the most.” Yu Qi avoided answering the topic directly.
