Chapter 2479: Chapter 2479: The Evidence Kept Pilling Up

”Next, there are many suspicious claims that are being made by Mr Zhao’s secretary under business expenses.” Shen Qingling pointed to the next slide.

”A dinner expense at the romantic restaurant? Mr Zhao, who was the business partner who went to a romantic restaurant with you? Shall you tell us here? Never mind. I don’t think you want us to hear that. And this... entertainment expense at the nightclub with the escorts’ charge? What are you doing huh?” Shen Qingling glanced over at Zhao Cheng, whose face was already turned red from embarrassment.

”The next one is this program.” Shen Qingling stated.

The slide stated the Orphan Program.

”Wait a minute. I read about this program. It is a good program that connects the orphans to their biological families. What’s about it?” One shareholder asked.

”Do you know who its sponsor is?” Shen Qingling asked.

”Don’t tell us that it is CEO Zhao?” Another shareholder chimed in.

”You guessed right. Mr Zhao is indeed the sponsor for the program.” Shen Qingling admitted.

”Wait! It is a good thing. If people found out about it, our company’s reputation would increase.” The shareholder said.

Others were nodding along, thinking the same.

”It is indeed a good program. However, nothing in the back is not as beautiful as the front.” Shen Qingling snorted.

”What do you mean by that?” The shareholder frowned.

”Everything had been staged from the family to the orphan. They had been paid to falsify testimony. It was the money from our company.” Shen Qingling stated.

”Huh? Why did CEO Zhao do something like that?” The shareholder was confused.

”Mr Zhao, why don’t you tell us about your amazing purpose, wasting the company’s money for something like that?” Shen Qingling looked straight at Zhao Cheng.

Zhao Cheng did not say anything. He just looked straight at Shen Qingling.

”Since Mr Zhao refused to talk, I will tell you about that.” Shen Qingling stated. ”I am sure you here know Tang Yu Qi.”

”What does Tang Yu Qi have to do with the current issue?” A shareholder asked.

”Of course, she is related to our current issue because Mr Zhao created the program to lure Tang Yu Qi. Apparently, he wanted to use Tang Yu Qi’s biological family’s information to lure Tang Yu Qi. Once Tang Yu Qi entered the trap, he would use everything to blackmail and threaten Tang Yu Qi to do whatever he wanted.” Shen Qingling said.

Zhao Cheng’s face turned pale as he heard Shen Qingling describe his exact plan.

”Wait, how do you know about that?” The shareholder was sceptical of Shen Qingling’s explanation.

”I have a recording. In that recording, Mr Zhao seemed to have a conversation with his mistress about trapping Tang Yu Qi and blackmailing her.” Shen Qingling cued the man to play to recording.

Shen Qingling only let them hear the voice because it was inappropriate to play the video here. The shareholders listened to the recording. Zhao Cheng frowned. It was indeed a conversation that he had with Wang Fu Ya. They were in the hotel. Then, who recorded the voice? Was Wang Fu Ya herself?

”How can we believe the recording?” One shareholder asked.

”Well, I can give you the whole video if you want, and you can go to the expert to clarify whether the video is edited or not.” Shen Qingling said.

”Video? Why don’t you show the video to us? Why just play the voice?” One of the shareholders asked.

”Mr Zhao, you should remember where and when you have this conversation with your mistress. Should I play the video for everyone here to see?” Shen Qingling asked Zhao Cheng.

”Please, don’t.” Zhao Cheng said.

The shareholders looked at each other and immediately understood the situation. The conversation probably happened at an inappropriate time when they should not have known about it.

”So, with the orphan program, Mr Zhao wasted almost 200 million and still got nothing from it. Next, Mr Zhao used another 100 million to pay the compensation that the media companies faced. Mr Zhao tried to use the media companies to pressure Tang Yu Qi to join the program. Those media companies ended up being sued by the Tang Private Hospital for interference with the medical care. Am I right, Mr Zhao?” Shen Qingling asked.

The shareholders whispered to each other and nodded along.

”We have evidence and believe that Mr Zhao destroyed his credibility to be the CEO. So, I demanded that he be removed from the position before any more damage. Let’s vote for it.” Shen Qingling stated.

One by one, the shareholders raised their hands to vote. Even Zhao Cheng’s supporters supported his removal after seeing the evidence and money that he had embezzled.

”We have the result. Mr Zhao, you are no longer the CEO of our company.” Shen Qingling stated while looking straight at Zhao Cheng.

Zhao Cheng felt complicated. He had been removed from his position by his wife.

”The CEO position will remain empty until we find a suitable one. Thank you for your time. The meeting is adjourned.” Shen Qingling said.

Everyone stood up and left the meeting room. Leaving Shen Qingling, Zhao Cheng and Zhao Boqin in the meeting room. Once all of the shareholders got out, Zhao Cheng stood and approached Shen Qingling.

Seeing this, Zhao Boqin quickly stood up from his seat and walked to his mother to shield her from his father. His father must be angry at his mother at the moment.
