Chapter 2470: Chapter 2470: Investigate That Greasy Old Man

”Blood is thicker than water.” A family member of the patient B said.

Yu Qi just smiled, not comment anything about that statement.

After the round, she left the ward. Then, she heard the nurse who was with her sighed.

”Is it something wrong?” Yu Qi asked.

”No... No...” The nurse shook her head.

”Then, why are you sighed like that?” Yu Qi tilted her head.

”I just don’t understand why people like to get involved with someone’s else matter.” The nurse said.

”Are you talking about me?” Yu Qi guessed.

”They did not know what actually happened to you but they actually want to force you to find your biological family.” The nurse stated. ”Finding the biological family might be a good thing for some people but it is not for everyone.”

”It seems you have experience regarding the matter, Sis Shuchun.” Yu Qi stated.

”Yeah... I grow up in orphanage. Then, I determined to find my biological family after I finished the high school. What I discovered is devastating. My biological family abandoned me because they did not want a daughter. They just wanted a son. Because the son will carry out the family name while the daughter will be married out. It was not because they were poor or something like that. They could afford to have a daughter. They just don’t want to do it.

When I found them, they had some nerves asking me to work to support the son that they had. I just finished high school and was about to go to the college. Of course, I don’t want to waste my energy to do what they wanted me to do. I told them that they should do it for their son. I am not going to do anything.

Then, they shouted at me, telling me that they were glad to abandon me before. I did not wait for a second and left them. It was 12 years ago. I don’t contact them anymore. I heard from someone that they had been looking for me. I don’t care anymore.

To tell you the truth, they walked past me once a few years ago after the meeting but they did not recognize me at all. It shows how much they do not think about me before.” The nurse, Wang Shuchun told Yu Qi her experience.

”You have it rough.” Yu Qi said.

”Well, when I was young, it was indeed difficult. But it all had paid off. Working here is my dream. So, I am quite happy.” Wang Shuchun stated. ”Doctor Yu Qi, you don’t have to look for your biological family. If they want to reach out, they would do it. You already have an excellent family now.”

”Thank you, Sis Shuchun.” Yu Qi said.

Yu Qi entered the room. She got the file from Neko-chan. She opened and read it.

CEO Zhao or Zhao Cheng was from Chengdong City. He was 54 years old this year. He had married and still married to a woman, Shen Qingling, 50 years old. He also had two sons and a daughter. He owned multiple companies. One of them involved jewelries.

Yu Qi thought about something. Was he targeting her because of her HuiQi Jade Store? From the conversation between Wang Fu Ya and Zhao Cheng, he wanted to gain some control of Yu Qi.

Yu Qi read more. Neko-chan was not only searching the information about Zhao Cheng but all of their family members. The interesting part was about his wife, Shen Qingling.

Even though Zhao Cheng was the CEO but the shares were mostly in his wife, Shen Qingling. It was because when they were younger, Shen Qingling was the one who provided the funds for the company’s start-up. So, the power was in Shen Qingling’s hand.

If Zhao Cheng messed up, Shen Qingling had the power to fire Zhao Cheng. Well, from the information, it was not Zhao Cheng’s first time cheating. He had been cheating several times before.

After Shen Qingling found out, he might cut off the relationship. The last one was a few years ago. Shen Qingling forgave him each time. Wang Fu Ya was his recent cheating partner. Yu Qi felt that Shen Qingling forgave his husband for the sake of their children.

Yu Qi smiled as she looked at the information. She contacted Neko-chan and asked her to do something.

...

Wang Fu Ya smiled as she looked at the article. She was happy seeing people calling out for Yu Qi. They even called her ungrateful for being unwilling to search for her biological family.

”Is this the plan that you mentioned before?” Wang Fu Ya asked Zhao Cheng.

”Yes. We will use the public opinion to join the program. From there, we will try to get control of her.” Zhao Cheng said.

”Dear, you are so good.” Wang Fu Ya praised Zhao Cheng.

Zhao Cheng was happy to hear the praise.

”Well, we need to pack up. We are going to leave this city.” Zhao Cheng said.

”Already? I don’t want to leave your side. When we return to Chengdong City, you will be with your wife, and we need to sneak out whenever we want to meet.” Wang Fu Ya pouted.

”Well, we don’t have any choice. If my wife found out about us, it would be a disaster.” Zhao Cheng said.

”Disaster? What do you mean by that?” Wang Fu Ya wanted to know.
