Chapter 894 - 894 Mysterious Man in Black

894 Mysterious Man in Black

“How do you feel?” Lin Yi stopped and asked Zhao Yinian.

“It’s alright. I can still go on.” Zhao Yinian said.

“But I don’t think I can hold on for too much longer. My legs are a little sore. There’s a gentle slope ahead. Can I rest there for a while?”

Lin Yi looked ahead. The slope was about twenty meters ahead of him.

!!
“Come on, let’s go get some rest.”

Ten minutes later, the two of them arrived at the gentle slope. Zhao Yinian sat on the ground and started rubbing her calf, hoping that it would ease the tightness. She didn’t want to drag Lin Yi down.

“Any signs of oxygen deprivation?”

“I don’t think so.” Zhao Yinian said.

“But it’s strange. I find this a little unbelievable. I originally wanted you to head up first while I slowly climbed the mountain behind you. It’s not bad if I got second place, but I didn’t expect to really keep up with you.”

Lin Yi looked around. “This place is a little strange. According to my guess, the oxygen content here is a little higher than other places, causing our heart and lungs to become stronger.”

“If that’s the case, it’ll be easier to climb the mountain. I reckon the remaining three hundred meters won’t be a big problem to conquer.”

Lin Yi nodded and took out some food to replenish his strength before continuing to climb the mountain.

Compared to the previous path, the difficulty of the next few hundred meters increased exponentially.

They had to use their hands to continue to climb forward.

Lin Yi’s physique was different from ordinary people, so this was nothing to him.

However, to Zhao Yinian, it was a huge challenge.

Lin Yi took the rope and connected the two of them together. Then, they set off towards the top of the mountain.

Another three hours passed, and the two of them were infinitely close to the top of the mountain. It seemed that they were only a dozen meters away.

“Brother Lin, wait a moment. I want to rest before going up.” Zhao Yinian panted.

“I want to reach the top with a perfect image.”

“Then do you want to touch up your makeup?”

“There’s no need for that. It has to look real.”

Lin Yi stood on the spot and looked down at the scenery at the foot of the mountain.

It felt as if he would be able to stand at the top of the mountain and look down on all of creation.

“Hmm? What’s going on? There’s someone else on the mountain?”

Zhao Yinian’s exclamation attracted Lin Yi’s attention.

“There’s someone here?!” Lin Yi was surprised.

“I really saw it. Just now, a black shadow flashed past from above.”

Lin Yi looked up again and saw nothing.

“Are you sure you’re not seeing things?”

“There’s really no mistake.” Zhao Yinian said.

“If it’s not a human, then it’s a savage who lives here.”

“Nonsense, how can there be savages here?” Lin Yi said.

“Stay here first. I’ll go up and take a look.”

“Uh-huh.”

At this point, Zhao Yinian was no longer afraid. No snakes, insects, rats, or ants could survive in this place, so there was no need to worry.

With that, Lin Yi race towards the top of the mountain.

At first, when Zhao Yinian said that there was someone at the top of the mountain, he did not take it seriously.

However, soon, he thought of something else.

On this island, other than the two people who had tried to assassinate him, there was also the mysterious person who had killed the crocodile.

Perhaps the black shadow that Zhao Yinian saw was the person who killed the crocodile!

Lin Yi was agile and managed to reach the top in less than two minutes.

Looking around, he was surprised to see a black shadow flash past more than ten meters ahead. Moreover, it was holding a box in its hand!

Although he was already at the top of the mountain, Lin Yi wasn’t in the mood to care about the scenery here. He couldn’t help but speed up and rush towards the black shadow in front of him.

After chasing it for more than ten meters, the man in black in front suddenly stopped and stood rooted to the spot with his back turned.

Lin Yi was the same. He stopped in his tracks and stared at the man in black.

The other party was wearing a black sweater and black pants. His head was covered with a hat that shielded his head tightly.

Even his hands were covered with gloves such that nothing was revealed.

Lin Yi was cautious, not daring to make any big moves.

This was the first time he had felt oppression from a person.

Even though the other party didn’t do anything, just him standing there made Lin Yi feel nervous.

The two of them maintained a distance of ten meters. The atmosphere was so tense that it was suffocating.

Slowly, the man in black looked back.

At the same time, Lin Yi saw the true face of the man in black.

However, what was terrifying was that the man in black did not show his face. He was wearing a colorful smiley face mask, like a clown in a circus.

Seeing such a strange figure, Lin Yi’s hair couldn’t help but stand on end.

He could not imagine why such a strange person would appear on this isolated island.

Not only was he wearing a black outfit, but he was also wearing a clown mask.

This was too strange!

It was also at that moment that Lin Yi suddenly felt dazed.

Even though the mask was only painted with a smiling face, Lin Yi got the weird feeling that the person under the mask seemed to be smiling at him as well!

Furthermore, it was also that strange smile.

At that moment, the man in black suddenly moved and ran forward. Lin Yi was not to be outdone and chased after him.

This time, Lin Yi did not hold back and used all his trump cards.

Even if Usain Bolt himself came, he might not be able to run as fast as Lin Yi.

However, the man in black was not slow either. Even though Lin Yi used all his strength, he could only maintain the same speed as him. The distance between the two of them was not shortened at all.

During the chase, Lin Yi became even more certain that this strange man in black was the murderer who had killed the crocodile.

Otherwise, with his ability, it was impossible that he would not be able to catch up to him!

Still, where did this guy come from?

Why did he come here?

What exactly was in the box in his hand?

Lin Yi chased with all his might while his head filled with questions.

However, what was frustrating was that the distance between the two of them did not close.

The figure managed to maintain the initial distance.

After chasing him for more than ten minutes, the man in black ran to the dark side of Yunjian Mountain.

There was a relatively flat open area there. When he arrived, he stood still with the box in his hand, as if he had no intention of running anymore.

After such a high-speed chase, the man in black was still calm, as if nothing had happened. Even the rhythm of his breathing was not disrupted.

On the other hand, Lin Yi’s breathing was slightly hurried.

“Who are you?!”

The man in black stood where he was and did not speak. Instead, he gently placed the box on the ground and took a step back, as if he was preparing to make a move.

Lin Yi’s lips curled into a smile. Then, he took his stance and hooked his finger at the man in black.

“I like you no-nonsense people.”

Just as Lin Yi finished speaking, the man in black rushed over and jumped two meters in front of him, kicking him!
