I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 880 - 880 Death Before Success

880 Death Before Success

A few minutes later, seeing that everyone was almost ready, Yan Ci lifted the loudspeaker and said,

“Now, those who have the lifeboats, please come and collect your landing equipment.”

Behind Yan Ci was a large row of military-green backpacks.

According to the instructions, everything needed to get to the island was in his backpack.

!!
As for how long they could last once they arrived, that would depend on their own ability.

Lin Yi helped Zhao Yinian get one and handed it to her.

“So heavy?!” Zhao Yinian said strenuously.

“What did you expect? Did you think I asked you to come on an outing?”

“Hmph.”

Although Zhao Yinian was prepared, it was still a little different from what she had imagined.

“Now, everyone has already obtained their supplies. There are information packages inside. There are also introductions to the situation on the island. Everyone can read them during your free time and choose a suitable route to head towards the finish line.”

The people on the ship were silent. Their expressions were tense and serious, causing the entire ship to be filled with a depressing atmosphere.

Seeing that everyone was tense, Yan Ci did not say anything else.

“I now announce that the show has officially begun!”

With a command, the people on the deck threw the lifeboats down one after another and prepared to land on the island.

Everyone threw the lifeboat into the water like dumplings. Then, they disembarked the ship using the rope and set off toward the island.

“When are we going to make a move?” Zhao Yinian asked weakly. “If we don’t hurry, we’ll be left behind.”

“This isn’t a day-to-day job. There’s no need to fight for it.”

“Oh okay.”

Obviously, many people had the same thoughts as Lin Yi. Their movements were neither fast nor slow as they followed the crowd.

About half an hour later, more than half of the people had already left in a hurry.

Then, Lin Yi and Zhao Yinian got off the ship in an orderly manner.

Lin Yi’s movements were swift and fierce, like an agile monkey. He grabbed the rope and climbed down, then looked up at Zhao Yinian.

“What are you thinking about? Come down quickly.”

“Don’t rush me. I have to slow down.”

Zhao Yinian was a little nervous. She usually only exercised casually and jogged.

She had never shimmied down a rope before.

Lin Yi rubbed his temples. Did he accidentally take in piece of trash?

“If you don’t dare, just say it.”

“Who said I wouldn’t dare? Don’t be anxious. I’ll warm up and then go down.”

“With that body of yours, how long will it take for you to finish heating up? Come down quickly.”

“I—”

Under Lin Yi’s urging, Zhao Yinian was too embarrassed to say anything else. She grabbed the rope and got off the ship while trembling.

However, the moment her feet were suspended in the air, Zhao Yinian realized that there was a difference between imagination and reality.

Her arm strength could not support her weight at all.

“Come down. Why are you hanging up here? This posture is too strange.”

“I-I can’t hold on much longer.”

“F*ck, don’t you work out every day? You can’t hold on anymore?”

“I work out every day, but I’ve never practiced this.”

Lin Yi was speechless. “Jump down then. I’ll catch you from below.”

“But this is too high. It’s more than ten meters. Can you catch me?”

“Don’t worry, I won’t let you die.”

“Then I’ll really let go.”

At this point, Zhao Yinian felt that she had no other choice.

Her hands were getting tired, and she could no longer hold on.

“Then I’ll really let go. You have to catch me.”

“Wait a f*cking minute. Let me get the right angle.”

Before Lin Yi could say anything, Zhao Yinian let go.

“F*ck, with this IQ, how did she get into the entertainment industry?”

“Come on, catch me!”

“Who the f*ck can catch you at such a tricky angle?!”

Lin Yi moved to the side of the boat and stretched out his hands, ready to catch Zhao Yinian.

“Damn, you’re really heavy.”

The moment he caught Zhao Yinian, Lin Yi realized that this girl wasn’t light at all.

She was half a head shorter than Ji Qingyan, but she was at least five kilograms heavier than the latter!

“Hey, hey, hey. Hold on tight. Don’t shake.”

“I don’t want to shake it, but it’s not easy to control.”

Thump!

Lin Yi was already standing by the side of the boat. As he caught Zhao Yinian, he lost his balance and the two of them fell into the water.

Standing on the deck, Yan Ci covered her eyes. She was too embarrassed to look.

“My… my makeup is going to be ruined!”

In the sea, Zhao Yinian mumbled.

“You’re about to die and you’re still concerned about your makeup?” Lin Yi scolded.

“Your father’s wisdom has been wasted being passed onto you.”

Lin Yi grabbed Zhao Yinian and climbed onto the lifeboat.

At least he made the most of her usefulness.

“Do the two of you want to rest?” Li Jiani asked as she steered the boat over.

“Let’s go to the island first. This isn’t a place to rest,” Lin Yi said.

“It’s over. My makeup is ruined. I won’t look good on camera later.”

“Why do you care about your makeup when you’re participating in a show like this?” Lin Yi said, “Do you think this is a blind date show?”

“Well, I can’t look too sloppy.”

“Then you can forfeit, I’m suffering because of you.”

“You’re not gentle with your words at all.” Zhao Yinian curled his lips and said, “You don’t take me seriously at all.”

Lin Yi didn’t reply. He piloted the lifeboat and prepared to land on the island.

Because the distance was not too far, they reched the island in half an hour.

If it wasn’t for the fact that he had to mind the cameraman behind him, he would have been able to move faster.

Having said that, Lin Yi already had a plan in mind.

He had come here to complete a mission. When he reached the island, he still had to focus on the system mission. As for the cameras, he would wait for as long as he could. He could not let them delay his progress.

He did not have to care about the production team, but he had to give Yan Ci face. He could not let her efforts have been in vain.

When they reached the island, almost everyone stopped in their tracks. No one dared to take another step.

When he was on the ship, he did not think much of it. However, now that he was here, he could properly feel the vastness of this island. It was completely different from the image of the deserted island he had in his mind.

Standing here and looking to either side, he could not see over the horizon at all. It was as if he had arrived at a lost city.

In addition, not far from the island was a small cruise ship with all kinds of equipment on it to ensure that the recording would proceed normally.

However, this was not within Lin Yi’s consideration. It had nothing to do with him.

“Let’s look at the map first and study our specific route,” Li Jiani said. “This island is too desolate. We have to be careful.”

“Alright, you guys study it first. I’ll go find some firewood to heat us up.”

Lin Yi’s request was understandable. Li Jiani didn’t say anything. It was winter now, and the sea breeze was indeed a little cold. It was pretty nice to warm up by the fire.

After about twenty minutes, Lin Yi walked back with the tree branch and used the distribution tool to light the campfire.

He casually took off his shirt, wrung out the water on it, and prepared to dry out his clothes.

“You… you have such a good figure?”
