890 You’re Asking to Be Embarrased

This series of events troubled Lin Yi.

No matter how he thought about it, he could not figure it out.

“Contact Yan Ci for me. I have something to tell her.”

“Okay, one moment.”

!!
The cameraman didn’t say anything because Lin Yi was the focus of attention. He had to try his best to satisfy whatever unreasonable requests he had.

A few minutes later, the cameraman handed the earpiece to Lin Yi.

“What can I do for you?”

Yan Ci knew Lin Yi well. If there was nothing happening, he wouldn’t take the initiative to contact her.

“Did your television station’s staff arrive on the island a few days in advance?”

“What do you mean?” Yan Ci asked.

“The staff from the relevant departments came here half a month ago to set up.”

“I’m not talking about them. I’m talking about the film crew.”

“They arrived a day earlier.”

Lin Yi frowned and asked,

“Have no outsiders been on the island over the past few days?”

“No, there are a few helicopters patrolling in the sky. I didn’t spot any outsiders landing on the island.”

Yan Ci said,

“Aren’t you being too sensitive? This is an isolated island. Other than the Sunrise Landese officials or people like us with special motives, no one else would come here.”

“Director Yan, something happened.”

Just as Lin Yi was about to return the earpiece, he suddenly heard someone speak into the earpiece.

From the tone of his voice, he seemed to be a staff member of the production team.

“What happened?”

“Two Meiguon contestants whose supplies were stolen went missing on their way back to shore.”

“Hurry up and send someone to find him!” Yan Ci replied, then said to Lin Yi.

“Something happened here. I can’t talk to you for now.”

“Okay!”

Lin Yi wasn’t too concerned about Yan Ci.

Firstly, this had nothing to do with him. Secondly, the other party was a Meiguon.

Even if something really went wrong, Yan Ci would at the very worst be fired.

It was not difficult for him to protect her with his ability.

Therefore, this was a small matter. It didn’t matter if someone ended up dying.

After negotiating with Yan Ci, Lin Yi returned the earpiece to the cameraman.

Although he still had many doubts in his heart, he did not want to think about these things anymore.

At this stage, the other contestants were not as fast as him. This was the best news he could have received. At the very least, it would not delay his mission.

Lin Yi looked around and said seriously,

“Let’s retreat a hundred meters and stay here tonight. We’ll continue our journey at dawn.”

“Okay.”

When it was dark, human vision would decrease. Even Lin Yi was no exception to this.

If they continued forward, they had to turn on their flashlights. However, the wading area was the most dangerous place on the entire island.

If he switched on his flashlight, he might attract something.

If it was just one or two crocodiles, he could still barely deal with them. However, if a group of them came, tonight would be the day of his passing.

After retreating to a relatively safe place, the three of them gathered together to eat. However, in such an area, the atmosphere was much more oppressive. It was not as cheerful as during the first few days.

Night gradually fell. The cameraman, who had been busy all day, did not rest. He was preparing to film some nighttime jungle life. This would make the show seem more realistic.

Zhao Yinian didn’t set up her tent and instead went to Lin Yi’s side.

“What are you going to do? Do you want to release your animalistic desires while it’s dark?”

“No, no,” Zhao Yinian said softly.

“I’ve been sleeping with someone else for the past few days. Today, I’m staying in a tent alone. I’m a little afraid, so can the two of us sleep together?”

“Alright, go ahead.”

Lin Yi didn’t think too much about it, and his expression didn’t change.

In a place like this, one had to wear clothes to sleep. There was no way to let the imagination run wild.

Even if Zhao Yinian made such a request, Lin Yi didn’t feel anything.

“Then why are you standing outside? Aren’t you going to sleep?”

“I’ll keep watch here.”

“Are you afraid that it’s not safe for a girl like me? That’s why you have to guard here tonight, right?”

“I’m afraid that the crocodile will come and eat us all without anyone knowing. It has nothing to do with protecting you.”

“Aiya, why don’t you have any sense of romanticism at all?” Zhao Yinian said.

“You should say that I’m staying here to protect you. Then, I’ll hype up the media couple pairing. When it’s broadcasted, I guarantee that you’ll gain popularity and become famous.”

“Uh, don’t you think it’s boring?”

“Cough, cough, cough. Mr. Lin, I think what Yinian said makes sense. This can indeed stir up some topics and increase the viewership ratings of the show.”

“Don’t talk nonsense, I have a girlfriend.” Lin Yi said.

“If she sees this, I won’t be allowed to go home and sleep tonight.”

“Aiya, this will help you become famous quickly. Your girlfriend won’t mind.”

“It’s mainly because I don’t want to be famous. Besides, I don’t lack money. There’s no need for me to do such a thing.”

“But you won’t lose out by forming a couple with me. Although I’m a C-list celebrity, I’m at least a celebrity. I’m considered very good at looking.”

Lin Yi rubbed his chin. “In front of my girlfriend, you’re just a piece of trash with a combat strength of 5, so don’t say that you’re good-looking.”

“I don’t believe you,” Zhao Yinian said.

“Even those top actresses in the entertainment industry don’t dare to say that they can beat me in terms of looks.”

“Don’t embarrass yourself. If you have the time, sleep a little longer. We still have to travel at dawn.”

Zhao Yinian looked at Lin Yi with ill intentions.

“Is your girlfriend an old rich woman? Is that why you don’t dare to show our relationship?”

“Mr. Lin, I’m actually a little curious too,” the cameraman said coyly.

“I’ve met many male celebrities, but they can’t compare to you in terms of figure, looks, or temperament. Moreover, you’re so outstanding and know everything. I feel that no one is worthy of you except a rich woman.”

“Actually, I don’t refute your words at all. My girlfriend is really rich.”

“Look, I got it right.” Zhao Yinian laughed and said.

“Hurry up and show us. I can’t wait.”

“I can’t show you. I don’t have a phone. I’ll show her to you when I return.”

“I have it here.” The cameraman smiled and said,

“This is actually only for emergencies. That’s why every one of our cameramen is equipped with one.”

“Come, come, come. Here’s the phone. You can show us her photo after logging into your WeChat.” Zhao Yinian said eagerly.

“I really want to see what the person who can beat me in terms of looks.”

“You’re courting death.”

“Haha, then please let me die in an undeniable manner.”

Lin Yi shook his head helplessly and logged into his WeChat.

She then sent a WeChat video call request to Ji Qingyan.

Ten seconds later, the video call was connected. When they saw Ji Qingyan, Zhao Yinian and the cameraman were stunned.

They felt that the starry sky and the moon in the sky had suddenly become bright and clear.
