The two of them were affected by Lin Yi’s emotions and felt a little sad.

“This is a common problem in poor mountainous areas. Generally speaking, transportation is underdeveloped. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be labeled as poor,” Qi Xianzhao said.

Lin Yi nodded. “How bad is the road you mentioned just now?”

“It’s just a small road measuring about two meters wide. If it doesn’t rain, you’ll barely be able to walk. On a rainy day, not even an ox cart can pass through. When President Zhao of the fund went to inspect it previously, it just so happened to be raining. Even his Land Cruiser was stuck.”

“No way, not even a Land Cruiser could get past? The road conditions are too f*cked up.”

!!
“That’s right. That’s why they can only go out on sunny days.” Qi Xianzhao said.

“In addition, there’s a river outside the town. It’s more than 30 meters wide. The villagers put a swing to cross it, but they will still struggle to leave. I think the people in the city will be afraid when they see it.”

“That’s a hell of a condition.”

“That’s the general situation. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be so poor.”

Lin Yi rubbed his chin and thought for a few minutes. “I’ll be a good person and do this properly. When I have time, I’ll look for your senior sister and do the project accounting. I’ll see how much it costs to build a road and bridge for them.”

“No way. Boss, you even want to build them roads and bridges? Although it’s only a few kilometers, it will cost tens of millions. It’s even more expensive than the Hope School we want to build.”

“But if we don’t resolve these infrastructure issues, the school will be an empty shell. How much salary will you have to pay to attract teachers to teach there?”

“Still, this is a little extravagant.”

“Don’t worry, I won’t provide all the money myself,” Lin Yi said, “Let’s pay a little and get some local funding. In doing so, the matter will be resolved perfectly.”

“Boss, you’re really amazing,” He Yuanyuan said.

Although the boss often acted cool, he still had good foresight and was kind.

“You don’t understand. Leaders have to have foresight. That’s why I’m the boss and you’re the employees.”

“Foresight?” He Yuanyuan was surprised. “Are you planning to invest in that river to rear fish?”

“Naive! Narrow! Shallow!” Lin Yi said.

“Think about it. When the three of us die, my epitaph will say that the famous patriotic businessman, educator, philanthropist, scientist, and musician in Huaxia is extremely handsome. Your tombstones will be empty.”

He Yuanyuan was speechless.

“We don’t care if it’s empty, but what do you mean by ‘so handsome’? Whose epitaph would contain such things!” He Yuanyuan said.

“I think your epitaph should say that you’re the famous King of Huaxia, an honorary member of the Huaxia Lake Association, a scumbag ancestor…”

“No, no, no. I can’t be considered a scumbag ancestor. That would be your Teacher Peng. Compared to him, I’m just a young student.”

“Don’t try to divert the attack.” He Yuanyuan said, “Besides, Teacher Peng is not that kind of person.”

Obviously, He Yuanyuan also knew about Peng Xingguo’s glorious deeds.

“I’m just reminding you to be more polite to me in the future. Otherwise, when I die, I’ll tell my grandson to pee on your tombstone.”

He Yuanyuan was speechless.

Qi Xianzhao was speechless.

How savage!

After dinner, Qi Xianzhao and He Yuanyuan returned to Lingyun Group. Lin Yi drove towards Sugar’s house and called her in advance, telling her to go downstairs in twenty minutes so that they could go to school together.

Ring!

Sugar called twenty minutes later.

“I’m downstairs. Where are you?”

“There’s a traffic jam. I’ll be there soon.”

“Come quickly. The wind is strong today. I’m about to be blown away.”

“Do you think you can be blown away with your weight?”

“I’m light.”

“Are you just filled with ash?”

After hanging up, Lin Yi turned the car into Sugar’s neighborhood.

Although they had not seen each other for a while, Sugar’s attire was still the same, perfectly suited for a strong woman.

She was wearing a white suit coat and a blue blouse. She looked clean and neat, and she had the familiar wavy hair of a sl*t.

Not to mention, they were both still big and round.

“What have you been busy with recently? Don’t tell me you’ve gone to drive for Didi again?” Su Ge asked after getting into the car.

“I went to the hospital to be a doctor.”

“Uh… Really?” Sugar obviously didn’t believe him. “Were you a doctor or did you do logistics? Be more specific.”

“Of course I was a doctor,” Lin Yi said, “I’m the deputy director of the cardiology department of Huashan Hospital. You’re welcome to register whenever you want.”

“I really admire you. You actually know modern medicine. I remember that you studied marketing for your undergraduate dgree, but you didn’t seem to study medicine.”

“I had no choice. I didn’t want to be so well-rounded, but I’m just that outstanding.”

“Alright, if I ever feel uncomfortable, I’ll look for you.”

“I think there’s something wrong with you right now. Do you want me to diagnose you?”

“No way, what’s wrong?”

“You have symptoms of excessive fat accumulation and uneven distribution.”

“Huh? Excessive fat accumulation and uneven distribution?” Sugar muttered. “Are you trying to say that I’m busty?”

“That’s already common knowledge. Since there’s no one in the car, I can just show you what I mean.”

“Hmph, you wish.”

The two of them chatted all the way.

After arriving at school, they parked the car and walked towards the teaching building.

“By the way, do you know why Principal Zhao is looking for me?”

“I think it might be related to those entrepreneurial graduates.”

“Entrepreneur?”

There were many college students starting their own businesses in various schools.

However, these were usually small-scale. They would try to start something, but after facing the baptism of reality, more than 99.9% of them would die off.

“I’m not too sure about the details. You have to ask Principal Zhao.” Sugar combed her hair that was messed up by the wind and said,

“But there’s another possibility.”

“Can’t you just finish your sentence?”

“What’s the hurry?” Sugar rolled his eyes at Lin Yi.

“Isn’t school just starting? The school has a welcoming ceremony, but other than the freshmen, a portion of the audience will be fourth-year students who are about to go out for an internship. Perhaps they want you to attend the performance as one of the leaders. After all, you’re the vice-principal of the university. You’re more than qualified to attend.”

“But I’m just a drifter. Principal Zhao knows my situation. This can’t be the case,” Lin Yi said.

“Besides, isn’t it a little too early to hold a welcoming ceremony at this time?”

“In the past, it was always held at the end of the month, but this year, Principal Zhao invited an important guest. In order to accommodate his time, he brought it forward.”

“No way, who could be so awesome?”

Sugar shrugged. “I don’t know about that. You’ll have to ask Principal Zhao about it.”

“Alright, I’ll go over first.”

When they reached Bishop Block, the two of them parted ways. Lin Yi turned around and went to Principal Qi’s office.

“Teacher Lin, you’re here.”

Seeing Lin Yi enter, Zhao Qi stood up and welcomed him to the sofa.

“Sit, sit. I’ve been waiting for you for a while.”

The two of them sat down, drank tea, and chatted. Lin Yi put down his cup and said,

“Principal Zhao, I’m not an outsider. If there’s anything, just say it. As long as I can do it, it won’t be a problem.”

“Teacher Lin, I’ll get straight to the point.” Zhao Qi poured a cup of tea for Lin Yi and said.

“It’s like this. Two graduates have developed an app. I heard that they have already been launched in the Apple and Android stores. They now want to apply for a start-up fund. Right now, I want to write your name in the instructor column.”
