“You claim that Lin Yi received bribes in private?”

“That’s right!” Wang Zeyi said, “This kind of behavior is simply a disgrace to Huashan Hospital. Please investigate this!”

At this point, Wang Zeyi smiled confidently.

With their relationship with his father, they should know what to do now that he had said so much.

After all, they didn’t know Lin Yi’s identity yet. They only thought that he was an ordinary surgical director.

!!
It would definitely be easy to chase him away.

“Director Wang, are you sure you want to report Director Lin?” Miao Guofeng said coldly.

They all knew what kind of person Lin Yi was, not to mention his close relationship with Liang Ruoxu.

He wouldn’t bother taking this money because he was the boss of Zhonghai International Racetrack.

Now, this guy was actually reporting Lin Yi for accepting gifts. It was completely fake!

“That’s right. I can guarantee with my character that Lin Yi has definitely accepted the gift. Directors, please handle this matter seriously.”

“Do you have proof?”

“Proof?”

Wang Zeyi was a little stunned. He had already said so much. Could it be that the two of them still didn’t understand what he meant?

Was it not enough for them to fire a temporary deputy director?

“I’m still collecting evidence. I’ll find it soon.”

Bang!

Miao Guofeng slammed the table and stood up!

“Wang Zeyi, I think you’re deliberately slandering Director Lin! What are your intentions?!”

Now, their fates were in Lin Yi’s hands. No one in the entire Huashan Hospital dared to touch Lin Yi. Who was Wang Zeyi to accuse him?

“I, I…”

Wang Zeyi was rendered speechless and broke out in cold sweat. He did not know how to deal with the angry Miao Guofeng.

“Old Miao, calm down,” Duan Yongchun said.

Wang Ze heaved a sigh of relief. His father had a good relationship with Director Duan.

With him interceding on his behalf, this was not a big problem.

“Zeyi,” Duan Yongchun said.

“Director Duan, I’m here,” Wang Zeyi said with a smile.

“I don’t think you’re qualified to be a director of Huashan Hospital at your current level. Pack your things and leave.”

“Ah?!”

Wang Zeyi’s eyes were dull, feeling like he was hallucinating.

Director Duan had a good relationship with his father. It was all thanks to Director Duan that he could become the deputy director.

However, now, he not only didn’t speak up for him and even wanted to fire him?

What was he trying to do?!

“Director, Director Duan, are you sure you want to fire me?”

“Yes, leave now.” Duan Yongchun waved his hand impatiently. “I have other things to discuss with Director Miao. You can leave now.”

“But my dad—”

“What’s this have to do with your father?” Duan Yongchun snorted in disdain. “This is a hospital. Do you think he can control us?”

“No, no, no, I didn’t mean that, but…”

“There are no buts. Hurry up and leave. From now on, I don’t want to see you at Huashan Hospital anymore!”

“I-I understand…”

Wang Ze walked out of the director’s office like a zombie.

He still could not believe what had just happened.

He came here because he wanted them to fire Lin Yi. How did he end up being fired?

Why were they protecting Lin Yi?

Did he know Lin Yi’s true identity?

Wang Zeyi didn’t dare to think about it anymore. Perhaps there really was such a possibility.

Thinking of this, Wang Zeyi wanted to slap himself.

If he had known earlier, he wouldn’t have gone to look for Duan Yongchun!

He returned to the department in a daze. Wang Zeyi was still thinking of a reason to explain his resignation to the department.

This was too embarrassing. He had to think of a more dignified reason.

However, after thinking for a long time, he could not think of a suitable excuse.

In the department, Lin Yi and Li Chuhan were sitting together discussing the case.

Wang Zeyi felt even more sorrowful. He was as good as dead before his ambition was fulfilled.

“Director Wang, I heard that you were fired/”

‘Um…’

Just as Wang Zeyi was feeling vexed, Qiao Xin walked in and said.

As soon as these words were spoken, it could be said to have caused a huge wave. Everyone in the department looked at Wang Zeyi in unison.

This news was too sudden. How could things turn out like this?

“Little Qiao, what are you talking about?” Li Chuhan said.

If someone was fired, she, the director, would be the first to know. How could she have gotten the news before him?

“I went to HR just now to help Brother Lin with the procedures. I heard this from Director Chen.”

The people in the department stopped talking. The news had already reached the human resources department, so it couldn’t be wrong.

“Well …”

Wang Zeyi’s expression was awkward. He stood up and explained, “You misheard. I wasn’t fired. Don’t spout nonsense.”

“I heard Director Chen say it.”

“Actually, I resigned on my own. I’m preparing to go to Meiguo to further my studies.” Wang Zeyi said with a smile.

“My friends will be picking me up later. I wanted to wait for them to come before leaving, so I didn’t inform you immediately. I didn’t expect you to share it.”

“I see. Congratulations.”

“Of course. What else can I do? Do you really think I was fired?”

Wang Zeyi heaved a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he was quick-witted and thought up a reason. This way, he could leave openly and not be afraid of what others would say.

At this moment, two uniformed police officers walked in from outside and looked at Wang Zeyi.

“You’re Wang Zeyi, right? Is your father’s name Wang Yanxing?”

“Yes, yes…”

Everyone in the department was surprised to see the two police officers. Wang Zeyi was the same.

Everything was fine. Why were the police here?

“Police, why are you looking for me?”

“Your father, Wang Yanxing, is facing serious corruption and bribery charges. We have to bring you back to assist in investigation. Come with us.”

“Well …”

The two police officers didn’t give Wang Zeyi a chance to speak. They cuffed him and took him out of the department.

This series of events made the people in the department a little confused.

“What’s going on? Didn’t Director Wang say that he was going to Meiguo to further his studies? He even said that a friend would pick him up. Why was he taken away by the police in the end? This is so exciting!”

Lin Yi could roughly guess what had happened.

Liang Ruoxu had already made her move, and Zhonghai was her main target.

In addition, when he was previously negotiating with Pfizer, his father, Wang Yanxing, was also one of the negotiators. He would definitely receive gifts.

Now that he had started to make a move, he naturally had to make an example of his father.

“You might have heard wrongly.” Lin Yi said.

“He wasn’t talking about further studies. He was talking about reformation. That’s why it was the police who picked him up. I have to say, this all happened really .”

“Director Lin, how long has it been? One of the department directors and three deputy directors of the bardiology department have been arrested. The cardiology department is toxic!” Yuan Siqi said.
