Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 436 The Mysterious Meeting! The conversation between Su Chen and Elder Qin stirred up a storm in the hearts of The Su Family.

They simply couldn’t believe their ears; their own son, whom they were more than familiar with on a daily basis, had just spoken to Elder Qin in such a casual tone...

One had to know that Elder Qin was the guardian deity of the Dragon Kingdom, a great hero in the hearts of countless citizens of the Dragon Kingdom!

He symbolized the stability and strength of the Dragon Kingdom!

The Su Family was filled with doubt and shock. When had this brat become so daring as to treat Elder Qin in such a manner?

Furthermore, what surprised them even more was that Elder Qin showed not a hint of anger; instead, his tone was kind and amiable. The atmosphere while they communicated was as natural and harmonious as that of old friends who had known each other for many years, which was truly baffling.

Father Su was a reasonable man. He realized that his son’s behavior seemed somewhat inappropriate, so he immediately rushed to apologize to Elder Qin on the other end of the phone:

”I’m sorry, Elder Qin. This brat is too ignorant; he actually dared to speak to you like that. When he returns, I will definitely teach him a lesson and make him understand what it means to respect his elders and what it means to respect a hero!”

Elder Qin, however, did not mind at all. Instead, he laughed heartily, his laughter filled with open-mindedness and tolerance:

”Why make such a big fuss about this, Mr. Su? Little Chen is always this casual when he interacts with me in his daily life; I have already become accustomed to it.”

”This child is straightforward by nature. We don’t need those tedious formalities between us; it actually feels more intimate and natural this way.”

Hearing these words from Elder Qin, The Su Family was once again stunned into silence.

What?

Their own son actually talked to Elder Qin like this often, and Elder Qin didn’t mind at all!

He even thought this way of interacting was normal?

In their hearts, Elder Qin was so high and mighty, like a star beyond reach!

And now, this mode of interaction between their son and Elder Qin truly shattered their previous perceptions.

At this moment, Elder Qin smiled and handed the phone back to Su Chen.

”Hello, Dad?”

”Has the nutrient pod that I arranged for people to send over arrived yet?”

Su Chen asked with concern.

Father Su finally came back to his senses from the shock.

Thinking of his son’s attitude toward Elder Qin, he couldn’t help but feel both anxious and angry, and hurriedly scolded him:

”You brat! How can you be so rude to Elder Qin?”

”He is our Dragon Kingdom’s great hero, the guardian deity who protects our country and our people!”

”You must maintain sufficient respect for Elder Qin!”

Su Chen was stunned for a moment and instinctively turned his head to look at Elder Qin!

He saw that Elder Qin was currently stroking his beard in a leisurely manner, putting on an expression of high moral standing and prestige!

It was as if he were thoroughly enjoying this atmosphere of being revered.

Su Chen secretly grumbled in his heart:

”Good grief, it seems you’ve stolen all the limelight!”

Elder Qin seemed to notice Su Chen’s gaze and smiled innocently at him, looking as if he were helpless.

However, Su Chen didn’t mind!

He understood in his heart that his identity was special, and many things could not be easily exposed!

Otherwise, once unnecessary trouble was caused, it would bring many adverse effects to the country and his own research work.

Elder Qin did not want to keep Father Su worried, so he took the phone again and said to Father Su in an earnest and well-meaning tone:

”Mr. Su, you really don’t need to worry about this matter.”

”The relationship between Little Chen and me is by no means what it appears on the surface. I genuinely admire this child, Little Chen; he has extraordinary talent and ability and has made many indelible contributions to the country. We trust and support each other at work, and we get along very harmoniously in private!”

”There is absolutely no need for those rigid formalities. If he were to be polite and cautious with me, it would only make our relationship distant.”

Hearing such high praise from Elder Qin for their son, The Su Family was filled with shock and pride.

In their eyes, although their son had always been their pride and joy, and being admitted to the National Defense University was already an amazing thing, they still felt flattered to hear such highly complimentary words about their son from Elder Qin.

To be excellent enough to be praised so highly by the guardian deity of the Dragon Kingdom—they had no idea what kind of amazing achievements their son, whom they were familiar with daily, had actually made outside.

In fact, if they could fully understand everything Su Chen had sacrificed for the Dragon Kingdom and the glorious achievements he had attained, they would understand that Elder Qin’s assessment was actually quite restrained.

The abilities and contributions displayed by Su Chen were completely worthy of such lofty titles as the true guardian deity and great hero of the Dragon Kingdom.

Su Chen took the phone back, chatted affectionately with his family for a while longer, comforted his parents, and then hung up the phone.

Elder Qin looked at Su Chen with a smile at this moment and teased:

”You brat, I just carefully pondered your father’s words and felt that what he said was indeed reasonable.”

”No matter what, I am the guardian deity and a great hero of the Dragon Kingdom. Shouldn’t you pay a little more attention to your attitude when you talk to me in the future?”

Su Chen smiled helplessly, a black line appearing on his forehead, and said:

”Elder Qin, please stop teasing me. I’m busy with research here, so please don’t add to the chaos.”

Seeing this, Elder Qin put away his joking expression, his face becoming serious and earnest:

”Alright, alright, alright! Actually, I came to find you this time because I wanted to discuss with you the idea of holding a virtual practical combat tournament.”

”Nowadays, the enthusiasm for participating in the practical combat training system among the whole population is high. Perhaps we can take advantage of this opportunity to hold a tournament and more efficiently screen for those Mecha Warriors with exceptional talent!”

Su Chen thought for a moment, a flash of light appearing in his eyes, and said:

”This is a good idea. Holding a virtual practical combat tournament will not only speed up the selection of talented Mecha Warriors but also further stimulate the public’s enthusiasm for participation.”

”Moreover, we can set up some very attractive rewards. If there is a need, I can assist in developing a new tournament system to ensure that the tournament can be conducted fairly, justly, and openly.”

Hearing Su Chen’s ideas, Elder Qin was very satisfied in his heart, but he couldn’t help but ask with concern:

”Will developing a new tournament system consume too much of your time and energy?”

”You are already shouldering important research tasks here, and I don’t want to delay your research on the Plesiosaur Monster samples because of this.”

Su Chen waved his hand confidently and said:

”Elder Qin, rest assured!”

”It’s just developing a tournament system; one day is enough, and it won’t have too much of an impact on my other work.”

”Nowadays, the country is in a critical period. Future space exploration plans require a large number of excellent Mecha Warriors. Taking advantage of this opportunity now to expand the excellent Mech Legion is an extremely important and urgent matter.”

Elder Qin nodded in deep agreement and sighed with emotion:

”That’s right, Little Chen. Our current scientific research strength is constantly improving, and it no longer allows us to be limited to just guarding Blue Star!”

”The universe is vast and unknown, hiding countless opportunities and challenges within. We must bravely step out, and along this journey, we will inevitably encounter all kinds of complex and thorny problems!”

”And you, along with those excellent warriors, are the most solid backing of our Dragon Kingdom.”

Su Chen grinned and said, ”Elder Qin, you have too much confidence in me, don’t you?”

Elder Qin looked at Su Chen with a firm gaze and said earnestly:

”Little Chen, my trust in you is by no means blind.”

”I have not only witnessed with my own eyes the extraordinary talent and innovative ability you have displayed in the scientific research field, but I have also seen your burning, patriotic heart that always beats for the country and the people.”

”Having talent like you is the good fortune of the Dragon Kingdom!”

Hearing these deep and emotional words from Elder Qin, a warm current surged in Su Chen’s heart, but he felt the atmosphere was a bit too serious, so he quickly said:

”Alright, alright, Elder Qin, any more and it will be too sentimental!”

”The readers are probably going to get tired of hearing this!”

Elder Qin laughed heartily and said:

”Alright, alright, then let’s not talk about these things for now.”

”You should start developing the tournament system as soon as possible. I will also arrange relevant personnel to connect with you to jointly perfect all the details of the tournament.”

”Then I will go back first. Don’t bother seeing me off; hurry and get busy with your work.”

Su Chen said deliberately, ”I wasn’t planning on seeing you off anyway!”

Elder Qin laughed and scolded, ”You brat, you are still so disrespectful.”

Su Chen also laughed along. Despite what he said, out of respect for Elder Qin, he still saw Elder Qin to the door of the Laboratory.

After Elder Qin left, Su Chen immediately adjusted his state, temporarily setting aside his research on the Plesiosaur Monster samples, and devoted himself wholeheartedly to developing the new tournament system for the practical combat training system.

At the same time, the relevant national departments also quickly made contact with Su Chen. The two sides cooperated closely and launched an in-depth creative exploration of the various details of the tournament system.

From the rules of the tournament and scene design to the optimization of the reward mechanism, every link was subjected to repeated discussion and deliberation.

After Elder Qin returned to his office, he sat in front of his large desk. He pondered for a long time, and suddenly called a major meeting!

Before long, the conference room was filled with high-level officials of the Dragon Kingdom.
