Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 407 Second Generation Mech SuitOn the side of the Dragon Kingdom, excellent news spread like a spring breeze, quickly reaching all the high-level officials of the Dragon Kingdom and instantly causing a massive stir.

This news was that the Second-Generation Mecha, developed by the team led by Su Chen, had successfully come into being!

When the news arrived, Elder Qin was presiding over an important meeting in the conference room. Upon hearing the news, he did not hesitate to hurriedly stop the ongoing meeting agenda and rushed, anxious and impatient, to the conference room where the Second-Generation Mecha was being displayed.

Almost at the same time, Elder Zhao also heard the news and rushed over. Both old men walked with a sense of urgency, their faces filled with irrepressible excitement.

The significance of the Second-Generation Mecha’s debut was truly self-evident.

According to Su Chen’s original conception and promise, the combat power of this Second-Generation Mecha was several times that of the First-generation Mecha. Once put into use, it would surely be able to greatly enhance the troops’ combat effectiveness and might even, in this difficult stalemate with the monsters, turn the tide in one fell swoop and become the key for humanity to defeat the monsters!

Elder Qin and Elder Zhao hurried to Su Chen’s laboratory. As soon as they entered, they saw the researchers inside still busy at their respective posts. Various instruments and equipment emitted a faint humming sound, and the entire laboratory was permeated with a tense and focused scientific atmosphere.

Seeing this, Elder Qin could not help but be a bit surprised. He looked at Su Chen and asked doubtfully:

”Little Chen, didn’t you say that the Second-Generation Mecha had already been manufactured?”

”I was so excited that I didn’t even finish the meeting and rushed over here in a hurry.”

Su Chen looked up, saw that both Elder Qin and Elder Zhao had arrived, and immediately smiled. He hurried forward and said, ”It is naturally finished. What is being researched here is the upgrade work for the Space Mecha.”

”I thought that not only should the First-generation Mecha Suit be upgraded, but the Space Mecha also needs to keep pace with the times, so I have already started the upgrade work, and it will be ready for testing soon.”

Hearing Su Chen’s words, Elder Qin and Elder Zhao were stunned for a moment, then couldn’t help but look at each other, their eyes instantly revealing irrepressible joy.

Elder Zhao was so excited that his face turned red, and his voice raised significantly as he said loudly:

”Good lad, I originally thought you just had immense ability, but I didn’t expect you to have ’sky-defying’ ability!”

Elder Qin hurriedly coughed lightly, gave Elder Zhao a helpless glare, and said:

”Old Zhao, there are so many people here. Words like ’sky-defying’ are coming out of your mouth—you should restrain yourself a bit and mind your image, okay?”

Elder Zhao, however, disagreed. He grinned and scratched his head, saying:

”I... I’m just happy, I’m just too excited.”

”I originally thought it would be impressive enough if this brat could upgrade the First-generation Mecha, but I didn’t expect that now even the Space Mecha is being upgraded for us. This is truly unexpected.”

As he spoke, he looked at Su Chen again, his eyes full of anticipation, and asked impatiently:

”Brat, when will you upgrade the Aerospace Carrier for me too?”

Su Chen chuckled and replied unhurriedly:

”It is already in the plans.”

Upon hearing this, Elder Zhao was completely dumbfounded. He had originally just mentioned it casually, intending it as a joke; he hadn’t expected that Su Chen was already planning this.

At this, his admiration for Su Chen increased even more. He couldn’t help but sigh inwardly that this time, Su Chen was on another level, thinking much further ahead than anyone else.

As the captain of the Dragon Kingdom fleet, Elder Zhao was extremely concerned and excited about military equipment upgrades. He stepped forward, grabbed Su Chen’s hand, and asked eagerly:

”Good lad, give me the inside scoop: how do you plan to upgrade the Aerospace Carrier?”

Su Chen also held Elder Zhao’s hand and said with a smile:

”Elder Zhao, I know you are anxious, but don’t be anxious yet.”

”The upgrade work for the Aerospace Carrier is a massive project. I cannot tell you the specific direction of the upgrade right now, but I can guarantee you that the Second-Generation Aerospace Carrier will definitely not disappoint you; it will certainly be more powerful than the current one.”

With this sincere and confident assurance from Su Chen, the heavy stone in Elder Zhao’s heart finally fell, and he was completely relieved.

After all, in his heart, Su Chen always kept his word and never made empty promises; whatever he said, he was absolutely certain about.

”Good, good, good. I will wait for the day you build the Second-Generation Aerospace Carrier. I can’t wait to see it.”

Elder Zhao was full of smiles, his eyes filled with anticipation.

Elder Qin, meanwhile, looked around the entire laboratory and found that the researchers were all conducting careful and detailed research on the Space Mecha, with the lights of various detection instruments flashing incessantly, but he could not see where the second-generation mecha suit was!

This made him feel a bit puzzled, so he asked:

”Little Chen, take out the second-generation mecha suit and let us see it! This old man has been looking forward to it immensely!”

Elder Zhao also nodded in agreement from the side, his eyes equally filled with curiosity and urgency.

Su Chen smiled calmly, turned around, and called over a staff member, asking them to bring a box.

Elder Qin and Elder Zhao’s gazes instantly fell on that box. Like children seeing a novel toy, they examined it seriously.

The box looked ordinary, just a very plain box with nothing special about its appearance. Compared to the cool, transformable box of the First-generation Mecha, it was like heaven and earth.

Elder Zhao couldn’t help but ask first:

”Little Chen, this box looks just like an ordinary box. It is completely different from the box for the First-generation Mecha. Does it really contain the second-generation mecha suit?”

Elder Qin, however, pretended to be knowledgeable and said seriously:

”After all, it is an upgraded mecha. A box like this that looks like an ordinary one is surely more convenient for camouflage, isn’t it? Perhaps this is also a new design concept.”

Hearing Elder Qin’s words, Elder Zhao nodded as if he understood, his face revealing an expression of realization.

Just then, Su Chen couldn’t help but laugh out loud and said:

”Actually... this is just an ordinary box.”

As soon as these words were spoken, Elder Zhao immediately turned to look at Elder Qin, his eyes seeming to say, ”Look at you, you didn’t understand but you explained it anyway.” Elder Qin immediately blushed, and coughed lightly in embarrassment.

Su Chen didn’t say anything more and directly opened the box in his hand. The moment the box was opened, a garment as thin as a cicada’s wing appeared inside.

Elder Qin curiously picked up the garment. Upon touching it, he felt the material was somewhat cold and the texture was very strange. But no matter how he looked at it, it was just a piece of clothing, and it was far from the mecha in their impression.

Elder Qin and Elder Zhao touched the garment, their faces showing confusion. Elder Qin spoke first:

”Little Chen, why did you have us look at a piece of clothing?”

”Is there anything magical about this clothing?”

”Don’t tell me this is the second-generation mecha suit you manufactured.”

As Elder Qin said this, he shook his head and said firmly:

”How is that possible? This is clearly just a piece of clothing; how could it be a mecha?”

Su Chen looked at the garment, which looked very thin, with a serious face and said firmly:

”This is the second-generation mecha suit!”

Upon hearing this, Elder Qin and Elder Zhao were instantly shocked, their eyes wide and their faces full of disbelief.
