Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 408 I know a place that’s perfect!Elder Qin and Elder Zhao looked at Su Chen’s incredibly serious expression, their astonishment beyond words.

They truly couldn’t associate the thin-as-a-cicada’s-wing, cool and smooth-to-the-touch clothing in their hands with the full-bodied humanoid metal weapons of their past impressions—the Individual Mecha.

That First-generation Mecha exuded the hardness and heaviness of metal, with all kinds of weapons and equipment clearly visible, but this clothing before them didn’t look like a mecha capable of such powerful combat capabilities at all.

Su Chen took the clothing, his face full of satisfaction!

He could see the confusion in the two elders’ eyes, but he was happy that they were so interested in the Second-Generation Mecha he had built, so he patiently explained to them:

”I know you might not believe it, but actually, when I was conceptualizing the second-generation mecha suit, even I felt that it was almost impossible to achieve.”

”After all, a Mecha Suit has many functions. Normally, there’s no way to implement them on such a thin layer of clothing. For example, the weapon system, which is an important attack method for a mecha, and the rocket propulsion system, which concerns the mecha’s mobility and speed, etc. Integrating these functions into such a light and thin piece of clothing feels too difficult just thinking about it.”

Speaking of this, Su Chen paused, a glimmer of excitement flashing in his eyes, and continued:

”But later, when I was researching the Monster Gene Bank, I discovered that the mutated genes extracted from it had excellent characteristics.”

”After some weighing, I decided to give up some relatively less critical functions and instead used these monster genes to focus on enhancing its most important functions!”

”Just like that, this Second-Generation Mecha was born.”

Seeing that the two were still full of surprise, Su Chen didn’t say anything more; he just smiled calmly and decided to show it to them directly.

Su Chen deftly put on the second-generation mecha suit. In an instant, the clothing seemed to come alive; a layer of faint light flashed, and Su Chen was completely enveloped by the mecha.

At this moment, he looked as if he were covered in a layer of thin metal scales, shimmering brilliantly under the sunlight. He looked both sci-fi and handsome, completely different from the feeling of just holding the clothing a moment ago.

Elder Zhao couldn’t help but curiously reach out to touch it. This touch amazed him even more. He discovered that after Su Chen put on this Mecha Suit, the originally soft material instantly became exceptionally elastic. Moreover, the mecha seemed to have fused with Su Chen’s body, fitting perfectly without any gaps, and every movement could naturally follow Su Chen’s limbs, without any sense of stiffness or lag.

Su Chen watched their surprised expressions and said with a smile:

”Let’s go to the rooftop to conduct a test! Oh, right, I also need to take that box!”

Elder Zhao and Elder Qin followed Su Chen’s gaze and saw a two-meter-tall metal box placed not far away!

The box looked extremely heavy, made entirely of metal, and was giving off a cold luster. Just looking at it, it must have weighed at least several tons.

Elder Zhao said subconsciously:

”I’ll go call someone to help you move it. How could you move such a heavy box by yourself?”

Su Chen waved his hand and said with a relaxed face:

”No need, I can move it myself.”

Upon hearing this, Elder Zhao widened his eyes, looked at that huge box again, and thought:

”Are you kidding me? How could you possibly lift such a big iron box...”

”Eh? Eh? Eh?”

Su Chen walked up to the box, bent down, grabbed it with both hands, and easily lifted it up. Then, he effortlessly shouldered it. His smooth, flowing movements were as if he weren’t carrying a metal box weighing several tons, but a small handful of cotton.

Elder Zhao was so shocked his jaw almost dropped, and he couldn’t help but curse:

”Holy crap! Holy crap! Old Qin... I... I’m not seeing things, am I!”

He hurriedly glanced at Elder Qin beside him and found that Elder Qin’s originally calm eyes were now also filled with shock!

Because he couldn’t believe the scene he was seeing, he even subconsciously rubbed his eyes. After finally confirming it was real, the two were almost petrified on the spot, standing there in a daze for a long time without regaining their senses.

”He lifted it, he really lifted it!”

”Little Chen actually managed to lift that metal box that looks like it weighs several tons!”

”No, to be exact, it wasn’t just lifting; he picked it up very easily and even shouldered it. This... this is just too incredible!”

Elder Zhao muttered to himself, his voice trembling from shock.

Elder Qin was also wearing an expression of disbelief. They never imagined that after Su Chen put on this Mecha Suit, he could have such astonishing strength!

At this moment, they believed a bit more that this clothing was indeed a Mecha Suit, as this display of strength beyond human imagination couldn’t be faked.

Afterwards, they watched Su Chen carry the box and walk briskly to a spacious open area. The two hurriedly followed, their eyes never leaving Su Chen for a moment, full of curiosity and anticipation, wanting to see what other magical features this Second-Generation Mecha had.

Elder Qin couldn’t suppress the questions in his heart and asked first:

”Little Chen, how is this mecha’s combat capability?”

Elder Zhao also chimed in from the side:

”Old Qin, don’t be anxious. According to Little Chen’s habits, he will definitely conduct basic tests first. This combat test will probably come later.”

However, although he was advising Elder Qin like this, Elder Zhao himself had a trace of doubt in his eyes. While speaking, he was also looking up and down at the Mecha Suit, his doubts actually growing heavier.

Su Chen smiled and said:

”No need, we can just proceed directly to the combat capability test.”

”This Second-Generation Mecha is more combat-oriented. Its basic capabilities might not compare to the First-generation Mecha, so I mainly focused on enhancing its combat capability. Its combat power is far stronger than the First-generation Mecha.”

Hearing Su Chen say this, the two were completely bewildered!

They carefully examined the thin-as-a-cicada’s-wing Mecha Suit again, which looked just like a tight suit worn by an ordinary person. No matter how they looked at it, they didn’t think there was anything particularly powerful about it.

Elder Zhao asked, looking puzzled:

”Little Chen, you said the Second-Generation Mecha has stronger combat power than the First-generation Mecha and is more combat-oriented, but why don’t I see its weapon system?”

”The First-generation Mecha had powerful weapons like the Particle Laser Cannon. Are you going to fight monsters hand-to-hand with your bare hands?”

Elder Qin also nodded from the side and said:

”That’s right, it’s one thing not to see a weapon system, but there’s no rocket propulsion system either. This mecha doesn’t look like it can fly either!”

”The speed definitely won’t be as fast as the First-generation Mecha either. If a real battle breaks out, if the enemy is a little faster, you won’t be able to catch up at all, and it’ll be easy for the monsters to catch you...”

”It’s not that we are questioning your R&D ability; it’s just that we really can’t see where this second-generation mecha suit is stronger than the First-generation Mecha suit.”

Su Chen still smiled calmly, as if he had long expected them to ask this, and said confidently:

”I guessed you would ask this, but don’t be anxious. I’ll show you in a moment.”

Elder Qin and Elder Zhao couldn’t suppress their eagerness and couldn’t wait to see how exactly Su Chen would demonstrate the powerful combat capabilities of this Mecha Suit!

They were full of doubts and really couldn’t understand how this seemingly ordinary Mecha Suit could have stronger combat power than the First-generation Mecha.

Su Chen watched the two elders’ eager and curious expressions and said with a smile:

”Since we are testing combat capability, I know a place that’s perfect!”

”Eh?”

Upon hearing this, Elder Zhao and Elder Qin couldn’t help but look at each other, their faces full of surprise. They really couldn’t guess what Su Chen was up to, and both were wondering what kind of place Su Chen was talking about.

Soon, a Space Mecha landed slowly in the open space!

Its massive body radiated the cold, hard luster unique to metal, full of a sense of technology and power.

Su Chen waved at Elder Qin and Elder Zhao and said:

”Elder Qin, Elder Zhao, come with me.”

Although the two were full of confusion, out of trust in Su Chen, they still followed him onto the Space Mecha.

After entering the interior of the mecha, with a low roar, the Space Warp Engine started. The next second, the scene before their eyes instantly changed, and they appeared above a swarm of monsters.

Looking down, they saw that the once-prosperous city below was now nothing but ruins!

Above the ruins, dense swarms of monsters were gathered together. They were of various forms, baring fangs and brandishing claws, and among them were many giant beasts with bodies as large as mountains; every step they took made the earth tremble.

The scene was enough to make one’s scalp tingle just looking at it, as if they were in hell.

Elder Qin’s heart skipped a beat, his expression changed slightly, and he hurriedly asked:

”Little Chen, is this the United States?”
