Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 435 Don’t come over unless it’s absolutely necessaryIn the hearts of the public, this was equivalent to being specially recruited into the military by the state if one played games well; it was simply a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Parents who were usually worried about their children being addicted to games were so excited at this moment that they could almost jump for joy.

They decisively purchased nutrient pods for their children to use, full of anticipation that their own children would stand out in this system and become pillars of the nation.

However, things did not always develop as smoothly as imagined.

Some children who loved playing games entered the practical combat training system with joy, only to be beaten so badly inside that they had no power to fight back. They were even so discouraged that they began to re-examine themselves, turning instead to their studies and actually starting to love learning.

Of course, this was only the transformation of a very small number of children.

More people still joined in with full enthusiasm.

Today, this raging catastrophe had long ago sounded an alarm for the people of the Dragon Kingdom, making them deeply realize that the only thing that could truly protect them was a powerful Dragon Kingdom.

And those who specifically shouldered this responsibility of protection were the brave and fearless warriors of the Dragon Kingdom.

Therefore, many parents hoped their children could become warriors; they didn’t ask for them to make great achievements or go down in history, but only for them to have the ability to protect themselves and their families.

Thus, under such an atmosphere, more and more people flooded into the practical combat training system, and a great era of ”every citizen a soldier” thus began.

At this time, Su Chen was wholeheartedly devoted to researching the Plesiosaur Monster sample in the Laboratory.

Suddenly, his phone rang, breaking the silence of the Laboratory.

Su Chen picked up his phone and saw, to his surprise, that it was a call from his father.

”Son!” The voice of his father, sounding slightly excited, came from the other end of the phone:

”Have you heard? The state is strongly calling for everyone to join the practical combat training system, saying it’s to improve our ability to deal with monsters. If you perform well inside, you can even be specially recruited into the Mech Legion!”

”Your mother and I discussed it. You’re over there working as an interpreter for a Chief, but how can that compare to the future of joining the Mech Legion? I’ll buy you a machine; why don’t you give it a try?”

Su Chen was stunned by his father’s words.

He smiled bitterly to himself; if his father knew that this so-called practical combat training system was entirely developed by him, he wondered what kind of shocked expression it would cause.

Besides, when did he become an interpreter for a Chief? Who on earth started that rumor?

Su Chen helplessly declined his father’s offer and said, ”Dad, I have more important things to do right now, so let’s forget about joining the Mech Legion.”

After all, those mechas were all his own inventions, so he naturally wouldn’t waste time on this just to join the Mech Legion.

Of course, he didn’t intend to tell his parents about these things!

Just after Su Chen finished speaking, his younger sister Su Youwan’s crisp voice suddenly came through the phone: ”Big brother, just let Dad buy a nutrient pod. All my classmates have one, only our family doesn’t. I’m so envious!”

Su Chen: ”????”

He smiled helplessly and said, ”Alright, I’ll make a call and have someone send one over to you!”

”Eh?” Before Su Youwan could react, the phone call was suddenly hung up.

She listened to the busy signal coming from the phone, feeling a bit dazed.

She tilted her head and pondered for a moment, muttering to herself, ”What did big brother mean just now?”

”Have someone send one over?”

”Does it not cost money???”

Just as she was thinking this, not long after, the originally calm sky outside the window suddenly distorted. It was like a boulder being thrown into a calm lake, causing layers of strange ripples.

Regarding this situation, the surrounding people were already long used to it! Knowing that this was an action by the Dragon Kingdom’s military, they still couldn’t help but curiously poke their heads out to take a look.

Before long, a massive Space Mecha slowly emerged from the distorted space!

Its entire body radiated a cold metallic luster, like a mobile steel fortress, emitting a powerful sense of oppression. But this sense of oppression was only directed at enemies; the people of the Dragon Kingdom only felt a full sense of security!

At this moment, the Mecha hatch slowly opened, and three First-generation Mecha Warriors, like well-trained cheetahs, nimbly jumped out, each carrying a huge package as they flew towards them.

Seeing this, the onlookers all showed curious expressions and began to discuss it in a hubbub of voices.

”Eh, what’s going on? Why did three Mecha Warriors come?”

”Looking at them, they seem to be heading to the old Su family’s place.”

”The old Su family? Oh! I remember their son serves in the military; he was even on the Spring Festival Gala!”

”The old Su family’s son is really promising. I heard he joined the army and became a company commander.”

”Who did you hear that from? Why did I hear he’s a battalion commander?”

”Regardless of whether he’s a company commander or a battalion commander, our country can be this stable because the military has contributed, and maybe Little Chen has contributed too!”

At this time, The Su Family was looking at this sudden scene with some bewilderment. When the three Mecha Warriors landed steadily at their doorstep, they all revealed expressions of surprise.

The leading warrior asked politely, ”Excuse me, is this the home of Chief Su Chen?”

Father Su and Mother Su looked blank and were a bit at a loss. Su Youwan reacted quite quickly and hurriedly said, ”Yes, my brother is Su Chen.”

The leading warrior nodded and said, ”That’s correct! Um... may we come in?”

Mother Su looked at the large packages they were carrying and hurriedly greeted them warmly, ”Please come in, please come in!”

The three warriors didn’t just put down the packages and leave; instead, they very considerately opened them. The Su Family was immediately shocked to find that they were nutrient pods, and there were three of them in total.

Su Youwan instantly thought of what her brother Su Chen had said just now; her eyes widened, and her face was full of surprise. She couldn’t help but ask, ”Hello, may I ask, did my brother ask you to send these nutrient pods?”

The leading warrior smiled and nodded, saying, ”That’s right! We have already set up the nutrient pods, and you can use them normally from now on.”

After speaking, they turned and left in unison, leaving The Su Family looking at each other, staring blankly.

Mother Su said with some worry, ”Father of the child, these nutrient pods must be very expensive. Where did Little Chen get them, and he even had state personnel help us deliver them.”

”This child, is he taking advantage of the state again?”

Hearing this, Father Su also felt some doubt in his heart and hurriedly took out his phone to call Su Chen again. However, what surprised him was that the person who answered the phone was not his son Su Chen, but a voice that was both unfamiliar and somewhat familiar.

”Hello, are you Little Chen’s father? Little Chen is busy right now, so I’m answering the phone for him.”

Father Su was stunned for a moment and asked suspiciously, ”Excuse me... who are you?”

”It’s me! Qin Jianguo!”

As soon as these words came out, The Su Family immediately widened their eyes, their faces full of shock.

”Qin Jianguo...” This thunderous name, this familiar voice.

”Qin Jianguo!!!!!” Wasn’t that the national defense Top Leader who organized the counterattack against the monsters for the country?! It was he who stood up to fight the monsters and protect the safety of the Dragon Kingdom when countries across Blue Star were facing annihilation! His towering figure was deeply imprinted in everyone’s hearts!

And at this moment, he was on the other end of Father Su’s phone. Father Su inexplicably felt a bit nervous.

Just at this moment, another voice rang out from the receiver: ”Elder Qin, you’ve been coming here too frequently lately! You’re delaying my work!”

”In the future, don’t come over if there’s nothing important, okay?”

Elder Qin smiled bitterly and helplessly: ”Alright, my little ancestor!”

The Su Family, having heard the conversation between the two: ”??????”
