Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 432 Was the assassination successful?Wang Feng charged towards the monster without hesitation. When he was still some distance away from the nearest monster, he decisively leaped off his light sword and landed steadily on the ground.

Immediately after, relying on his proficient control of the mecha, he sent the light sword hurtling towards the monster to strike it down.

The monster was instantly drawn in, emitting a hair-raising, terrifying roar. This roar seemed to be a highly lethal attack, its volume unimaginably immense.

If an ordinary person were standing before it, their eardrums would likely be shattered by this roar, and their throats would be shaken until they bled.

However, Wang Feng, wearing the Second-Generation Individual Mecha, was completely unaffected by this terrifying roar.

The light sword struck like a streak of light. Seeing this, the monster suddenly spat out a blazing laser cannon blast from its mouth, the light as dazzling as the sun, slamming fiercely towards the light sword.

But Wang Feng’s control over the light sword was exquisite; the light sword nimbly changed direction in mid-air, easily dodging the blast.

Seeing this, Su Chen nodded calmly, a flash of approval in his eyes:

”His proficiency in controlling the external linkage device is indeed quite high. To be able to so skillfully dodge the monster’s laser cannon blast, it seems Wang Feng hasn’t slacked off in his daily training.”

”The external linkage device requires the Mecha Warrior to control it precisely with their mind. This tests concentration to the extreme; it requires a massive amount of training to reach the realm where the external linkage device and the Mecha Warrior are in perfect sync, becoming one.”

Elder Qin interjected from the side:

”I’ve heard of this Wang Feng. He is extremely hardworking during training and has very rich combat experience. He has even personally taken down an Octopus Monster, which is why I arranged for him to protect you.”

Su Chen nodded again, his gaze fixed tightly on the screen.

The light sword headed straight for the Plesiosaur Monster. Just at the critical moment when it was about to touch its body, the ship cannons on the Plesiosaur Monster’s back instantly began to charge.

In the blink of an eye, hundreds of laser cannon blasts bombarded Wang Feng like a torrential rain.

These laser cannons seemed to possess a will of their own; completely ignoring the incoming light sword, they aimed directly at Wang Feng.

They seemed to know that as long as they eliminated Wang Feng, the light sword would naturally lose its effect.

”Boom, boom, boom!!!!”

Hundreds of ship cannons poured down like a meteor shower!

Seeing this, Wang Feng felt his scalp tingle and couldn’t help but curse:

”Damn it, so many shells, are they trying to wipe me out?”

Wang Feng immediately pushed the Second-Generation Mecha’s speed to the limit. Like an agile cheetah, he desperately wove through the hail of gunfire, attempting to escape the dense bombardment zone.

At the same time, the light sword struck heavily against the Plesiosaur Monster’s scales.

In the past, this light sword had been incredibly sharp, able to easily slice through the hard scales of an Octopus Monster like cutting tofu, but now, facing the Plesiosaur Monster’s scales, it seemed somewhat inadequate.

Sparks flew where the light sword collided with the scales, but it was unable to break through this layer of sturdy defense.

As the shells were about to land like raindrops, Wang Feng felt his scalp tingle, and his heart sank.

It was one thing that the light sword couldn’t break through the armor, but the light in the Plesiosaur Monster’s mouth was growing even more intense; it was clearly continuing to charge!

Preparing to deliver a fatal blow to Wang Feng.

Wang Feng completely panicked, thinking in despair:

”This is really the end.”

Seeing this scene, Elder Qin also helplessly rubbed his forehead.

He didn’t think Wang Feng lacked ability; on the contrary, Wang Feng’s operation of the Second-Generation Mecha was very proficient, which left Elder Qin quite satisfied.

He really couldn’t bear to see Wang Feng ”sacrifice” himself in the drill like this and was just about to ask Su Chen to end this live-combat drill.

However, at this critical juncture, just as the ship cannons were about to land and the laser cannon in the Plesiosaur Monster’s mouth had finished charging, the situation suddenly changed.

The light sword suddenly changed direction, abandoning its original path of attacking the monster’s head, and instead thrust swiftly towards the monster’s charging maw.

Elder Qin was stunned, secretly pondering in his heart:

”What is Wang Feng trying to do?”

”Is he trying to behead the monster?”

”But didn’t we just see that the light sword couldn’t break through the armor?”

Su Chen raised an eyebrow slightly and said slowly:

”It’s not beheading, it’s...”

The light sword, at the moment it approached the monster’s neck, suddenly made a sharp turn and thrust towards the monster’s charging maw with lightning speed.

The Plesiosaur Monster was instantly terrified; it never expected Wang Feng to pull such a move.

It had been full of confidence in the scales on its neck and wasn’t worried about the light sword beheading it at all, but now that the light sword was aiming straight for its mouth, it panicked and hurriedly tried to close its mouth.

However, it was all too late.

The light sword, like a key, precisely inserted itself into the lock of the monster’s charge.

Instantly, the light sword triggered the Particle Cannon that had been charging for so long in the Plesiosaur Monster’s mouth.

”Boom!!!!”

An earth-shattering explosion erupted inside the Plesiosaur Monster’s mouth.

Accompanied by a miserable wail, the Plesiosaur Monster was knocked to the ground by the powerful blast, its mouth blown into a bloody, unrecognizable mess.

However, Wang Feng did not see this scene.

Because the ship cannons had already landed, hundreds of ship cannons had formed an extremely large bombardment zone.

Even with the speed of the Second-Generation Mecha, it was very difficult to escape from this area under such dense bombardment.

In the end, Wang Feng was still caught in the bombardment, and he clearly felt the mecha on his body being torn apart bit by bit by the impact of the ship cannons.

Immediately after, his vision went black, and he arrived in a pitch-black area where he couldn’t even see his own fingers.

Wang Feng was bewildered, muttering to himself:

”Where is this?”

”How did I end up here?”

”Is this the world after death?”

”But why do I still have consciousness!”

”Could it be...”

”Have I become a ghost???”

Wang Feng looked at the scene before him, still somewhat dazed, and muttered to himself:

”So there really are ghosts in the world...”

As he was pondering, suddenly there was a light before him. He blinked subconsciously, and when he opened his eyes again, he saw Su Chen and Elder Qin leaning over him, their faces filled with concern and smiles.

Wang Feng was stunned for a moment, subconsciously wanting to get up, only to realize he was still lying in the nutrient pod.

He looked bewildered and couldn’t help but exclaim:

”Eh???? What is going on?”

”I’m not dead???”

Su Chen looked at him, feigning seriousness, and teased:

”You really took me for a mad scientist, willing to disregard your life for the sake of some so-called experiment? You really are naive.”

After saying this, he pouted helplessly.

At this time, Elder Qin smiled and explained everything, and Wang Feng suddenly realized!

It turned out that the previously mentioned soul-binding was a lie deliberately fabricated to stimulate his potential.

After understanding the whole story, Wang Feng climbed out of the nutrient pod somewhat embarrassedly. With an awkward expression, he looked at Su Chen and apologized:

”I’m sorry, Chief Su, I failed to complete the task you assigned to kill the Plesiosaur Monster.”

A smile suddenly flashed across Su Chen’s previously serious face as he said:

”The Second-Generation Mecha was never a match for the Plesiosaur Monster to begin with!”

”Honestly speaking, I am very satisfied that you were able to achieve this level.”

Wang Feng looked confused and asked doubtfully:

”You’re satisfied with me at this level?”

”I clearly felt like I was being beaten without any ability to fight back.”

Elder Qin couldn’t help but laugh at this point and asked in return:

”Who said you were beaten without any ability to fight back?”

Wang Feng was even more astonished, but soon, he seemed to think of something, looked at Elder Qin, and asked tentatively:

”Elder Qin, did I actually succeed in assassinating the Plesiosaur Monster with the light sword at the end?”
