The Daily Life Of A Cyberpunk Magician

Chapter 457 - 255: The Upcoming Sky Tower
Chapter 457: Chapter 255: The Upcoming Sky TowerOn the living room coffee table, four Tablet Spirits either stood or sat, staring at Jiang Shu in unison, with serious expressions on their faces.

All four Tablet Spirits were on high alert—a rare occurrence.

The reason was simple.

The fourth family internal seminar had begun.

The theme of this seminar was extremely serious; even Xiao Yi was all business, without any playful or poor behavior from start to present.

Having dealt with Tang’s issues, Jiang Shu had pretty much taken care of his own matters. For a long time to come, it would be a period of development.

Magic: Sky Tower.

The plan could now officially commence.

At the start of the seminar, the policy of peaceful revolution was unanimously passed by Jiang Shu and the four Tablet Spirits. It was the first matter that needed to be confirmed, and also the least necessary to agree upon collectively.

A violent revolution would surely fail, a fact hammered out by Black Kler’s countless experiences in clearing stages.

A peaceful revolution could be stopped at any time, and the people of Lonely City would not be harmed by social changes, an approach in line with Jiang Shu’s principles.

In the end, for sister, for Devil Wind, for many more, he wanted to see if this plan could succeed.

After all, he could always start over, but of course, Jiang Shu didn’t want to. If something could be resolved in this life, it was best to resolve it in this life.

Following discussions he had on that rooftop with the fox, Jiang Shu was prepared to attempt the feat of hypnotizing the entire city using the collective subconscious, which required much preparation.

Just like the magic before, every performance required countless preparations. To achieve the effect of the Sky Tower magic, the time and energy required would undoubtedly be terrifying.

He wouldn’t be surprised if the time span reached several years or even decades.

The first step now was to implant the well-rounded and familiar history of Blue Star into the minds of the people of Lonely City, through a subtle mode of influence.

However, regardless of the direction, a large amount of funding was needed. With Jiang Shu’s current economic situation, it was certainly easy to provide for himself and his family, but supporting a cultural invasion...

He would be stretched very thin.

Hence, the Tablet Spirits were in conflict.

A: First, we need to get publishing sorted out. Both physical and electronic publishing must be established, with the history of Blue Star published as narrative non-fiction. This is the foundation! No matter what, the foundation must be solid!

B: Indeed, that makes sense.

C: Do you think the people of Lonely City read books? In this age filled with countless entertainments, the ways Lonely City’s inhabitants seek pleasure are extremely simple. How many would read these long-winded narrative non-fiction books? We definitely should start with games! Open-world games! Each combat zone for the seven continents and four oceans, each zone following historic events as timelines... and then there are countless derivative games based on history. The Three Kingdoms period alone could produce countless games!

B: Indeed, that’s a great idea.

A: Do we have that much money? Does making games not cost money?

D: That’s why I’m saying, make movies! Dynasties for TV dramas, major historical events for suspenseful TV series that change into blockbuster movies, and then promote a few talented and good-looking ones. Wouldn’t the funds flow back like crazy? Are you doubting the depth of our history?

B: Indeed, I agree.

As a result, Jiang Shu and the three Tablet Spirits all turned to look at this ”indeed” fellow with increasingly unpleasant expressions.

Everyone here is discussing serious matters, are you just skimming through?

What’s the meaning of this?

B: Sweating bullets.

B: Firstly, the foundation is very important; it’s the source of all derivative products. Whether it’s games or movies, they will inevitably undergo changes for various reasons, deviations from the original history, so there has to be such a foundation to ensure the right overall direction.

Jiang Shu and little A nodded together.

A: Indeed, the foundation is the most important.

B: But historical books are indeed not engaging, their spread is too slow, and the return on investment comes too slowly. By the time the plan unfolds further, it might be decades later.

Jiang Shu, A, C, and D nodded silently.

B: Games are the simplest; you can incorporate bloody violence and other adult content. This will surely be a way suitable for propagation.

The text on this side vanished, and new text appeared in its place.

B: Moreover, games spread more easily among young people, who will be the mainstay of society, a demographic we need to grasp first.

B: Their ideas are more progressive, their minds more susceptible to influence, and the speed of imprinting the collective subconscious will also be faster.

B: After completing the implantation of the collective subconscious in the youth demographic, there will be a noticeable change in the social atmosphere. If the Three Major Groups don’t interfere, the subconscious implantation of other groups will be much more efficient.

Jiang Shu and little C also nodded in unison; little B was very thorough in his analysis.

Little C: Indeed, let’s start with the games, capturing the youth demographic!

Little B shook his head again and continued typing: The speed of recouping investments for games can be fast or slow. Going for quick profits can lead to early collapse, while slow earnings will undoubtedly drag us down, given that our current source of funding mainly comes from Jiang Shu’s magic performances.

B: Money comes in too slowly, and we still have to pay taxes.

Then it added: Unless you want to open up a gacha system, like SSR Emperor ”Ying Zheng,” SSR General ”Wei Qing,” SSR Strategist ”Zhuge Liang,” and so on.

B: Or Da Qiao, Xiao Qiao, Zhen Mi, Yang Guifei, Li Shishi, Cleopatra...
