Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 39: Chapter 39: First Encounter with the Beast-eared Lady

Thud, thud, thud—

After striking down Viscount Eagle Wing, David advanced unhurriedly.

But for Viscount Eagle Wing, every step felt like the death knell, his figure retreating continuously.

In the brief clash, he knew he was absolutely no match for the Duke Frost Wolf before him.

”Viscount!”

At this moment, the Knights of the Eagle Wing Clan had already reacted.

Four official knights of the Eagle Wing Clan charged swiftly, launching an attack on David.

Clang, clang, clang, clang—

The sound of clashing metal rang out four times, as David parried each of their swords individually.

Immediately after, the four figures simultaneously retreated, each showing a stunned expression.

No one anticipated that Duke Frost Wolf before them would be this formidable, able to face four official knights at once and still repel them!

”All together, kill him!” screeched Viscount Eagle Wing.

But as soon as the words left his mouth, suddenly a flash of sword light sealed his expression in stone.

”Is this... Fighting Qi?”

Viscount Eagle Wing’s eyes filled with disbelief.

How could he have imagined that this Duke Frost Wolf was already an Earth Knight!

An eighteen-year-old Earth Knight?

Was all this not an illusion of his own making?

Clearly, no one would answer his questions; only endless regret awaited him, and then he descended into darkness.

The other four official knights also had their eyes wide open.

The sudden emergence of Fighting Qi instantly made them realize that this person before them was not someone they could contend with!

Escape!

Their minds were filled with this thought.

But just as their figures began to move, a terrifying chill enveloped their bodies.

David took four steps, with each step killing one person; the four official knights were instantly killed with a mere lift of his hand.

The knight attendants of the Eagle Wing Knight Order, witnessing this scene, instantly lost all will to fight.

Earth Knight!

Duke Frost Wolf turned out to be an Earth Knight!

An Earth Knight represents top-tier power on this continent, something that Eagle Wing Castle simply cannot withstand.

It’s over.

The Eagle Wing Clan is finished.

”Gray Wolf King, have all the gray wolves halt.” David ordered.

Through the Frost Wolf Contract, the Gray Wolf King could understand his master’s command, and after a wolf howl, the gray wolves ceased their battle.

Although David had already slain Viscount Eagle Wing along with five official knights on the battlefield, in reality, not much time had passed.

The Eagle Wing Knight Order and the Gray Wolf Pack had just confronted each other and hadn’t had the chance to erupt into a full-fledged battle before it was already over.

Seeing the Gray Wolf Pack retreating, the knight attendants of the Eagle Wing Knight Order all breathed a sigh of relief, surrendering one after another.

With Viscount Eagle Wing dead, facing an Earth Knight, they had no thoughts of resistance whatsoever.

Moreover, among these knight attendants, many had originally been governed by the Frost Wolf Clan, and they surrendered without any psychological burden.

Shortly after, ten Frost Wolf Knight’s Attendants and two officials from Frost Wolf Ridge also arrived.

Looking at the dead Viscount Eagle Wing and those knights, their eyes brightened, faces lit with excitement.

Although they all believed that Lord could reclaim Eagle Wing Castle, none of them expected the process to be so simple, even taking over the Eagle Wing Knight Order!

”Find all the people from the Eagle Wing Clan.” David commanded calmly.

The ten Frost Wolf Knight’s Attendants received their orders and each led ten gray wolves into Eagle Wing Castle to apprehend people.

As for the Eagle Wing Clan members within the Eagle Wing Knight Order, they had already been pushed out by some knight attendants.

”Kill them all, you do it.”

David glanced at the knight attendants of the Eagle Wing Knight Order, issuing the cold order.

For the Bloodline Clans, the power of bloodline is the key to maintaining rule.

The best way to completely destroy a Bloodline Clan is to annihilate all the bloodline descendants!

Though cruel, David bore no psychological burden.

If Viscount Eagle Wing were to conquer Frost Wolf Ridge, he would also choose to wipe out all the bloodline descendants of the Frost Wolf Clan.

The knight attendants of the Eagle Wing Knight Order were initially stunned.

Until one knight attendant stepped forward, killing a person with a simple slash, the others followed suit.

Seeing the knight attendants of the Eagle Wing Knight Order taking action, David nodded, then instructed a Frost Wolf Knight’s Attendant to keep watch over these knight attendants, while he made his way towards the castle.

At this moment, within the castle, combat still continued.

But following the total annihilation of the official knights of the Eagle Wing Clan, there was no more hindrance for the advance of the Gray Wolf Pack.

After David arrived at the castle, the battle was completely one-sided, and he soon had complete control over the castle.

On this day, Eagle Wing Castle was destined to be awash with blood.

Anyone with ties to the Eagle Wing Clan, even distant relatives, was slaughtered without exception by David.

Originally, Eagle Wing Castle was a territory of the Frost Wolf Clan.

Considering Viscount Eagle Wing’s excessive brutality, it should not be too difficult for Frost Wolf Ridge to reclaim Eagle Wing Castle.

Having left all matters to those knight attendants and territory officials, David entered the castle.

This time coming to Eagle Wing Castle, aside from taking advantage of the closed borders of Frosty Winter to eliminate the Eagle Wing Clan, making an example for others, he was also here for the wealth of the Eagle Wing Clan.

By now, the treasury of the castle had been opened, and the officials were tabulating it, planning to transport it back to Frost Wolf Ridge once the snow melted.

David found himself in Viscount Eagle Wing’s study.

His eyes scanned the room, landing on numerous books, causing him to smile gently.

Books are exceptionally precious in this world; with so many books, they should keep Amy occupied for quite a while.

Besides these, there were some antiques and scrolls; unable to appreciate them, he planned to take them all.

Suddenly, David paused before a bookshelf, and with focused attention, weak spiritual power projected forth.

Then he discovered that the space behind the bookshelf was hollow.

He searched for a switch; failing to find one, he simply removed all the books and demolished the bookshelf in one powerful punch.

Behind the bookshelf, indeed, a passage appeared.

Seeing this, David immediately summoned the Frost Wolf Ice Armor to envelop his body and entered the passage.

Following the passage downward, he arrived at a secret chamber.

Then, his gaze fell upon the corner of the wall, where a battered fox girl crouched.

”Is this... a member of the Beast Race?”

The thought could not help but flash in his mind.

Although extraordinary powers exist in this world, along with various demons.

But there doesn’t seem to be such a peculiar race as the Beast Race, only some humanoid demons.

Moreover, why was this fox girl here?

His gaze then swept over the fox girl’s battered body.

He had long heard that due to an accident, Viscount Eagle Wing had lost capability in that aspect, making his psyche exceedingly twisted.

David cursed inwardly, approaching to check the fox girl’s situation.

Seeing someone approach, the fox girl trembled even more violently, her tawny tail wrapped around her body as she curled into a ball.
