Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Eagle Wing Castle and the Fox Girl

The castle’s rear mountain.

David couldn’t wait to test his new ability.

Frost Breath!

As he urged the ice power contained in the Frost Giant Wolf Bloodline, a mighty energy instantly gathered in his mouth.

Hiss, hiss, hiss—

Puffs of cold air continuously seeped out of his mouth.

When he opened his mouth, a blast of cold air swept out like a blizzard.

Everything in the path of the cold air was instantly frozen, extending a hundred meters into the distance!

Howl—

The snow wolf was startled by the scene, and its body couldn’t help but shrink back.

It instinctively felt the terrifying chill; if it were attacked by the cold air, it would certainly be frozen instantly!

Whew—

David exhaled, amazed at the scene before him.

Originally, through his control of the ice power, he could already master the ice power.

But it was nothing compared to Frost Breath.

If he had mastered the Frost Breath ability back then, he wouldn’t have needed to use himself as bait and sneak attack with ice power.

With just one Frost Breath, striking the Ice Wolf Knight head-on, he would surely be frozen; the effect wouldn’t have been any less effective than a sneak attack!

”This should rival true witchcraft.” David judged inwardly.

Even Amy, born an Ice and Snow Mage, wasn’t stronger in ice control than he was now.

Moreover, he could feel that the power of Frost Breath would grow stronger as the Frost Giant Wolf Bloodline grew stronger, a kind of progressive talent ability.

However, the consumption of executing Frost Breath was indeed considerable.

With the current ice energy contained in the Frost Giant Wolf Bloodline, he could only support two uses of Frost Breath.

David silently summarized the Frost Breath ability and then moved his body around a bit.

Aside from awakening a racial talent, the transformation brought by the bloodline enhancement had significantly improved his body.

This increment gave a new boost to his Knight’s Power, which had been slowly progressing due to the lack of Tier Four Frost Wolf Potion.

Going forward, relying on the Tier Five Frost Giant Wolf Bloodline, even without the Tier Four Frost Wolf Potion, he should barely be able to continue cultivation.

Though, seeing the fifty thousand Experience Points required for the Frost Giant Wolf Bloodline to break through Tier Six, he fell silent again, indicating that he still needed to continue improving his cultivation progress with Liya.

...

Three days later.

David left the castle.

This time, accompanying him were ten Knight’s Attendants and two territorial officials.

At the castle gate, Liya, Amy, and Reina watched the lord depart and closed their eyes in prayer.

”Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon.”

David waved his hand and quickly disappeared from their sight.

His absence this time would waste a lot of cultivation time, so he naturally also hoped to hurry back quickly.

Actually, he could have brought Liya or Reina along.

But after some thought, he decided against it; this battle still contained some risks, and he didn’t want his women to follow him into danger.

The snow wolf was fast, taking David directly into the forest where the gray wolf pack had been stationed.

During this period, the gray wolves were being fed by Frost Wolf Ridge, making these well-fed gray wolves very docile.

When David brought these gray wolves to the ten Knight’s Attendants and the two territorial officials, they sighed in relief.

Due to traveling on snow to other territories this time, horses were not feasible, so they could only ride the gray wolves to their destination.

David didn’t ride the snow wolf this time but rode the Gray Wolf King.

The ten Knight’s Attendants and two territorial officials each mounted a gray wolf and began heading towards Eagle Wing Castle.

...

Eagle Wing Castle was situated on a small plain to the east of Frost Wolf Ridge.

The massive and ancient castle rose high, with many traces of battles evident on it.

Originally, Eagle Wing Castle served as the frontline bulwark of Frost Wolf Ridge, defending against numerous invasions.

The former Eagle Wing Clan was Frost Wolf Clan’s most reliable vassal clan.

However, after the old Viscount Eagle Wing went to war with the old Duke and perished, the newly appointed Viscount Eagle Wing chose to declare independence.

At this moment, in the conference hall of Eagle Wing Castle, Viscount Eagle Wing was laying out the plan to capture Frost Wolf Ridge.

Just a while ago, they managed to drive those gray wolves into the territory of Frost Wolf Ridge.

Although they were unaware of Frost Wolf Ridge’s current situation, even protected by Tier Three Knights, casualties were inevitable when facing over a hundred gray wolves.

Now, their task was to gather the Knight Order, and once the snow melted, they could attack Frost Wolf Ridge and destroy the family that once swore loyalty to Eagle Wing Castle.

After this battle, Eagle Wing Castle would be reborn, becoming the new master of Frost Wolf Forest.

After the meeting, Viscount Eagle Wing returned to the castle and entered the castle dungeon.

Known as the Hawk Taming Clan, the Eagle Wing family was famed for turning prisoners in the dungeon into obedient servants, something Viscount Eagle Wing enjoyed doing the most.

Upon entering the dungeon, he headed straight for the chamber at the lowest level.

The ordinary slaves no longer satisfied him, and he had acquired a new target for taming just a few days ago.

When the oil lamp in the chamber was lit, a girl curled up in the corner came into view.

She had brownish-yellow hair, fox ears on her head. The girl’s body trembled at the sight of Viscount Eagle Wing, attempting to flee but instead tripping over the chain on her right foot, revealing a brownish-yellow fox tail behind her.

Viscount Eagle Wing picked up a whip hanging on the wall and lashed at the girl with fox ears and a tail, leaving an instant trail of blood.

The fox girl’s body recoiled, curling up into a ball, enduring the relentless lashes from the whip.

”What? Still not willing to obey?”

Viscount Eagle Wing let out a cold snort as he wielded the whip, a cruel smile on his face.

He greatly relished the feeling of tempering his hawks.

Transforming a witch with beastification ability into a hawk offered him no greater sense of achievement.

But just as he reached for the whip again, urgent horn blasts suddenly sounded, heralding an enemy invasion of Eagle Wing Castle.

Viscount Eagle Wing’s movement paused, an annoyed expression on his face, yet he quickly donned his cloak and hurried out of the chamber, intending to see what was happening.

”Enemy attack, we’re under attack!”

Inside the castle, the knights had already begun assembling.

”What enemy could be invading in this Frosty Winter?” Viscount Eagle Wing wondered.

Howl, howl, howl—

But at that moment, a chorus of wolf howls suddenly spread throughout the castle.

Everyone’s expression changed.

A wolf pack, there was a wolf pack!

How could wolves appear in Eagle Wing Castle?

But there was no time to ponder this question now, as Viscount Eagle Wing and the Knight Commander quickly led the Knight Order to the outside of the castle to confront the wolves encroaching within.
