Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Frost Wolf Contract

Awoo—

The Snow Wolf suddenly widened its eyes, full of fear.

It realized that no matter how it struggled, it couldn’t shake off the Frost Giant Wolf’s shadow in its consciousness, making its mind completely subject to the other’s control.

Finally, the Snow Wolf whimpered softly and slowly bowed its head.

Faced with the Frost Giant Wolf, it chose to submit, abandoning resistance.

”Is this... mind control?” David was stunned for a moment.

He only wanted to use the Frost Wolf Spirit to attack the Snow Wolf’s mind, further weakening its consciousness in preparation for taming it.

Originally, he was ready to wear down the Snow Wolf in a prolonged battle, but it seemed that the Frost Wolf Spirit had very strong suppressive power over the Lower-Rank Wolf Race!

He could feel the Frost Wolf Spirit left a Spiritual Mark in the Snow Wolf’s spiritual world; with just a thought, he could suppress the Snow Wolf’s consciousness!

He even had a sense that if the Frost Wolf Spirit grew stronger, it could possess the Snow Wolf entirely, thereby completely controlling the Snow Wolf’s actions!

This feeling was somewhat similar to mind control spells; he heard that Wizards could tame Magic Pets through Spirit Contracts, and his situation seemed quite similar!

”This ability can be called the Frost Wolf Contract.” David thought quietly.

This ability wasn’t recorded in the Snow Demon Breathing Technique; he felt it must be a mutation from the Frost Wolf Snow Demon Spirit, an ability effective against the Wolf Race!

For him, this magic-like ability was indeed an unexpected gain.

Awoo—

The Snow Wolf was now completely submissive.

When David reached out to stroke its head, it didn’t show any dissatisfaction, simply laying down quietly, wagging its tail to show submission.

”Young Master David, have you subdued the Snow Wolf?”

The Gray Wolf Knight watched from the side, wide-eyed and full of awe.

This Snow Wolf had just shown very strong aggressiveness, yet it submitted in an instant, making him marvel at Lord Duke’s power.

”Yes, it’s subdued now,” David confirmed.

The Snow Wolf now resembled his Magic Pet, more reliable than the Ice Wolf Clan’s taming method, almost eliminating the possibility of betrayal.

Then, under the respectful gazes of other Knight’s Attendants, David led the Snow Wolf out of the prison, mounted it.

”Let’s go,” David ordered.

Awoo—

The Snow Wolf let out a roar and sprinted quickly.

This Tier Three Extraordinary Demon moved with incredible speed, perfect for snow-covered terrain, serving as a flawless steed.

Finally, David rode the Snow Wolf back to the castle, nearly startling the patrolling Roman Knight.

Seeing that it was Duke Frost Wolf, the Roman Knight relaxed, then looked with some astonishment at the subdued Snow Wolf.

The Ice Wolf Clan’s Wolf Taming Skill was renowned in the Jingge Kingdom, with the key being to tame from a young age; once tamed, betrayal was unlikely.

But now, Duke Frost Wolf had successfully tamed this Snow Wolf, belonging to Knight Hobbs, deeply surprising the Roman Knight.

Could it be that the Frost Wolf Clan also possessed some Wolf Taming Skill, and its effectiveness far exceeded that of the Ice Wolf Clan’s?

”Roman Knight, how is your recovery?” David smiled.

He appreciated the Snow Eagle Knight who had risked his life to save Princess Jingge, and would do his best to accommodate any requests.

”Thank you, Lord Duke, for your concern, I’m fine now.”

The Roman Knight replied reverently.

He was a retainer of the Crystal Song Clan; although Duke Frost Wolf hadn’t married the Princess yet, he treated him as the Jingge Clan’s future son-in-law.

Moreover, Duke Frost Wolf’s own Earth Knight strength commanded respect, as it was fitting of a strong individual’s reverence.

”Then the castle’s security is in your hands,” David smiled and nodded.

He then rode the Snow Wolf back to the castle, and settled it in a grove behind the estate, instructing the steward to provide it with good meat daily.

...

Castle rear garden.

Amy was quietly reading, as usual.

Fire Dance and Shuili were busy arranging tea and snacks.

Liya was practicing the Frost Wolf Breathing Technique, dancing like a butterfly in the snow, each movement carrying a unique beauty.

Reina was attending this kind of woman’s tea gathering for the first time.

But she knew that having chosen to accept Lord Duke, she must accept everything about him, including the two sisters who served him together.

Her gaze first turned to Liya, who was practicing the Frost Wolf Breathing Technique.

During the battle, she learned Liya had also awakened the Frost Wolf Bloodline and become an Official Knight, surprising her with its difficulty.

Especially after hearing from castle maids that Liya was a commoner before meeting Duke Frost Wolf, marked by her gray hair, indicating potential Frost Wolf Bloodline, and was sent to the castle hoping to bear a Frost Wolf Bloodline heir.

In those circumstances, from a commoner awakening the Frost Wolf Bloodline, to surpassing Knight’s Squire Level and becoming an Official Knight through the Frost Wolf Bloodline, Liya’s talent seemed even greater than that of the Princess Jingge!

Upon seeing Liya surprisingly aided by the Frost Wolf Potion in her cultivation, Reina’s eyes sparkled, recalling Lord Duke’s previous promises.

Thus, Duke Frost Wolf’s pledge to help her find materials for the Snow Demon Potion and assist her with Snow Demon Breathing Technique cultivation was genuine.

How amusing that she hadn’t believed it at the time, internally mocking Duke Frost Wolf for doing anything to win her over.

Now, she no longer harbored any doubt about Lord Duke, which made her eyes reveal a hopeful glow, trusting he would surely help her find the Snow Demon Potion materials and absolutely make her stronger!

Withdrawing her gaze, she looked at Amy quietly reading, hard to imagine she was a Witch with Ice Power, and Duke Frost Wolf was willing to marry a Witch, protect her despite the Church’s threats.

Now she suddenly understood why someone as outstanding as Liya and Amy would willingly stay beside Duke Frost Wolf, even without significant titles, wanting to bear his children.

And perhaps this was why Duke Frost Wolf was reluctant to ally with her in marriage.

”So, it’s not as I thought?”

Thinking of Duke Frost Wolf’s kindness, Reina showed relieved expressions on her face.

The long-standing emotional knot was finally untied; she took a deep breath, and suddenly whispered softly, ”You win.”
