Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Fire Dance’s Transformation

It was night, inside the castle.

Seeing the Lord return, Liya hurriedly came up to greet him.

”What, did you miss me after just one day?”

Seeing his wife, David finally relaxed completely and teased.

”Yes.”

What surprised him was that Liya actually responded so frankly.

Seeing that the Lord was in the mood to joke, Liya knew everything was fine and relaxed.

Before she could say anything else, she suddenly felt her body lifted off the ground.

Liya exclaimed, they were still on the first floor of the castle with so many watching!

David didn’t care and directly carried her up to the third floor, planning to double his cultivation to make up for the time wasted today.

Although the refugee situation was temporarily resolved this time, and he successfully eliminated the Blood-colored Mercenary Corps, the threat still wasn’t lifted and might even prompt the Ice Bear Clan to hasten their actions.

This time it was a Tier Three Knight who came; next time, it might be a Tier Four Earth Knight.

He must elevate his strength to the Tier Four Earth Knight level before Frosty Winter ends, which obviously wasn’t going to be easy.

He could only push through and work hard!

Inside the attic, Amy was reading a book.

Seeing the Lord return, she too breathed a heavy sigh of relief.

David placed Liya on the bed and then pulled Amy over.

[You’ve completed one cultivation session, Frost Giant Wolf Bloodline +63]

[Frost Giant Wolf Bloodline: Tier Four (3658/10000)]

[You’ve completed one cultivation session, gained Ice Element Talent +29]

[Ice Element Talent: Middle (623/10000)]

”Young Master David.” Liya appeared rather pitiful.

Seeing this, David smiled and patted Liya’s head, hugging the two of them on either side, smiling as he comforted them.

...

The next day, David woke up early as usual.

He opened the door, and the sisters Fire Dance and Shuili were waiting outside.

”Shuili, you help me dress today.” David said.

Hearing this, Fire Dance was visibly startled, a struggle evident deep in her eyes.

Although Young Master David indeed was a good master and treated them kindly, his demands in that area were undeniably strong.

She had a premonition that she and her sister would not escape one day.

Before that day came, she wanted to protect her sister as best as she could; if she satisfied the Lord, perhaps her sister would be safe.

”Young Master David, let me do it instead.”

Fire Dance knew she couldn’t defy her master’s orders, but her subconscious urge to protect her sister triumphed over reason, her tone somewhat unnatural.

Originally, she thought Young Master David would be angry, but instead, she heard his gentle and grateful voice, ”Alright, then I’ll trouble you.”

The two of them entered the dressing room one after the other.

”Are you worried about your sister?” David suddenly asked.

Fire Dance was visibly flustered.

Then she heard the Lord say, ”I think that’s fine.”

David approached Fire Dance, earnestly saying, ”I said you can live like ordinary people, and I hope you can.”

At that moment, Fire Dance was truly stunned.

She could tell that Young Master David wasn’t joking.

But.

What does an ordinary life look like?

Her memories were somewhat faded, and it felt distant.

”Smile more, I bet you look beautiful when you smile.”

David patted Fire Dance’s head, quickly getting dressed himself.

Once Fire Dance realized, slightly flustered, David carelessly waved his hand, saying, ”You can ask Amy to teach you to read when you have time, and read more books.”

After giving Fire Dance some guidance, David had Shuili serve breakfast and then went to the back garden to continue his training with the Knight’s Breathing Technique.

Now his Frost Wolf Bloodline has reached Tier Four, and his Ice Element Talent is at a middle level. With the combination of the two, the Ice Power within the Frost Giant Wolf Bloodline is continuously being awakened, making the Frost Giant Wolf Bloodline constantly draw closer to the ancestor!

Therefore, even though he’s currently only a Tier Three Knight, he’s already condensed Frost Fighting Qi and can start cultivating the fourth stage of the Frost Wolf Breathing Technique ahead of time!

Huff huff huff—

David kept breathing, exhaling chilly air with each breath.

The surrounding air began to freeze under those puffs of chilly air!

After half a while, David finished training the Frost Wolf Breathing Technique.

Just a short session yielded results even better than taking the Frost Wolf Potion, obviously meaning the current potion level is getting outdated.

”In the future, I need to gather new materials for the Frost Wolf Potion.” David pondered; he knew the current Frost Wolf Potion came from previous reserves and making new ones would require considerable expense, especially with Frost Wolf Ridge currently in a trade embargo, needing re-opened trade routes.

Not easy under the watchful eyes of the Ice Bear Clan.

But he wouldn’t give up to become stronger.

Apart from fertilizers, his memory might rake up something useful.

He planned to recall what knowledge he had learned to see what could be put to use.

”Moreover, there are the wizard’s cultivation methods, according to the family’s ancient records, a wizard should have a special meditation method for cultivation.”

David remembered the wizard-related information; becoming a Tier Seven Mage would surpass the strength of a Sky Knight, which was his true pursuit!

At lunchtime.

David dined with Liya and Amy, enjoying delicious food.

After lunch was nap time, but it remained a time for cultivation.

In the afternoon.

Amy, as usual, was reading.

But this time, Fire Dance surprisingly took the initiative to ask about reading.

For Fire Dance, who had been like a marionette, this was truly astonishing, representing that she indeed was changing.

Amy was delighted with Fire Dance’s inquiry.

In the whole castle, besides the Lord, even Sister Liya barely recognized a few words; finally, someone else who loved reading appeared.
