Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 941: Chapter 935 Cheng Persuades Fang Xiu to Spend New Year in Qin Family Village_1

“Since you’ve agreed, let’s stop discussing it. It’s settled. By staying by my side, I can keep a close eye on you. Don’t you agree?” Qin Xue asked Fang Xiu.

“But is it really okay to do this?” Fang Xiu always felt as if things shouldn’t be this way. However, when Qin Xue said it, it seemed entirely natural.

“What’s wrong with it? It’s always good to meet more people, right? Besides, you can’t possibly deprive Taotao of extended family, can you? Furthermore, we share the same mark, which you are well aware of. Even this fact alone is proof of our relationship. Who can deny that?” Qin Xiu was confident about this. Otherwise, how could such coincidences occur in the world?

“You’ve said it all – the good and the bad. What else can I say? Fine, let’s do it. Just make sure we don’t run into Jing Xin, alright?” Fang Xiu did not want to have anything to do with him now, no matter how the children felt. All she knew was that she didn’t want to see him.

“Don’t worry, he’s in S Province, while my hometown is in H Province. Those are two entirely different places. Besides, if we do run into him, it must mean your fate is intertwined, and it can’t be avoided,” Qin Xue said, having come to terms with some things after so much time had passed.

Jing Xin was really wronged in this matter. Regardless of everything else, the Jings are his family, who had raised him. Even if he wished not to, he couldn’t completely cut ties with them. Additionally, he could never have expected his tenderly nurtured sister to commit such a hateful act to sabotage his marriage. In all this, he and the Jings were the most to blame. Yet, his overly cautious nature and indecisiveness led to the current situation.

...
Qin Xue believed that he had learned his lesson. He must surely regret it. Some things are best punished briefly, not forever. There had been feelings between them after all. Otherwise, they wouldn’t find it so hard to let go of each other.

“I understand what you’re saying, but I feel as if there’s a thorn stuck in my heart. It’s unbearable, yet I can’t get it out. I don’t know how to describe it,” Fang Xiu tried hard to express her feelings to Qin Xue, but was struggling to articulate many things. She endlessly scribbled on a piece of paper.

“Fang Xiu, I understand what you mean, but you can’t blame everything on Jing Xin. He was also driven to a corner during this incident. As you said, he did what he did due to the effects of a drug. He may not even realize how nauseating it feels,” Qin Xue contemplated. She wasn’t sure how others might react, but she would certainly feel sick. Who would think that a person she cared for deeply had been intruding on her privacy all along? Just thinking about it was terrifying.

“Enough, what’s the use of saying all this now? Let’s discuss it when we actually meet him,” Fang Xiu didn’t want to keep arguing with Qin Xue over this matter. Regardless of what they argued here, it wouldn’t change anything.

“Alright, let’s do as you say. Let’s have our meal quickly, pack our bags, and catch the evening train home. We’ll arrive in H Province by tomorrow evening,” Qin Xue thought, filled with excitement. After all, it was her first time returning home in both her lives, plus it was for the New Year. Somehow, it felt wonderful.

“Ok.” After writing this word, Fang Xiu served a bowl of rice to Qin Xue, then Chu Molin, before finally serving herself.
