Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 902: Chapter 896: Letter from Fang Xiu_1

When Qin Xue saw that Nangong Beiying really couldn’t go home with her, she didn’t insist. Instead, they agreed upon a time and she went home, only to run into the postman delivering mail at the doorstep.

“Excuse me, do you have any mail for our house?” Qin Xue asked the postman, who had parked his bicycle and was ready to knock on her door.

“Uh, there is a letter for Qin Xue, are you Qin Xue?” The postman, hearing someone speaking to him, turned around to look at Qin Xue and asked.

“Yes, I am Qin Xue. Give it to me.” Qin Xue was surprised to find out that there was indeed a letter for her, but she wondered who could have sent it.

“Alright, please sign here.” The postman handed Qin Xue a notebook and a pen.

“OK, here you go.” Qin Xue signed her name and took her letter, only to discover that it was from Fang Xiu in S Province. She suddenly remembered that she hadn’t written to them since she’d arrived in the Imperial Capital a while ago, except for telling Xiao Yu about her safe arrival. The return address must have been obtained by Fang Xiu from Xiao Yu, but she wondered what could the letter possibly contain.

...
Curiosity took over Qin Xue and she didn’t head inside right away. Instead, she opened the letter to read it right then and there. As she read through the content, her face fell. Something must have happened to Fang Xiu, otherwise she wouldn’t mention coming to visit her for a while.

She recalled when they had spoken last, Fang Xiu had not expressed any intentions of coming over. But now, within just a month or two of them being there, Fang Xiu had written to tell her that she was coming. There must be a reason for this.

Qin Xue decided to write her back immediately, asking her what had happened. After all, if something were to happen to Fang Xiu and her child while she was pregnant, she wouldn’t know what to do. What was Jing Xin thinking? Does he not realize that if pregnant women aren’t careful, they can become depressed? She had just managed to sort things out with An Hao, and now Fang Xiu was added to the mix. This was enough to make her cry.

But what Qin Xue didn’t know was that Fang Xiu, carrying her son Jingtao, was already on a train to her place.

As Fang Xiu held her son and watched the scenery flashing by outside the train window, her heart ached. How could Jing Xin treat her this way? That was his sister, wasn’t it? Even if there wasn’t a blood relation, there was a nominal relation, right?

The pain was unbearable every time she thought about that scene. She only went out to buy some groceries, and they ended up in bed.

The day after Jing Yuan’s birthday, she woke up naked in Jing Peng’s arms. The discomfort between her thighs told her what happened the previous night. She thought it was Jing Xin, her eldest brother, with whom she had slept, and that’s why she had given herself up.

The excitement turned into shock when Jing Yuan woke up the next day to find out it was her second brother, not the eldest as she had thought.

“Yuanyuan, you’re awake.” Jing Peng asked, smiling at the woman still lying in his arms.

“Second brother, we…” Jing Yuan began, her voice choked with tears that flowed down her cheeks onto Jing Peng’s arm.

“Yuanyuan, don’t cry. I’ll take good care of you.” Jing Peng was taken aback. He expected tears, but he thought she would make a scene. However, she was just silently weeping, which left him feeling lost.

Jing Peng knew how to comfort her if she had created a scene, but her silent tears left him without a strategy. This spoke to Jing Yuan’s wisdom. She knew that it was pointless to make a scene now that the incident had occurred. Even though she was drunk last night, she clearly remembered initiating it and Jing Peng had merely accepted her advances under duress.
