Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 919: Chapter 913: Falling ill_1

“Okay.” Qin Xue did not object, she walked directly in front of him and sat on his lap, then picked up her medical book and started reading. She had been so busy that she hadn’t had a chance to read properly recently.

“Lean on me, and you should consider putting on more clothes.” Chu Molin had her lean on him, picked up a jacket from nearby, covered her with it, and then let her read properly. Chu Molin began to read the book in her hands.

“Why don’t you read your own book? Do you understand this one?” Qin Xue noticed where his eyes were focusing, she asked without looking up from her book.

“I understand some of it. I just can’t follow the more complex parts.” Chu Molin thought if he only read it and nobody got treated based on it, it didn’t matter whether he understood it or not. Of course, it would be better if he could understand.

“How about this, I teach you, and you learn along with me?” Qin Xue proposed after listening to his words. Regardless of how much he learned, being able to acquire some theoretical knowledge was good, wasn’t it?

“Okay, as long as you’re teaching, I’m learning.” Chu Molin didn’t mention anything about his current studies, thinking that if he could learn something, that’s a plus. More skills would never be a burden on anyone.

...
“Alright, let’s start from the first volume. Once you’ve learned this knowledge, I’ll teach you practical operations.” Qin Xue’s spirits lifted. She found that Chu Molin learned things faster than she did. She wouldn’t have to worry so much about his safety if he was able to learn something useful.

“Okay, fine.” Chu Molin nodded, started learning with Qin Xue. He studied very conscientiously. He found that the claimed dullness of studying medicine didn’t seem to exist at all for him, perhaps because the one teaching him was Qin Xue.

After Chu Molin read and memorized a section of the book, he found that the person in his arms had been motionless for quite some time. He looked down and smiled, she had fallen asleep. She was supposed to be teaching him, but she was the one who fell asleep first.

Chu Molin closed the book, picked her up in a princess carry and gently put her on the bed. After tucking her in with a blanket, he took off his clothes and got into bed to sleep.

“Hmm, it’s so cold.” Qin Xue felt unbearably cold in her sleep, her body instinctively moved towards the source of heat. However, as soon as her body touched Chu Molin, it startled him awake. She was burning hot.

Chu Molin turned her body to face him, then reached out a hand to feel her temperature. Damn, she was running a fever. She must have caught a chill last night.

Chu Molin tucked her in before getting up to get her antipyretic. Like in the past in S Province, Qin Xue kept various kinds of pills in a drawer for emergencies.

After finding the antipyretic, Chu Molin placed it on the table, went to the kitchen to get a cup of hot water, and returned to the room. He cooled the water before waking her up to take the medicine.

“Xue’er, wake up. Take your medicine and then go back to sleep.” Chu Molin called to Qin Xue, but she only felt cold, her body felt weak and limp, she didn’t want to move at all.

“Stop bothering me, I want to sleep.” Qin Xue felt uncomfortable, Chu Molin kept talking. She said irritably, only feeling annoyed.

“Be a good girl, Xue’er. Take the antipyretic and then go back to sleep. I’ll hold you and keep you warm, okay?” Chu Molin coaxed his wife, speaking in a gentle voice.

“Hmm, okay.” Qin Xue responded in a daze, but she wouldn’t open her mouth to take the medicine and fell asleep again with her eyes closed.

Chu Molin pulled over a stool, placed the water on it, helped her sit up and lean against him, then he put the medicine in Qin Xue’s mouth and held the water to her lips for her to drink.

“Xue’er, open your mouth and swallow the pill with some water.” Chu Molin gently squeezed her chin, forcing her to drink water and swallow the pill. He finally understood that the fearless girl was actually afraid of medicine. He didn’t want her to eat anything she disliked, but she was sick now, and he couldn’t indulge her.

Chu Molin watched over her, spoon-fed her some water, made her swallow the pill, then he wrapped his arms around her and warmed her with his body.
