Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 927: Chapter 921: Miscalculation_1

Xiao Qi gently embraced Nangong Beiying, a tender kiss imprinted on her forehead. Woman, from today onwards, regardless if you’re Chu Beiying or Nangong Beiying, I will never let you leave my side again. You will not escape from me, Xiao Qi, in this lifetime. This was a vow-like decision Xiao Qi made in his heart.

Nangong Beiying looked at Xiao Qi somewhat confused. So, the kiss he talked about was just a peck? It had her nervous for quite some time. She thought it was going to be a tongue kiss.

“What’s the matter?” A hint of amusement flickered in Xiao Qi’s eyes. This woman’s thoughts could sometimes be so simple, completely transparent, that anyone could see right through her.

“Nothing, let’s go.” Nangong Beiying felt utterly embarrassed and was ready to turn away and leave. Did he expect her to confess that she was anticipating his kiss? Did he expect her to admit that she wanted to know what it feels like? But before she could turn around, she was held back by a force.

“Huh,” Nangong Beiying stared in surprise at the handsome face that had suddenly loomed closer. Was she being kissed forcefully?

But didn’t he just kiss her just a moment ago? Why is he kissing her again? But why was her heartbeat so fast, as if it was about to burst out of her chest?

...
“Close your eyes.” Xiao Qi looked at her big eyes, feeling an overwhelming sense that he was bullying her.

As per Xiao Qi’s orders, Nangong Beiying obediently closed her eyes. But as she did, something slipped into her mouth. Her tongue was sucked on, this feeling shocked Nangong Beiying. So, this is what a kiss felt like? It seemed quite nice. She reached out to wrap her arms round Xiao Qi’s neck, just like the people from modern times did. But the very next second felt different from the last. She was almost out of breath. Was he trying to draw out all the air from her lungs?

Just when she thought she was about to suffocate, she was finally able to breathe deeply again.

Exhaling in relief, Nangong Beiying didn’t realize that kissing could be such an exhausting affair.

“Don’t you know how to breathe while kissing?” Xiao Qi hadn’t expected this woman to be clueless even about kissing.

Although he had never kissed anyone before, he had seen people kissing while studying abroad. Somehow, he instinctively knew how to go about it the moment his lips touched hers.

“I don’t.” Nangong Beiying, although felt embarrassed, admitted she really didn’t know how.

“That’s okay, you’ll learn with more practice.” Hearing her candid response made Xiao Qi very happy.

“What did you say? Practice more? Practice kissing? With whom?” Nangong Beiying threw out a series of questions in quick succession. It was tough for anyone to get close to her, let alone practice kissing. If she hadn’t agreed to Xiao Qi, did he think he’d be able to kiss her?

“Who do you want to practice with?” Xiao Qi raised an eyebrow and asked her.

“I don’t know, I’ve never thought about it.” Nanong Beiying answered after listening to him. Isn’t kissing something that lovers do? Is it something casual that can be practised with anyone? She certainly wasn’t the type to get touchy-feely randomly.

Was it right for emotionless people to do such things? This was Nangong Beiying’s current train of thought. She still didn’t know how she felt about Xiao Qi. She had good impressions, yes. She had left a forget-me-not sketch for him, but was it affection? They’d only met once before and this was just the second time, yet she had kissed him. Her first kiss in both her lives was gone just like that.

If Xuexue and Chenchen found out, they would certainly laugh at her. She had terribly miscalculated. How could she agree to let him kiss her? It must be the beauty that misled her, yes, that’s it. Over and over, Nangong Beiying was setting up her mind, finally finding an excuse for herself. But little did she know, if she didn’t like the person, would she even agree to such a request in the first place?
