Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 904: Chapter 898: Jing Yuan’s Inner Thoughts_1

Jing Yuan put on her clothes and exited to see Jing Peng waiting for her in the living room, her gaze darkened slightly, and then she quickly walked to Jing Peng’s side.

“Second Brother, let’s go.” Jing Yuan had checked herself over and hadn’t noticed anything amiss. So, apart from her somewhat odd way of walking, she hadn’t attempted to hide anything else.

“Alright, let’s go home. Can you walk?” Jing Peng looked at Jing Yuan, who had nearly tripped, and asked.

“I can, as long as we walk slowly.” Jing Yuan thought to herself that even if she couldn’t walk, she couldn’t let him support her, otherwise, people would immediately know what was going on, and then she would have to explain.

“Okay, then we’ll walk slowly, but be careful not to fall.” Jing Peng watched Jing Yuan with concern, genuinely afraid that she might have a nasty fall.

“I know, Second Brother, when we get back, I’ll go in first, and you enter later, understand?” Jing Yuan reminded Jing Peng with unease, she didn’t want both of them to appear in front of the Jings together.

...
“Okay, as you wish. Don’t do anything when you get home, just rest. I’ll handle our parents.” Jing Peng didn’t object and naturally agreed with Jing Yuan’s plan. It wasn’t a big deal, so he wouldn’t contest such a small matter.

The two didn’t speak any further. When they were nearing the Jings’ residence, Jing Peng fell a few steps behind. After Jing Yuan entered, he leaned against the wall lost in thought. Jing Yuan was finally his, the girl he had desired for many years was now his woman.

Don’t think he doesn’t know anything. In reality, he knows everything. He simply hadn’t discussed it with his so-called elder brother and this sister. He didn’t want to do anything, but he needed to understand that he and Jing Yuan weren’t related by blood. Otherwise, do you really think he’s such a beast that he’d lust after his own younger sister?

Speaking of which, he had known this fact many years ago. At that time, he had inadvertently discovered that his mother would leave for a day or two on occasion. At first, he didn’t pay much attention. Later, as he grew older, he tracked his mother and discovered that he wasn’t a child of the Jings. However, he didn’t know who his father was. The man was always cloaked in mystery, too concealed to see his face. He didn’t dare to get too close to them for fear of being discovered, so since then, he stopped tracking his mother.

Later when he realized he had feelings for Jing Yuan, he was tormented. But upon knowing that they were not related, he was secretly delighted, he considered this as divine help. Hence, he always assisted Jing Yuan in handling her life in their mother’s hand. Speaking of which, his help towards Jing Yuan was motivated by his feelings for her. Otherwise, he would have ignored her just like he does with his elder brother, Jing Xin.

Once Jing Peng recognized his own feelings, he began to strategically assist Jing Yuan, hoping she would also start to like him. Sadly, no matter what he did, she only showed him sibling affection. It could never be like the love she had for her elder brother. All this led to last night’s events. Unfortunately, Jing Yuan didn’t know that everything had been his whole orchestration.

Jing Peng gazed at the place where Jing Yuan’s figure had disappeared, then straightened up, flashed a devilish smile, and walked towards the Jings’ gateway.

“Where were you last night?” Jing Yuan had barely entered when she noticed Mrs. Jing sitting in the living room.

“Mom, I didn’t go anywhere. I left early in the morning because I couldn’t sleep, I wanted to watch the sunrise.” Jing Yuan did not expect to be intercepted by Mrs. Jing.

“Was the sunrise beautiful?” Mrs. Jing gave Jing Yuan a knowing smile. Did she think Mrs. Jing was dumb? Unable to notice her awkward manner of walking. Having experienced such matters herself, did Jing Yuan think she could fool her? However, since Jing Yuan wasn’t her biological daughter, and she never liked this girl much, even if she knew, she would not expose her.
