Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 899: Veronica’s Worries

While Xu Feng and Carmen remained in the secret dungeon, back at Garak City, Veronica was filled with confidence.

Having been able to contact Xu Feng and receiving praise for her decisive action made her feel great.

Moreover, he even stated that she was free to do what she believed was right.

Whatever happened, he would shoulder the responsibility for her once he returned.

Garak City, Braum Tavern

Veronica stretched her slender fingers as she heard the report from OneManMedia.

At this moment, OneManMedia was grinning from ear to ear.

After the initial backlash of the stream for not displaying either the Vanguard Guild Leader or Guild Commander, the viewers soon calmed down and turned into fanatics for both Blue Star and Dark Night.

For Blue Star, it was obvious that there would be many simps rooting for her.

As for Dark Night, his coolness and mysteriousness in killing numerous players flawlessly earned the yearning for many who hoped to become like him one day.

Since then, OneManMedia had been showered with gifts, many who urged him to stream the Star Team and the Night Team. His popularity reignited, sending his fellow competitors straight to the dust as he widened the gap.

”Guild Captain, right now, many neutral affiliations are still working hard in their mission for the NPC. But resources are limited, so it has become harder to control the situation.” OneManMedia reported.

Although they had succeeded in the monopoly, cracks started to appear after a while.

Because their Vanguard Guild also coveted the Qualification Profession, many members were assigned Guild Mission to complete them in exchange for contribution and Merit Points.

With that being done, almost half of the Garak Forest resources were collected by their Vanguard Guild.

And as all human nature would behave, some neutral parties were starting to question why they should be allowed to eat such a large pie?

After all, their teams were strong, but it was still under manpower to truly control all of Garak Forest.

Some even began to harbor thoughts of allying with the defeated troublemakers to counter and reclaim the forest for themselves.

Naturally, some of the underlying currents had already begun by those who despised and were angry at the Vanguard Guild. They only kept a low profile and remained hidden from the public eye.

”Do you have a list of affiliations that are somewhat discontent with the current development?” Veronica kept a calm expression as she asked.

”I have a few, but Iʼm positive thereʼs more.”

Soon, a list of affiliations were sent to Veronica in the message. That way, the names would remain there and OneManMedia wouldnʼt need to repeat it constantly.

Veronicaʼs eyes hovered around the affiliations and snickered coldly.

”Well, itʼs more or less the same as what I was thinking. For now, just inform the members to discreetly hinder them but not too overboard. Letʼs force them to make a move and advance the plot.”

”Advance the plot?”

”Yes, I want them to put the plan into motion.”

Veronica had long been dissatisfied with these affiliations who only dared to be greedy but dared not break off their peaceful facade.

Such behavior usually resembled the scum or parasites that must be eliminated to prevent bigger trouble.

After all, the moment they lose their momentum, these people would start targeting them.

”Does the Guild Leader know about this?” OneManMedia pursed his lips and raised the question. He knew asking such a question was equivalent to lowering Veronicaʼs authority. But there was no choice.

He had already gone through with this monopolization and if they were to take it a step further, OneManMedia could already envision their Vanguard Guild would become completely isolated.

Naturally, that was because OneManMedia wasnʼt permitted to the Haven Wind Town and lacked sufficient information to understand the situation.

”The Guild Leader has given me full authorization regarding the Garak Forest matter,” Veronica said solemnly, her eyes turning somewhat cold at OneManMedia.

Although she understood where his concerns were coming from, she needed to exude enough authority and demeanor to inform him who was the boss here.

ʼWith the Haven Wind Town as our trump card, so long as we open it to the public. Those who are dissatisfied or want to isolate us would quickly wag their tail and stick their tongue out to please us.ʼ She thought to herself, not minding about the consequences of her actions.

OneManMedia no longer dared to press on the matter further when he detected the change of tone in Veronicaʼs voice.

By now, he could already differentiate somewhat of Veronicaʼs mood. When her mood was lively, he could obviously speak a bit more overboard. But once her mood was soured, he knew to shut his mouth and simply adhere to her command.

ʼThe Guild Leader can be contacted already, so he should know the situation. If the Guild Captain was lying, then it would be easily exposed anyway.ʼ OneManMedia had long noticed the availability of the Guild Leader.

Despite knowing about it, he didnʼt dare to send a message and inquire about the situation.

Having been isolated and forced to quit in rage at his previous real-life job, OneManMedia knew the limit. He wouldnʼt make the same mistake again and sabotage his current place in the Vanguard Guild.

Soon, he nodded his head and said, ”I shall relay the matters to the Elite Teams.”

Just when OneManMedia was about to take his leave, Veronica suddenly warned him.

”Good, also make sure to not stream too often.”

”Rest assured, I wonʼt reveal any core secrets, much less information about the Equipment Set.”

After saying his piece, OneManMedia teleported away to the nearby Teleport Platform of Garak City.

The room was now quiet with her alone.

”As expected of the Guild Leader. He didnʼt recruit OneManMedia for naught.” Veronica muttered softly.

She had thought OneManMedia might be blinded by the popularity and competition amongst fellow live streamers and accidentally reveal more explosive content and information to gain followers.

However, her worries were for naught. OneManMedia understood very well what could be shown and what couldnʼt be shown.
