Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 878: Star Team and Night Team

Shortly after Blue Star and Dark Night signed their contract, most of the elites soon followed.

In the end, only four people objected to signing such a contract, seemingly afraid of the repercussions.

Toward this, Veronica didnʼt mind and waved her hand to dismiss them.

Nevertheless, Crimson Heart still made them sign another contract to keep quiet about this meeting.

This particular contract didnʼt have severe consequences, and the four people nodded. They signed and made their exit.

However, when they teleported away, deep in their hearts, they had already understood that they might never be favored again.

Although Veronica didnʼt punish them and they could still reap the benefit as an elite member, that was the end of their journey with the Vanguard Guild.

The remaining elite members didnʼt feel pity or sympathize with them whatsoever. That was the reality.

If one wants to continue to reap benefits, then they must offer their contribution. It was only right for that to happen in the natural course.

Once the atmosphere turned quiet again, Crimson Heart clasped her hands and revealed 10 Forsaken Sets.

As soon as the Sets were revealed, the elite membersʼ eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

Even Blue Star and Dark Night couldnʼt help but react to the glittering sets.

Without a doubt, they could easily discern that these sets were the main reason why they had to sign the confidential contract.

”Our Guild is really far ahead from the others.”

”These Sets could be worn even when youʼre level 35. But the attributes are like level 40 boost!”

”Not just that! Look at the set effects when all 6 pieces are worn. This is game-changing equipment!”

Pleased, Crimson Heart already knew these elite members understood the value of the Forsaken Set.

She returned to Veronicaʼs side and said, ”Iʼll leave the rest to you. Make sure to return me a lot with the Qualification Profession.”

”Rest assured, youʼre our chief smither. You will definitely be prioritized.” Veronica mused. She had promised Crimson Heart in advance that she would receive the craved Qualification Profession.

If it werenʼt for that, then Crimson Heart might have refused her suggestion. After all, the equipment distributions were authorized to her by Xu Feng.

Without Crimson Heartʼs approval, Veronica wouldnʼt be able to get her hands on these sets to be temporarily given to the elite members.

Crimson Heart didnʼt bother to say anymore and directly teleported away.

She was returning to Haven Wind Town where the mana density was extremely high and offered her high possibility in crafting.

A few minutes later, Veronica believed she had allowed enough time for the elite members to recover from their shock.

She cleared her throat and grabbed the attention. Once the crowd went silent, she announced, ”Now I know thereʼs 26 of you, but only 10 sets. I plan on splitting up the 26 into two teams of 13. The leader of them would respectively be Blue Star and Dark Night.”

Upon hearing that, nobody had any complaints. After all, among them, only these two had reached level 40. Not to mention, they didnʼt dare to fight for the leader position from them.

They knew their own limits.

Since there was no complaint, it goes without saying that 2 out of the 10 Forsaken Sets were going to be lent to them. In other words, only 8 sets were left to contend.

”Blue Starʼs team will be called Star Team, and Dark Night will be called Night Team. 4 sets will be allocated to the team and the two of you will choose the remaining elite members to join your team.” Veronica calmly said.

She didnʼt decide the entirety of the team because she understood that only the leader would know best as to what kind of people they want in their team.

Blue Star and Dark Night were visibly taken aback by the arrangement that allowed them to have such authority.

They glanced at each other briefly, and Dark Night yielded the first pick to Blue Star.

It wasnʼt that he didnʼt want the first pick. But if they go by the order of who joined the guild first, it was Blue Star.

Moreover, Dark Night didnʼt interact much with the members, so he couldnʼt be bothered to choose first anyway.

Blue Star frowned a bit as she glanced at the remaining members. Truth be told, she didnʼt want to become a leader of some team. But she knew raising objections here would only displease Veronica.

ʼI hope this is only a temporary team.ʼ Blue Star silently hoped. She had no interest in carrying her members and preferred solo play, similar to their Guild Commander Lunar Wraith.

She scanned around the room and decided to choose a female Gun Knight.

Not only was she a woman, but she was also using guns, albeit in a different category.

”Thank you for picking, Leader Blue Star.” The woman quickly thanked her and stood behind her. She was Kailey and at level 37.

Blue Star simply nodded slightly in response. Her attention was more focused on who else to choose.

Meanwhile, Dark Night was rather swift in his decision. ”Iʼll choose the level 37 Knight Lancer.”

Surprise flashed across Blue Starʼs eyes when she heard his decision.

After all, the Knight Lancer that was chosen was the first victim of her PvP record, Benson.

”I know you despised him, so I chose him to save you the trouble.” Dark Night explained.

His explanation quickly caused the crowd to turn awkward. Of course, it was mainly Benson, who wanted nothing more than to dig a hole to hide in.

He had thought he had caught Dark Nightʼs attention, but who would have thought that Dark Night was just doing Blue Star a favor.

Meanwhile, Bensonʼs companions began to start making small waves of laughter at his predicament.

Who told him to flirt and got beaten black and blue?

If anything, this was karma that he had caused!

Time quickly went by, and soon the Star Team and Night Team had been established. Aside from the leader, there were now 12 members on each team.
