The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 135: Chapter 135: The Difference Between Us

Ronan had only been outside for less than an hour when the atmosphere of the forest suddenly changed.

He was still recovering from his battle with Hati. Although his body had healed most of its injuries, his Essence had yet to return to its peak, and even his movements were not as smooth as they normally were.

Still, Ronan had decided to leave the camp as he needed to test his body but more importantly, he needed to understand how much stronger he had become after the tournament reward.

Unfortunately, he didn’t get the chance.

A terrifying roar suddenly echoed through the forest.

Ronan’s expression changed.

The sound wasn’t that of a Sovereign Realm beast but something far stronger.

The trees in the distance began to tremble as several powerful auras erupted one after another.

”Supreme Realm...”

Ronan’s eyes narrowed.

There was more than one.

At the same time, another roar echoed from somewhere ahead.

Ronan’s expression became serious.

He recognized that aura.

”Hesa...”

His body disappeared instantly.

Ronan rushed through the forest at his fastest speed, ignoring the pain still lingering within his body.

The closer he got, the stronger the terrifying auras became.

Then he saw them.

Hesa and Yen were fighting.

Several enormous beasts had emerged from the deeper region of the forest, and their bodies were so massive that the surrounding trees looked like grass beside them.

Yen was moving rapidly between them, her body disappearing into the shadows before reappearing several meters away.

She was clearly struggling, but she was still able to evade the attacks.

Hesa wasn’t as fortunate.

One of the beasts had already struck her.

Blood covered one side of her body as she was sent crashing through several trees before finally stopping.

”Hesa!”

Ronan’s eyes widened.

Another Supreme Realm beast raised its enormous claw and prepared to attack her again.

Ronan didn’t think.

His body moved before his mind could even process the situation.

Boom!

The ground exploded beneath his feet as he shot forward.

The beast’s claw descended.

Ronan appeared in front of Hesa and raised his arm.

Boom!

The collision created a massive shockwave.

Ronan’s body was pushed backward, his feet carving two deep trenches through the ground before he finally stopped.

Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

Hesa stared at him in shock.

”Ronan?”

Ronan didn’t look back his head ringing.

”Are you alright?”

Hesa gritted her teeth and forced herself to stand.

”I’m fine.”

”You call that fine?”

Ronan glanced at the blood covering her body before looking back at the Supreme Realm beast.

His expression became cold.

”Yen, take Hesa and get away from here.”

Yen’s eyes widened.

”What about you?”

”I’ll handle it.”

”You can’t!”

Yen knew exactly what condition Ronan was in.

He had only recently awakened after being unconscious for almost a week, and even now his Essence had not fully recovered.

He was still injured.

And the thing standing in front of him was a Supreme Realm beast.

Not Sovereign but a Supreme Realm beast, the gap between the two realms was enormous.

”Master...”

Yen’s voice became worried.

Ronan looked at her.

”Go.”

There was no room for argument in his voice.

Yen gritted her teeth before grabbing Hesa and pulling her away.

The Supreme Realm beast watched them leave before turning its attention back to Ronan.

Its enormous eyes carried a hint of intelligence.

Perhaps it understood that the small human in front of it was protecting the others.

The beast roared.

The sound shook the entire forest.

Ronan’s hair fluttered from the pressure as he slowly clenched his fists.

”Come.”

The instant Ronan spoke, the beast moved.

Its massive body disappeared from its original position, and Ronan’s eyes widened.

So fast.

He immediately activated White Bone Skin.

White skin covered his entire body as his physique transformed.

The beast appeared in front of him.

Boom!

Its fist collided with Ronan’s body.

The ground beneath him shattered.

Ronan’s body was sent flying through the forest, smashing through dozens of trees before finally stopping.

His body trembled.

Blood flowed from his mouth.

His injuries began healing, but Ronan could feel his Essence dropping rapidly.

He gritted his teeth.

”Damn...”

This was completely different from fighting Hati.

Hati was terrifyingly powerful physically, but Ronan could still fight him.

This beast was on another level entirely.

The difference between Sovereign and Supreme wasn’t something that could simply be ignored.

The beast charged again.

Ronan’s eyes narrowed.

He moved.

Boom!

The beast’s fist missed him by inches.

Ronan appeared beside its head and punched.

Bang!

His fist landed as the beast’s head shifted slightly but that was all, no damage was down to it.

Ronan’s expression became ugly.

”What the hell...”

The beast turned its head.

Ronan barely had time to react before another attack came.

He crossed his arms.

Boom!

His body was blasted into the ground , a crater formed beneath him as he coughed blood.

His White Bone Skin was already beginning to crack.

He couldn’t maintain this for long.

His Essence was still recovering from the fight with Hati, and now he was burning through it again yet he didn’t retreat because ehind him were Hesa and Yen.

He couldn’t allow the beast to reach them.

Ronan slowly stood while the beast charged.

Ronan’s eyes became cold.

”Destruction Incarnate.”

His destructive power began to rise.

The longer he fought, the more dangerous he became.

The beast’s attack arrived.

Ronan dodged and then delivered a massive punched.

Impact Force.

Boom!

The attack struck the beast’s body, but the Supreme Realm creature only staggered slightly.

Ronan followed with another attack.

Then another.

The battle spread through the forest.

Trees collapsed.

The ground shattered.

The surrounding beasts fled in terror.

Hesa and Yen watched from a distance.

Yen’s hands were clenched tightly.

”He shouldn’t be fighting that thing...”

Hesa lowered her head as she clenched her fist till they were white.

Ronan was already injured before coming here yet he had still come.

He had still stood between them and the beast while Ronan was thrown backward again.

He landed on one knee, his White Bone Skin was covered in cracks. His breathing was heavy as his Essence fell to a dangerously low level.

The Supreme Realm beast approached slowly as Ronan raised his head.

For the first time in a long time, he felt genuine pressure.

He could fight but he could barely injure it, killing it was impossible.

The beast raised its arm as ronan prepared himself but then...

A terrifying presence suddenly descended as the Supreme Realm beast froze. Ronan’s pupils also contracted while the beast slowly turned its enormous head.

Someone was standing several hundred meters away. It was a young man, his expression calm as he looked at the Supreme Realm beast.

Ronan recognized him immediately as the number on his wrist seem to glow

1.

Makle.

Number One.

The Supreme Realm beast suddenly became restless as its enormous body tensed as it stared at the young man.

Makle didn’t say anything as he simply raised one hand.

The next instant...

Boom!

A terrifying force descended.

The Supreme Realm beast didn’t even have time to roar as its enormous body was crushed.

The ground beneath it exploded as its body slammed into the earth.

Silence filled the forest with Ronan standing frozen.

The beast that had just pushed him to the edge of death...

Was dead.

Just like that.

One attack.

A Two-Star Supreme Realm beast had been killed instantly.

Makle lowered his hand.

His expression remained completely calm, as if what had just happened wasn’t worth mentioning.

Ronan stared at him.

He couldn’t help but smile.

”So you’re Number One...”

Makle looked toward him, his gaze briefly sweping over Ronan before moving to Hesa and Yen.

”You three should return to camp.”

His voice was calm.

Ronan looked at the corpse of the Supreme Realm beast before looking back at Makle.

”You killed it with one attack.”

Makle didn’t answer immediately.

Then he simply said,

”It was only a Two-Star Supreme Realm beast.”

Ronan’s smile widened.

Only?

To Ronan, that beast had nearly killed him.

He had fought it while injured, used White Bone Skin, Impact Force, and Destruction Incarnate, and still couldn’t kill it.

Yet to Makle...

It was only a Two-Star Supreme Realm beast.

Ronan’s blood began to boil.

He looked at the number on Makle’s wrist again.

1.

This was someone who was genuinely far stronger than him ,someone who could make his current strength look insignificant.

Makle turned and began walking away leaving Ronan and thw two qoemen behind. His destination, deep into the forest.

”Makle.”

The young man stopped.

”Thank you”.. Ronan said , if not for this young man, he might have been dead, he was truly grateful but also he wanted to grow stronger, strong enough to face him.

Makle stared at him for a moment before turning away.

”It is okay, Just get ateong wnouvh before jumping ahead , you know death is common right ?”

After saying this, his figure disappeared into the forest while Ronan remained standing there.

Hesa and Yen eventually approached him.

He looked at the corpse of the Supreme Realm beast.

Then toward the direction Makle had disappeared.

The Monster Camp was far more terrifying than he had imagined.

And that was exactly why he loved it.
