The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 111: Chapter 111: A Bloody Effort 3

With the death of two of them, the experts finally fought back.

They weren’t weak, actually, but were just caught off guard, and they outnumbered Yen and Ronan.

So, after the first kill, the next ones were harder. Not like Yen or Ronan weren’t strong enough to kill them, but having to fight four or five people wasn’t easy.

A random punch, a sudden attack when you are about to press on a kill, and the likes made it difficult.

It was not easy for Ronan and Yen as the two were gradually pushed back, as Fredrick showed a smile.

”So what if single-handedly you can kill all of us? Then we will gang up on you and wear you down.”

Just as he was feeling happy, he suddenly felt a crisis, and then..

”Ahhg...”

Fredrick groaned as he felt intense pain coming from his chest, right where his heart was once.

Wait, everywhere was going dark.

Thud!

Fredrick fell face-first as his head hit the ground, alerting the other experts who pulled away from Ronan and Yen, allowing the two to catch their breath.

Squeezing the heart, Hesa frowned as she looked at all the experts here including Yen and Ronan, who looked at her happily.

”Don’t get me wrong. I am not here to assist you, but if you die, then we die, so you can’t die yet,” Hesa said as Ronan’s smile froze, but then...

”That is okay.”

”Thank you,” Ronan said as Hesa snorted.

”Thank you, Hesa,” Yen smiled as Hesa nodded back.

The experts exchanged glances. These people didn’t seem to be worried about them.

They treated them like they were air.

Then the battle continued, only this time, with the three combined forces, one expert fell after another as the warehouse was covered in blood.

”Ah, that was refreshing,” Ronan spoke, stretching his body with a blissful smile on his face.

Hesa looked at the mutilated bodies on the ground as she walked out of the warehouse.

”I will be waiting for you,” Hesa turned to Yen as she spoke, ignoring Ronan, who gave a wry smile.

Once she was gone, Ronan turned to Yen as he spoke.

”Now for the important part... we have less than four hours to slaughter every being in this city, so get ready,” Ronan spoke.

Yen looked at Ronan, who seemed to have no difficulty in killing people. To him, the tens of thousands of people in this city were just meat he could chop.

Like they weren’t living, breathing humans.

But, well, she was also an assassin and had killed people before. She saw people like that too, but she had never thought of this number of people as just animals that could be slaughtered anyhow.

Yen followed Ronan outside as the two headed straight towards the gate of the city.

It was almost midnight, and most of the people had fallen asleep. The few who remained awake looked outside as they felt uneasy.

By the gate, all the Blood Servants could be seen with their bowls empty.

They had completed the task that Ronan gave them, although some people were still unable to resist the blood. But after a few ”enlightenments,” they stayed away. Thus, the tasks were completed.

”Now, let’s begin the feast,” Ronan spoke as he looked towards the sky.

It was midnight. The moon was bright and full as slowly, a white fog spread around the city, and one by one, those that didn’t fall asleep fell asleep while those already asleep fell into a deep sleep.

Then, slowly, the moon tinted into a blood moon as every vampire present suddenly felt hunger that they hadn’t ever felt before. Their eyes glowed, their claws came out, and their fangs elongated as they started attacking.

At the gate, only Ronan and Yen could still manage to stay in control.

”Yen... don’t hold back,” Ronan said as he also fell into hunger, attacking the nearest house he could see.

Yen closed her eyes, and the next time she opened them, she also attacked.

The humans who had fallen into deep sleep were like lambs being slaughtered one after the other.

From different houses, blood flowed out as slowly, blood turned into streams, and all of it began flowing to the center of the city as the white fog turned blood red.

Slash!

Slash!

The constant sound of flesh being torn apart rang out as, one after the other, the humans were killed.

With each kill, with each drop of blood flowing out, the fog grew heavier and heavier until it looked blood-soaked.

Meanwhile, Ronan could feel something in him awakening as he went to the center of the city.

The massacre continued for four hours. Ronan didn’t know how many died, but the huge amount of blood he saw was something he could never imagine.

The first phase of the ritual was complete. The next began as the blood started flowing into Ronan’s body as he groaned.

His veins expanded and exploded, then a new, better, and stronger one was formed. His bones, which were already upgraded multiple times, underwent another baptism as they turned a blood-red color.

His claws were sharper, his crimson eyes deeper, and his fangs longer.

[Ding! Breakthrough of Racial barrier has started.]

Ronan felt his mind go blank for a moment as the blood surged even faster into him, as his entire being was being changed from the cellular level.

And the barrier blocking him opened like a dam as his realm surged.

Sovereign One-Star...

Sovereign Two-Star...

Three...

It didn’t stop until Ronan was at the fifth star of the Sovereign Realm.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host has broken through to the Sovereign Realm.]

[Ding! Congratulations, Host has awakened the original Vampire bloodline.]

[Ding! Congratulations, Host has completed the quest and gained the corresponding rewards.]

[Ding!...

Ronan took a deep breath as he opened his eyes.

The sun had just started rising from the horizon as he looked at more than one hundred beings, each of them at the Peak Transcendent Realm, kneeling before him. Yen and Hesa were also in front of him, both on their knees.

Their bodies were trembling.

”We greet the Vampire Ancestor.”

Their voices rang out as they all looked up.

Blood-red eyes, fangs, and claws... They looked like puppets, their former selves seeming to have been suppressed.

Meanwhile, the city had turned into a ghost town. Dead, mutilated bodies were everywhere, and dried blood remained on the ground from the streams formed last night.

[Ding! Host has been involved with the death of a King Realm expert and has gained the corresponding rewards.]

Ronan froze.

Wait, what?

How did he get this?

Just then, it clicked. The Orc Chief was a King Realm expert, and with him planting the Sayo Eater seed, he had been involved in the death of a King Realm expert, meeting the requirement.

This was lovely.

”Stat,” Ronan called out with anticipation.

Ronan looked at his new stats with a smile. Everything had also improved, with the most obvious change being his realm.

The only thing Ronan was puzzled about was the said ”Hybrid Form.”

He couldn’t understand what that was, and more so, the system didn’t give an explanation.

But Ronan couldn’t relax yet. Now that he knew the Orc Chief was dead, that meant the Mayor and the rest of the experts would be back soon.

How to clean this up?

I mean, Ronan and the women could just escape and go to another city, but they needed to start all over, and that meant their aliases, Basha, Eve, and Joy, couldn’t be used anymore since they would be seen as dead or involved in this somehow.

This was proving to be a headache, but just then...

Huh...

Ronan actually sensed more than five vampire auras from afar. Normally, he shouldn’t be able to do so, but after his breakthrough and his bloodline reaching the Vampire Ancestor rank, he seemed to have changed.

An example was that he had full and total control over all his Blood Servants, hence why Hesa and the rest were on their knees and behaving like puppets.

”Interesting...” Ronan couldn’t help but smile. Now he had found a solution since he could guess who these vampires were.

They were the ones that were hunting him then.

Ronan took a step as he instantly appeared more than eight hundred kilometers away, where he met five familiar vampires.

The five looked at Ronan, who had just appeared, with fear.

”Kneel,” Ronan said softly.

Bang!

Their knees slammed onto the ground as the five showed terror on their faces. It was like their bodies were out of their control and only listened to Ronan.

They tried to stand, but no matter what they did, they didn’t budge.
