The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 133: Chapter 133: A Match etched into History

Hati wiped the blood from his lips as he stood up from the crater in the ground.

The attack just now had almost shattered his bones. That was how terrifying it was.

But even with him being this close to death, Hati was not afraid. Instead, he was excited as he looked around the arena, searching for Ronan.

As for the other participants, they looked at Hati in horror. They didn’t expect this, nor did they know what to believe, but this madman had met his match—someone who could go toe to toe with him based on physical prowess.

The dust that had risen settled, and Ronan could be seen standing.

Although he was bleeding from his ears, he had created an image so deeply ingrained in the people’s hearts that even years to come, they wouldn’t forget it.

On one side, Hati was bleeding profusely from his entire body. He was clearly injured from the attack, yet his opponent stood his ground and was only bleeding from his ears.

This was unexpected. No one thought this was even possible.

Surviving Hati’s attack was a miracle. Defending against it was escaping death’s clutches, but this kid had done it.

Meanwhile, the man of the moment, Basha, or rather Ronan, felt so much pain that he almost passed out instantly.

He missed the days when he was a pure Ghoul that could feel no pain. How he had not cherished those days. Now, he felt like his entire body was being ripped apart and devoured by tiny organisms one after another.

Outside, it seemed he was bleeding only from his ears, but inside, there was no complete part of his body.

Actually, Ronan’s flesh was grounded into pieces by that attack. His flesh had turned into nothing but mush, yet...

A grin appeared on Ronan’s face as his injuries healed, and he took a step forward.

The instant his feet touched the ground, he was already inches away from Hati.

Hati’s eyes widened, but Ronan was just too fast. He couldn’t react as he was punched.

Bang!

Like a gunshot, the sound echoed throughout not only the arena but the entire base as everyone felt their hearts jump.

Hati spat out two to four teeth as everyone gulped nervously.

Hati suddenly turned into a blur as Ronan frowned and took a defensive posture. His training with those soldiers had paid off. If not for them, he would have been defeated long ago.

The fact that a giant like Hati could move that quickly was more than just a surprise. It had turned into a horror show.

Ronan’s body tensed as Hati briefly appeared for a few seconds before he vanished once more. Blurs spread across the arena as he passed through the midst of stunned fighters and even occasionally came close to the top ten.

Then finally, Ronan calculated where Hati would appear next and stated that the few seconds would be enough for him to take him out.

He made his move as he turned into a long, straight line. He threw his leg forward like a whip as he cut through the air easily....

Pah!...

His leg hit the ground like a giant thick whip as it shattered the slabs beneath it. Only Hati wasn’t there.

Then Ronan felt a chill down his spine as he tried to dodge, but the speed was just too great.

Titan’s Momentum Lv.17:

The host’s physical strength continuously increases as he builds momentum through movement. The greater the distance and speed accumulated before an attack, the greater its destructive force.

Hati threw a punch as Ronan literally watched as light seemed to have collapsed. The attack cut through space and headed towards him.

Ronan had no doubt that if that attack were to hit, he would be injured. It seemed Hati had started taking this fight seriously.

Normally, Ronan should be afraid or throwing in the towel, but why the hell was he excited?

Annihilation Force.

Purple light covered Ronan’s entire arm as he punched out.

The two attacks, like world-ending calamities, met and then...

Crack!

It was tiny, almost like a needle, a crack appearing at the center as the two terrifying attacks canceled each other out. Yet the onlookers were off their seats, their bodies trembling as their blood came alive.

Yes, this was the human race. These were the dragons among men.

They couldn’t help but remember the first experts. In their young days, they were like this.

This was what the Emperor wanted...

No.

This was what the whole human race wanted.

”They broke space, right?” The man connected to the Emperor asked.

”Ah... it seems so...” Instructor Kali stammered as he spoke.

Meanwhile, the two responsible for this instantly knelt on the ground as the attack slowly dissipated and the hole healed.

Even on their knees, Ronan looked like a toy beside Hati.

Ronan looked up as he locked eyes with Hati. For Ronan, he couldn’t contain his growing excitement for their fight, while for Hati, he was also excited, only his excitement was part of the distinct traits of his bloodline.

The two stood up again as another attack was seen.

Mountain Shattering Force Lv.19:

The host can concentrate his immense physical strength into his attacks, allowing his punches and strikes to release destructive force capable of shattering massive areas of land. The greater the host’s physical strength, the greater the destructive force.

Hati’s destructive capability seemed to have increased fivefold as the once wide and well-built arena had now turned into a sieve, riddled with holes.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Ronan dodged, landing solid punches on Hati, but they all seemed to bounce off one after another as Ronan was growing desperate.

He didn’t know if it was because of the intensity of the battle, but White Bone Skin was already wearing out, and his entire body, from head to toe, was sore.

The fight was also reaching its climax as everyone dodged and gave them space as the attacks kept increasing.

Ronan parried an attack, then spun as he delivered a powerful kick to Hati’s neck.

While Ronan landed on his two feet, Hati knelt on one knee as he leaned at an angle to the left, the huge force almost making him lose consciousness.

”It has been fun...”

After a few moments, as Ronan backed away, catching his breath, he heard Hati’s voice. The next instant, he was already behind Ronan, who felt goosebumps travel down his spine.

This was...

Ronan moved rapidly, as fast as he could, and narrowly dodged the attack. But this wasn’t the main dish, as he felt the air itself trembling.

Heaven’s Fist Lv.20:

The host concentrates his overwhelming physical strength into a single punch, causing the surrounding space to tremble from the force. The attack can unleash destructive power far beyond his ordinary physical strength.

Hati clenched his fist as a vacuum seemed to have been created around his fist. Terrifying energy filled it as Ronan’s expression changed.

This punch, no matter where he ran to, he wouldn’t be safe.

”Well, since I can’t hide, then let’s just finish this,” Ronan muttered, his eyes cold.

Even with all the abilities he had, making his physical prowess that terrifying, he still met someone who was above him.

This was the Monster Camp truly—a place where your strongest was just someone else’s starting point.

Impact Force.

Ronan moved as he attacked while Hati had finished preparing his attack.

Heaven’s Fist.

The two attacks were released while, from the side, Yen’s heart was racing. Meanwhile, Hesa was too.

She didn’t know when she started caring for Ronan, but at this moment, she did. Maybe it was just fear of dying. After all, once Ronan was gone, they would die too.

Hati was terrifying; that much was clear. But from this attack, as their dialogue showed, there was no doubt this attack would decide who won and who lost.

Knowing this, how could the two women remain calm?

If Ronan lost, then Hesa died. Meanwhile, for Yen, she was genuinely worried about Ronan, and with the two having a relationship, she almost wanted to blurt out that Ronan should give up or shout for it to be stopped.

But she knew Ronan wouldn’t want that.

The best she could do was just cheer him from the side, nothing less, nothing more.

And so, the two attacks inched closer and closer to one another as everyone held their breaths, fear evident on their faces as the two attacks finally met.

Boooom!

A large explosion appeared as dust covered everything.

Everyone waited with wounded hearts, eager to see who won and who lost. Only when they saw the positions of the two fighters did their eyes widen.

Hati had actually missed, just by a few inches, meanwhile Ronan drove deep and landed squarely in Hati’s stomach.

The two stood frozen in place.

At first glance, Ronan had won, but when people looked at Hati’s punch, they felt genuine fear.

A large ravine was formed. It was more than five kilometers wide and more than five thousand kilometers long, a long stretch through the forest.

Hati’s attack had missed Ronan, but just the shockwave, the residual forces... they were all enough to finish Ronan.

And so, the two bodies slowly fell onto the ground.

Thud!

Thud!
