The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 130: Chapter 130: monsters growth 2

The next few days brought a massive change to the camp. The well-known number 10, Boniface, had been kicked out of the top ten and now hovered around the top 20.

Not only him, but some of the other top-ten beings had also fallen. The moment people started getting their hands on God-blessed weapons and growth-type weapons, their strength changed.

Some discovered another side of their traits, while others experienced massive breakthroughs in the cultivation room. Although the ones built into the top ten were decent, the main camp had even better ones.

And one after another, they met the instructors. No doubt, they were strong, very strong. People guessed they were even above the Supreme Realm, after all, this island already had Supreme Realm beasts and even a Legend Realm beast at the deepest part.

As for the two women, they finally joined a group with a higher female-to-male ratio. They needed points too. They still had their human traits, and with their growth came an increase in their strength as well, unlike Ronan, who didn’t need any instructor or even any weapon.

He stayed as far away from the God-blessed weapons as much as possible. He knew he was an undead, and getting involved with the gods was guaranteed death for him. Plus, all his traits were undead, well, except for the human trait, but he didn’t feel he should show that just yet.

And also, he was finally able to hunt King Realm beasts as he successfully broke through to the Eight-Star Sovereign Realm.

But one thing he noticed was that he didn’t gain a trait just by killing a member of that race once.

He needed to kill a strong enough member of that race, which meant not just a One-Star King Realm beast, but a Three-Star and above.

At first, Ronan felt the system was cheating him, but after getting to know that killing strong members of that race gave good-quality traits like Destruction Incarnate, Ronan was even more excited to fight. But alas, he couldn’t kill a Three-Star King Realm beast yet. His highest was a Two-Star King Realm beast as the day finally arrived.

At this moment, everyone had gathered. At the start of this camp, they had over one thousand people in the camp, and now, after a month and one week, they had only barely above eight hundred.

At the very least, more than four hundred people had been killed. Some were murdered silently, some died from injuries caused by monsters, and others were killed and eaten by monsters.

No matter how they died, those remaining had changed rapidly. Factions were formed. Although they were alone, the division was there.

The factions controlled by the top 50s were the strongest, followed by the top 200 and the others.

As long as one being in this rank led a group, that group was safe and could even go on to extort others. For the top 200, this was a good thing. It was another way to grow their points by having people work under them.

But even with the changes in the top 200, with some falling out of it, those outside the top 100 shooting into the top 50, and those outside the top 200 entering it one after another...

People still felt the change was minimal. Not only them, but the instructors too. These kids... a lot of them were hiding their strength, especially when they got used to the environment around this camp.

It had some unspoken rules. If all your strength was known, you would die faster unless you were in the top 20. Because of this, everyone didn’t just show their strength, they kept most of it hidden.

But this tournament would expose all of it.

”I am glad you all are awake and ready. The tournament arena has been built over this month, so without further ado, follow me,” Instructor Kali spoke calmly as everyone exchanged glances.

It was time for them to show their strength, to show how much their strength had grown.

Today, the rankings would change. People would get injured or die... monsters’ growth would finally be seen.

The crowd followed behind him as Ronan saw the two women, he couldn’t help but smile at Hesa and Yen, who nodded in return.

Hesa’s eyes were much colder than before. Even Ronan felt a chill down his back. He wondered how strong the two women were now.

You see, during these days, Ronan had been using all of his abilities. He had also controlled some people and killed them after, testing each ability in battle and looking for the most effective way of using them.

And now that the day had arrived, he wondered how well he would do. He could kill a Two-Star King Realm beast while being only at the Eight-Star Sovereign Realm. He had five traits, with one at the Second Evolution and two at the First. He had a lot of abilities.

And each one enhanced his strength, allowing him to leap through realms and battle someone stronger than him.

Yet, was this enough? After all, this was a camp home to monsters... humans that had transformed and had become something else entirely.

Their strength surpassed conventional understanding. Where would he fall?

Dominating was out of the question, after all. As early as the beginning of the camp, Boniface could already kill a Three-Star King Realm beast, and right now, he was in the top 20.

How strong were the top ten?

Ronan and the rest arrived as a large arena was presented before them. All around were nine other small arenas. This was where they would battle and where the ranks would change.

They saw all the instructors coming out to watch them, their hands behind their backs. But beside them were various people, their faces not seen, but everyone could sense the change in the air.

No doubt, these were powerful people, not only with regards to realm but also political power. But just then...

”Shrrrk... shrrrk... shrrrk...”

A large body was being dragged back. Its massive size, almost one hundred meters long, was visible from a distance as a human calmly dragged it.

The worst part was the aura from the creature. This was a Supreme Realm creature, and as the human drew closer, the mark on his wrist became visible.
