The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 125: Chapter 125: Seven Star Soverign realm

”AAAGH!” Ronan groaned in pain as his fist was caught by the King Realm Mawbeast. It was almost large enough to cover Ronan’s entire body.

Holy shit...

Ronan’s eyes widened as he looked at the monstrosity... preparing its attack.

Gritting his teeth, Ronan moved out of the way as his leg seemed to float, his speed suddenly shattering the sound barrier as he leaped from one tree to another, yet...

Devastating Strike.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Three loud attacks rang out as the trees were evaporated and the ground sank a few inches as Ronan was blasted forward, the skin on his back seeming to be peeled off.

Ronan crashed onto the ground in pain as his back started healing. Burnt and dead skin fell off one after another as new skin grew.

But at this moment, the sky seemed to darken. Actually, the monster had raised its giant leg, and then it came down as the air strained and the temperature rose sharply.

Boom!

Ronan backed away, his heart racing as he gulped.

What the hell? How could one beast be this strong?

Mind you, this beast was injured and not at its full strength.

Bam!

Ronan jumped back as he crossed his arms. Yes, the attack was dodged, but what about the shockwave after?

Ronan’s leg sank into the ground as he gritted his teeth, then the ground trembled under the weight of the Mawbeast King.

Impact Force...

A purple light covered the Mawbeast’s entire left body part as Ronan felt a death crisis.

His entire body tensed up as he bent his leg, his back almost touching the ground as the large fist passed by him.

But just its passing by destroyed Ronan’s entire face as his body sank into the ground.

BOOM!!!!

A large crater almost a kilometer wide was created as Ronan felt his ribs were all broken. Blood flowed out from his nose and mouth as every breath was filled with pain.

”I think... I thi... my lungs are affected too...” Ronan coughed as he tried to move.

His legs were wobbly, but he was like a spring as he sprang forward.

He could feel the Mawbeast King preparing another attack, only...

Ronan didn’t escape this as the mouth on its back opened up and then clamped shut hard, causing both of Ronan’s knees to be instantly shattered.

”Ahhg...” Ronan grunted in pain as he fell onto the ground with both legs gone.

His heart pounded hard in his chest as his eyes shrank in horror. He didn’t expect this...

Without his two legs, wasn’t he doomed?

But then he felt his knees itch as his legs grew one after the other.

His essence was going down rapidly, and the fight had just started.

Ronan’s legs grew as he stood up from the ground, his eyes locked onto the monster as he moved.

Staying passive wouldn’t work. He needed to attack the monster, not create new wounds, but...

”Roooooaaaa!”

The Mawbeast King roared loudly as it felt its wounds seem to expand, purple light filling the surrounding area.

Waving its arms, it tried its best to catch Ronan, but to no avail, as Ronan was like a fly dodging the giant palm of the Mawbeast that acted as squatters.

Finally, Ronan saw an opening as he moved. The Mawbeast sensed Ronan and used one of its abilities.

Ruinous Charge.

It dashed out with extreme speed as Ronan lost sight of it, then...

Boom!

An explosion occurred as tens of kilometers were destroyed, the trees obliterated as a giant hole was formed.

The two stood in silence. On Ronan’s side, he was on the monster’s face, at least his upper torso was, as a hole the size of a human spanned across the Mawbeast’s eye.

Meanwhile, on its stretched-out fist was a bloody mess, which was once the lower part of Ronan’s body.

Bang!

The huge body of the Mawbeast King fell backward as Ronan felt his mind go blank.

He actually won... this...

He felt so excited. Of course, if people were to see him, they would think he had lost it. After all, his lower torso was basically gone. Why were you happy?

To other people, this was a life-threatening injury, but for Ronan?

His lower torso began growing, and soon, a new one was created as Ronan moved it and was back to normal.

He looked at the corpse of the Mawbeast King. Even if it was dead, there was this lingering aura around it that made one’s heart jump.

It was not an easy feat, but now he did it.

[Ding! Quest completed.]

[Host has gained 2000 essence.]

[Host has gained a unique evolution trait, Destruction Incarnate.]

But Ronan knew this wasn’t over. So he started as he devoured both the creature’s flesh and blood.

[Ding! Destruction Incarnate Lv.11 → Lv.12.]

Forty minutes later...

[Ding! Destruction Incarnate Lv.12 → Lv.14.]

Three hours later...

[Ding! Destruction Incarnate Lv.15 → Lv.18.]

By the time Ronan finished, the beast was a giant skeleton, and it was dark. Then, he turned to the three still-unconscious humans with a smile.

This time, he knew he could start devouring their blood and eating their flesh. Anyways, it was normal for people to die outside, and more importantly, they didn’t seem to be monitoring them, at least outside the camp. Or else, some of those who could have died would have been rescued.

”Now let’s see how incredible the three traits of geniuses are,” Ronan smiled as he opened his mouth, revealing four fangs as his eyes turned crimson. Then, he bit down and started devouring their blood.

Only after the first blood was devoured, there was nothing.

Wait, what the hell?

Looking at the pile of bones, Ronan frowned. He couldn’t believe it. Then he devoured the second.

The same thing.

Could it be he couldn’t take human traits?

No, what type of system was this? It was definitely out to scam him.

But when he devoured the third human, a change finally happened.

[Ding! The host has gained the Human racial trait, Limitless Potential.]

Click!

The bones fell onto the ground as Ronan felt refreshed. Drinking blood was always a delightful thing; he loved it.

But now he wondered how his status was. He felt strong... very strong.

Inventory: Evolutionary Trait Upgrade Card (increases trait by five levels)

---

• Destruction Incarnate Lv.19:

A racial trait evolved from Destructive Instinct. The host becomes an incarnation of destruction, causing its destructive power to continuously increase throughout battle. The greater the strength of the opponent, the injuries suffered, and the destruction surrounding the host, the faster its power grows. As the battle continues, the host’s attacks become increasingly destructive, eventually allowing the host to unleash power far beyond its original limit.

• Limitless Potential Lv.2:

A universal racial trait possessed by the Human race. Humans possess an innate ability to develop beyond their current limitations. The strength of this trait varies according to an individual’s talent, bloodline, physique, comprehension, and potential. The greater the individual’s innate potential, the stronger the trait’s manifestation.

---

”Huh, System, why did I only gain one trait from the humans I killed?” Ronan couldn’t help but ask.

[The Human race is considered a single race even if they have diverse traits per member.]

”Oh, that makes sense,” Ronan muttered with a smile.

His strength had improved once more, jumping to the Seven-Star Sovereign Realm. He had acquired a unique trait, and he also had the Human race, which meant the more awakened humans he killed, the stronger the trait would become.

But only after fighting with a King Realm beast did he understand the difference between the top 10 and everyone else.

Most likely, their traits had passed the Second Evolution. No wonder they were that strong.

The Mawbeast he struggled to fight with could barely exert 10% of its strength, plus the injuries and the likes. It was basically handicapped, yet Ronan almost died.

Now imagine the three that fought it to this stage. How strong were they?

But no doubt, coming to this camp had been useful. Ronan now had five traits and nine abilities, and it was still counting. No one knew his limit, but he wasn’t close to it at all.

With three traits at the First Evolution and multiple abilities now enhancing his strength, Ronan had become far stronger than he was when he first stepped into this continent.
