The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 118: Chapter 118: Welcome to the Monsters camp 2

”We have no choice but to fight through them,” Ronan said with a frown.

”Hesa, how’s your arm?” Ronan asked.

”It is healed.” Standing up with Yen’s help, Hesa spoke as Ronan nodded.

”Well, I will need you to assist me in pushing them back. Yen, you are our eyes. For the attacks we can’t see, you help, okay?” Ronan spoke.

”Yes, Master.”

”Alright, let’s begin.” Ronan said as he raised his two fists.

Hesa joined him as the ground below Yen turned dark as she was ready to use her ability.

”Gggddkkk...”

The monsters attacked as the two sides collided.

Bang!

Ronan collided with the stronger ones while Hesa picked the weaker ones, but even they were at the Two-Star and Three-Star Sovereign Realm.

Hesa could fight above her realm, but at most, one realm. Two was a stretch, and occasionally, Four-Star Sovereign Realm monsters cast their eyes on her while Ronan tried to remove as much pressure from Hesa as he could.

In turn, taking damage.

Bam!

Hitting the chest, Ronan retreated as he grabbed the mouth-like feature of a Five-Star Sovereign Realm monster attacking Hesa, then lifted it up and smashed it into the ground.

Just then, a large hand swipe headed straight for his head as Yen appeared.

Boom!

The air trembled as literal shockwaves spread around, followed by intense wind.

”Thank you.” Pulling back, Ronan spoke with a smile. He had been fighting and got carried away, entering deep into their midst.

If not for Yen, he would have been injured, and worse, if he didn’t stop and went deeper into it, he would be trapped, and death wasn’t so far from him.

The three fought as the bodies of the monsters fell one after another, and the trio’s combat efficiency increased, but it didn’t go on for too long.

They wiped out the weaker ones, but with the strong ones left, there was little that Yen or Hesa could do, so injuries started happening.

Bang!

Bang!

The two flew out and hit a tree, breaking it.

Ronan, seeing this, broke out of his fight as he retreated.

”Are you guys okay?” Ronan couldn’t help but ask as the two girls bled from their heads and noses.

”We... cough...”

Yen vomited blood as she felt dizzy.

Receiving a punch from a Four-Star monster was something that could have ended her life.

The same went for Hesa. She, too, was injured. She felt that maybe a rib might have been broken. Unlike Yen, she was attacked by a Five-Star Sovereign Realm monster.

Her body was in pain all over.

”I... I don’t think I can continue.”

”Sorry, Master.”

The two women spoke as they leaned their backs against the trees, breathing heavily.

Cold sweat dropped from Ronan’s face. His muscles were sore. He was fighting monsters above his realm, and even if his bone density was extreme and his physical body was enhanced to levels where he could fight above his realm, there was still a limit.

Right about now, he was reaching it, and once he did, that was the end for them.

Most likely, the three of them would die... but Ronan couldn’t accept that. He didn’t want to die... not yet. He had dreams to accomplish, goals to chase, women to...

Cough, cough. You get the point.

”Don’t worry.” Ronan stood up.

”Just leave everything to me.” Ronan said with a smile as he turned back, then white bones covered his body.

There was one reason he didn’t want to use this trait.

Apart from the duration of only two hours, it wouldn’t be usable for a while as the cooldown was a day. If used, then they had to wait a day before it could be used again, not to talk of the weakness afterward, which meant if these monsters were not the only threat, then they were basically screwed.

That was why Ronan hesitated to use it, but it seemed now he was left with no choice.

Ronan attacked as he felt the surge of strength entering his body. If before he was already terrifying, now he was like a monster with a human body as he tore the creatures into pieces.

Crushing Roar Lv.1:

”Rooar!”

Ronan opened his mouth as a powerful shockwave spread out. The Mawback monsters paused as their ears bled. They fell onto the ground one after the other, their bodies spasming as Ronan took advantage and finished them off one after another before they could recover.

Meanwhile, Yen and Hesa looked at Ronan, filled with surprise.

It really was amazing... When was it that Ronan was but a Peak Transcendent Realm being, or when he was even weaker and she and Hesa used to carry him because he couldn’t fly, and now...

He was strong enough to fight and kill Seven-Star and Eight-Star Sovereign Realm beings.

How shocking was that? They had basically watched Ronan grow from a weak being to what he was now.

”Huff, huff...”

Ronan felt drained as he checked his stats.

He was drained. All his essence had been used. He couldn’t use any more abilities; the only one still on him was the White Bone Skin.

Ronan’s legs were weak. Having your essence emptied was a terrible thing.

Although it would recover slowly, once this happened frequently, it could lead to an overdraw, which could cause serious damage to one’s body.

Ronan also sat down on the ground as he leaned on the tree, sitting between Yen and Hesa.

”Master, you did well.”

”Thank you...”

The two girls struggled to say it. They looked at the dozens of corpses of Sovereign Realm Mawback Beasts with a sigh.

If not for Ronan, they most likely wouldn’t have survived, so this was the gap between them and him now.

Hesa couldn’t help but feel a drive to grow stronger. Once, she was above Ronan, but he seemed to not only be catching up, but his abilities... At least, she had seen him use more than three by now.

Could it be he was a library of all the abilities?

Hesa thought. Meanwhile, Yen felt pressured. After all, she couldn’t forget needed to help Ronan, not to talk of her relationship. She felt that, being his woman, she needed to be strong enough, or she would end up dragging him down.

”I...” The two women opened their mouths to speak at the same time, then blushed almost on cue as Ronan raised his head.

What is wrong with these two women?

He didn’t know about that, but there was one question he wanted to know the answer to.

Where the hell were they? And what did the Mayor do to them?

”Caw!!!”

A loud bird sound was heard as the Peak Sovereign bird seemed to have seen the corpses and was heading here. Not only it, but even the ocean... The auras seemed to have increased.

”We can’t stay here,” Ronan spoke as the two women also exchanged glances.

The trio, injured and bleeding, went into the forest, they had no idea what was waiting for them.

Meanwhile, on top of the giant bird was a stern man wearing military attire.

”A Five-Star Sovereign Realm being with the ability to kill Eight-Star Sovereign Realm monsters.”

”Two One-Star Sovereign Realm beings that could kill a Two-Star Sovereign Realm monster and fight on equal terms with Three-Star Sovereign Realm monsters.”

”One good seed and two decent candidates.”

”Not bad,” the man spoke calmly as the bird dived down, heading towards the corpses.

Meanwhile...

At another continent,

It was the blooming season of fishing as large ships sailed out and the ports were crowded by the ships of travelers.

This time, it was for the upcoming fishing competition and also the annual Tajin Tournament, a tournament for the talented youths around the nearby continent.

At the side of the port, a body could be seen breaking through the water as one of the fishermen spotted him.

”Wait... isn’t that a human?”

”Quick, send help.”

If Hesa were here, she would have realized this was the elder brother of Jani, General Tayin.
