God's Imitator

The third round of Guess the Number began.

’Sheep’ found ’Owl’ and offered new terms.

”After our discussion, we’ve decided to give our final conditions. If you still don’t agree, then we won’t be able to cooperate anymore.

”I’ve already created ’Contract Vouchers,’ but the agreed content on them is: players holding these vouchers must keep or consume the ‘Fool Cards’ in their hands through battles according to my requirements.

”The ’Contract Vouchers’ can give you 35, but I must personally deliver them into the hands of all ‘Fool Players’.”

After ’Sheep’ finished speaking, she took out one of her own Contract Vouchers from her pocket and showed it to ’Owl.’

The content had already been written on it.

The content on all of a player’s Contract Vouchers must be completely identical, which meant once it was determined, it couldn’t be changed.

’Owl’ looked at it. Compared to the conditions he had previously proposed, ’Sheep’ had ultimately not only failed to agree to the clause ’must enter the final voting stage,’ but had even deleted the clause ’cannot withdraw from selection during the final vote.’The specific content of the Contract Voucher made absolutely no restrictions on her as the creator.

However, ’Owl’ wasn’t particularly surprised by this.

He nodded, ”That works too, but I said before that if the Contract Vouchers are filled out this way, you need to propose a more constructive plan that gives me more benefits.”

’Sheep’ looked at him and lowered her voice, ”Can we step aside to talk?”

This time ’Owl’ didn’t refuse and came with ’Sheep’ to a corner of the hall, far from the crowd.

’Sheep’ took out another Contract Voucher from inside her clothing.

”This is ’Rabbit’s’ Contract Voucher. If you agree to this condition, then ’Rabbit’s’ Contract Vouchers can give you and ’Sika Deer’ 20 each.

”You should know what this means.”

’Owl’ Lin Sizhi looked at the content on the Contract Voucher. It was very different from ’Sheep’s’ Contract Voucher.

Players holding ’Rabbit’s’ Contract Vouchers, if they entered the final 5-person voting stage, must voluntarily withdraw from selection.

From the current situation, ’Owl,’ ’Sika Deer,’ ’Rabbit,’ and ’Sheep’ would most likely be able to enter the final voting stage.

The implication in this was self-evident.

’Owl’ Lin Sizhi didn’t directly agree, but instead asked, ”So what’s your plan?”

’Sheep’ was somewhat surprised, ”I thought with your level of cleverness, after seeing this voucher, you should understand.”

’Owl’ Lin Sizhi shook his head, ”No, this voucher is ’Rabbit’s’ plan. I already understand that.

”What I’m asking about is your plan.”

...

After some more time passed, ’Sheep’ returned to the small group of ‘Sage Players’.

’Rabbit’ Han Mengying had been waiting somewhat anxiously, though she could roughly guess that the plan should be going fairly smoothly.

”’Owl’ and ’Sika Deer’ both agreed. The result of this round of Guess the Number will be around 45.”

’Rabbit’ Han Mengying nodded, ”Very good. Then let’s hand over both our Contract Vouchers to them.”

As Han Mengying spoke, she likewise took out a thick stack of Contract Vouchers.

”There are 60 Contract Vouchers here in total.

”20 for you, 20 for ’Owl,’ 20 for ’Sika Deer.’

”I’ll keep 20 for myself, and the last 20 will be distributed to the others in our small group.

”This is the true ’optimal distribution plan.’

”Also...

”Welcome to join us. You’ve made the right decision.”

’Sheep’ nodded, ”Happy cooperation.”

...

With most players unaware of the inside story, the final result of ’Guess the Number’ was already determined.

’Rabbit’ and ’Sheep’ together came to the two small groups of ’Owl’ and ’Sika Deer’ to distribute Contract Vouchers.

’Rabbit’ Han Mengying wanted to ensure every voucher was distributed according to her plan.

What they distributed openly was naturally ’Sheep’s’ Contract Vouchers, 35 to each small group, all evenly divided among each player.

Those ‘Fool Players’ indeed didn’t see any problem with the Contract Vouchers.

After all, they had completely given up on thinking. As long as ’Owl’ and ’Sika Deer’ didn’t raise objections, even if they vaguely had some worries, they wouldn’t question it.

They happily accepted them.

Privately, ’Rabbit’ and ’Sheep’ also gave ’Owl’ and ’Sika Deer’ 20 of ’Rabbit’s’ Contract Vouchers each.

Before this, ’Owl’ and ’Sika Deer’ had already begun arranging for their subordinate players to pay off their debts in batches and exit ’Guess the Number.’

Those players with more visa time could exchange a total of 60,000 chips over 3 hours.

At the same time, through the method of cooperating to collect basic subsistence at the battle platform, they could also obtain some additional chips.

Players who didn’t have enough chips used the ’Sheep’s’ Contract Vouchers they had just received to exchange chips with players inside the small group at the battle platform. Each Contract Voucher was recognized as having a value of at least 10,000 chips.

Just like this, through internal distribution, these players paid off their debts and exited the ’Guess the Number’ activity.

Of course, in the remaining time, they could still continue to obtain card sets and could go to the battle platform to continue battling and collecting basic subsistence.

It’s just that each round they had to use up a specific number of ‘Fool Cards’ according to ’Sheep’s’ requirements to cooperate in manipulating the results of ’Guess the Number.’

Aside from a very small number of stubborn players who were still making blind guesses, organized players basically all exited before the fourth round of the Guess the Number activity ended.

And those stubborn players were all forcibly eliminated in the fourth and fifth rounds. With most ‘Fool Cards’ under control, it was impossible for them to be lucky enough to guess correctly every time.

This also meant that ’Guess the Number’ lost all suspense early when the fifth round ended. Only the final 5 players remained on the field.

According to the game rules, these 5 players would not be eliminated again. They could all enter the final vote by all players.

These 5 players were:

’Rabbit,’ ’Sheep,’ ’Turtle,’ ’Owl,’ ’Sika Deer.’

For those players who didn’t know the truth, this final list represented a great victory for the ’Sage small group.’

Because ’Rabbit,’ ’Sheep,’ and ’Turtle’ were all members of this small group.

Among them, ’Rabbit’ and ’Sheep’ were ‘Sage Players’, while ’Turtle,’ ’Owl,’ and ’Sika Deer’ were all ‘Fool Players’.

The reason the final list turned out this way was naturally also agreed upon in advance.

No one would allow ‘Sage Players’ other than ’Rabbit’ and ’Sheep’ to enter the final list, so three ‘Fool Players’ had to be used to fill the positions.

Everything was developing according to ’Rabbit’ Han Mengying’s plan.

...

Han Mengying’s plan actually wasn’t complicated. It was just substituting one thing for another.

The original distribution plan was like this:

’Sheep’s’ 100 Contract Vouchers would be distributed with 35 to each of the two small groups ’Sika Deer’ and ’Owl.’

Within the small groups, these vouchers were basically all evenly divided. ’Sika Deer’ and ’Owl’ themselves would at most take 3 to 5 each.

The remaining 30 would be distributed internally within the Sage small group: ’Rabbit’ Han Mengying, ’Hummingbird’ Luo Wei, ’Mole,’ ’Turtle,’ plus the two outsiders ’Sheep’ and ’Dalmatian,’ totaling 6 people.

Averaged out, each person would get about 5 vouchers.

If core members ’Rabbit’ or ’Sheep’ wanted to take more, or allocate more to ’Hummingbird’ Luo Wei who had too little visa time, they could only forcibly squeeze the benefits of other players.

After all that work to only get this much benefit was naturally unacceptable to ’Rabbit’ Han Mengying.

So when ’Owl’ hinted at ”giving more benefits,” ’Rabbit’ Han Mengying naturally thought of another strategy.
