God's Imitator

’Rabbit’ Han Mengying sighed, ”We can only accept this price.

”’Owl’ put forward two conditions: first, he doesn’t accept ’Hummingbird’s’ Contract Vouchers, and wants us to submit a list of three additional names for him to choose whose Contract Vouchers to specifically use.

”Second, this person’s Contract Vouchers must give him at least 35.

”Only after that will he be willing to continue discussing the specific content of the ’Contract Vouchers’ with us.”

’Sheep’ thought seriously, ”Two small groups, 35 vouchers each, totaling 70 vouchers.

”As for us internally, there are 30 vouchers left, each voucher worth at least 10,000 chips.

”Overall, we still profit. ’Owl’s’ number is quite cleverly calculated, basically right at the bottom line we can accept.”

But ’Rabbit’ Han Mengying and ’Hummingbird’ Luo Wei were obviously both quite dissatisfied with this plan.

”But compared to the previous plan, our gains are too small.

”Why should those ‘Fool Players’ who don’t do anything also get to share so many chips?”’Sheep’ sighed, ”There’s no way around it. Once Fools have organization, they’re no longer Fools.

”They’ve already proven their execution ability. It’s difficult for us to find a breakthrough point. We can only reach a Nash equilibrium after mutual compromise.”

After serious consideration, ’Rabbit’ Han Mengying said, ”No, there’s still a way.

”In any case, let’s first select three candidates to create Contract Vouchers and let ’Owl’ choose.

”Since they don’t accept ’Hummingbird,’ then only I, ’Sheep,’ and ’Mole’ are left.”

At this time, within the small group, there were 5 ‘Sage Players’, among which ’Rabbit’ Han Mengying, ’Hummingbird’ Luo Wei, and ’Mole’ all belonged to Community 4.

While ’Sheep’ and ’Dalmatian’ were considered outsiders.

Although ’Dalmatian’ stayed, he wasn’t willing to mass-produce Contract Vouchers and was only willing to exchange a small amount of Contract Vouchers to assist.

Moreover, he didn’t look particularly smart and was an outsider, so Han Mengying didn’t want him to have access to deeper strategy.

’Owl’ and ’Sika Deer’ would choose one from these three people, and the finally selected player would be able to create and distribute Contract Vouchers and become the final winner of ’Guess the Number.’

’Rabbit’ Han Mengying arranged for ’Mole,’ a player also from Community 4, to run an errand and deliver the list but ’Owl’ didn’t immediately give a response.

They could only continue waiting.

...

’Owl’ Lin Sizhi returned to his own lounge.

After receiving the candidate list from the Sage team, he decided to spend chips to check the consumption records of ’Rabbit,’ ’Sheep,’ and ’Mole’ respectively.

The ’Service Counter’ spit out long strips of paper, which Lin Sizhi took in his hands and examined carefully.

[Query Player: Rabbit]

[Preparation Phase:]

[Received 10,000 chips.]

[Spent 20,000 minutes of visa time to purchase 20,000 chips.]

[Phase 1:]

[0:28:44 Spent 2,000 chips to replenish oxygen.]

[0:57:37 Spent 2,000 chips to replenish oxygen.]

[0:58:26 Spent 1,000 chips to view ’Owl’s’ consumption record.]

[Phase 2:]

[1:01:33 Spent 20,000 minutes of visa time to purchase 20,000 chips.]

[1:24:38 Spent 2,000 chips to replenish oxygen.]

[1:25:44 Spent 1,000 chips to view ’Sika Deer’s’ consumption record.]

In the consumption records, there were only usage records for the ’Chip Exchange Machine’ and ’Service Counter’ functions, and it wasn’t possible to query all chip changes.

Including chips obtained from battles or chips obtained by opening wooden boxes, none of these were displayed on this record.

These records all looked relatively normal, and not much could be gleaned from them.

Lin Sizhi then looked at the consumption records of ’Sheep’ and ’Mole.’

[Query Player: Sheep]

[Preparation Phase:]

[Received 10,000 chips.]

[Query Player: Mole]

[Preparation Phase:]

[Received 10,000 chips.]

[Spent 20,000 minutes of visa time to purchase 20,000 chips.]

[Phase 1:]

[0:44:36 Spent 2,000 chips to replenish oxygen.]

[Phase 2:]

After reading these consumption records, Lin Sizhi considered for a moment, put these three long strips of paper in his pocket, and left the lounge.

After that, he first found ’Sika Deer’ to touch base, and then found ’Rabbit.’

”Our first choice is ’Sheep,’ we must get at least 35 vouchers from ’Sheep.’

”The agreed content on the Contract Vouchers is: players holding these vouchers must keep or consume the ‘Fool Cards’ in their hands through battles according to ’Sheep’s’ requirements. At the same time, ’Sheep’ must enter the final 5-person voting stage of ’Guess the Number’ and cannot withdraw from the selection.”

Hearing this condition, both ’Rabbit’ and ’Sheep’ fell into contemplation.

If the ‘Fool Players’ ignored the rules and wishfully thought that as long as they voted for the corresponding ’‘Sage Player’’ in the final stage they could happily share money through the Contract Vouchers, they would be completely wrong.

The ‘Sage Players’ internally could completely use withdrawal to make a certain player the only candidate. At that time, player voting would be completely useless but obviously, ’Owl’ and ’Sika Deer’ weren’t so easily fooled. They would inevitably add ’cannot withdraw from selection’ content to the Contract Vouchers.

After consideration, ’Sheep’ raised an objection.

”I can understand your concern that I’ll withdraw from the selection, but writing the Contract Vouchers this way is too harsh.

”I can only subjectively guarantee not to withdraw after entering the final voting stage, but I can’t guarantee I definitely won’t be eliminated before then.

”Because we don’t control all the ‘Fool Cards’ either. At most, I can control about 70 to 75 ‘Fool Cards’ with Contract Vouchers. ’Guess the Number’ itself has uncertainty.

”If I’m eliminated due to deviation in ’Guess the Number,’ according to the way you’re writing this Contract Voucher, wouldn’t that also be equivalent to me breaching the contract?

”In that case, I simply can’t afford to compensate several hundred thousand minutes of visa time and can only suffer instant death punishment.

”I know this possibility isn’t high, but I still can’t accept it.

”At most, I’ll only accept writing on the Contract Voucher: ’If ’Sheep’ enters the final voting stage, she cannot withdraw from selection.’”

’Owl’ didn’t intend to concede on this issue, ”If it’s written that way, you can still forcibly input the wrong number in the final round, causing yourself to be eliminated, thus achieving a de facto withdrawal.

”We have no way to supervise your number input behavior, and moreover, the numbers to be input are different each round, so we can’t use Contract Vouchers to forcibly stipulate that you must input a specific number.

”So how to persist until the final round’s voting stage is your own business.

”After giving out Contract Vouchers, you can directly control at least 70 ’‘Fool Cards’.’ If under these circumstances you still guess the number wrong, then I can only assume you did it deliberately.”

’Sheep’ looked at ’Rabbit’, ”This isn’t what we agreed on at the beginning. I’m indeed willing to create ’Contract Vouchers,’ but that doesn’t mean I’m willing to take on such great risk.”

’Owl’ looked at the two of them meaningfully, ”This is your internal problem. You can discuss it slowly.

”Of course, if you don’t agree to this condition, you can also think of other more constructive plans.

”But if you want me and ’Sika Deer’ to agree to a new plan, you’ll have to give us more benefits, but that’s difficult since there aren’t that many Contract Vouchers left to distribute.

”Or you can also choose to exit ’Guess the Number’ early.

”In any case, you decide for yourselves.”

’Owl’ turned and left, while ’Rabbit’ Han Mengying and ’Sheep’ began a new discussion.
