God's Imitator

’Hummingbird’ Luo Wei didn’t quite understand what this meant, ”Of course it’s to have the ‘Fool Players’ who accept the Contract Vouchers keep or use the ‘Fool Cards’ in their hands according to our requirements.”

’Sheep’ shook his head, ”Just that alone isn’t enough. The content of the ’Contract Vouchers’ must constrain the ‘Fool Players’, and naturally it must equally constrain the ‘Sage Players’.

”There are clever people among the ‘Fool Players’ too, they’re unlikely to accept one-sided terms.

”They’ll definitely demand that the players who create the ’Contract Vouchers’ must enter the final voting stage and cannot voluntarily withdraw from the selection.”

’Rabbit’ Han Mengying thought for a moment and said, ”Let’s negotiate first.

”If the ‘Fool Players’ don’t realize they should add a ’cannot voluntarily withdraw from selection’ clause to the ’Contract Vouchers,’ that would naturally be the best outcome for us, and we could win this game very easily.

”But ’Sheep’s’ concerns are reasonable. ’Owl’ and ’Sika Deer’ are both clever people, we can’t place our hopes on them making such a basic mistake.

”Let’s try negotiating first and see what their psychological price point is, then decide specifically who will create the ’Contract Vouchers’ and exactly how to write the conditions.

”Is anyone else willing to create ’Contract Vouchers’? They can serve as backups.”

Besides the members of Community 4, there were 4 other ‘Sage Players’ but the three people other than ’Sheep’ were all unwilling to create Contract Vouchers. The reason was simple, these ‘Sage Players’ definitely all had relatively large amounts of remaining visa time. If they gave out Contract Vouchers but failed to get the final prize pool, they would suffer huge losses.

For the players of Community 4, Han Mengying was the core, so they could naturally trust her unconditionally but the other ‘Sage Players’ came from different communities and were originally strangers to each other, so they couldn’t possibly trust ’Rabbit.’

’Sheep’ sighed and said, ”If needed, I can exchange enough Contract Vouchers to execute the strategy, but the prerequisite is that I must be guaranteed to receive greater benefits.”

For ’Sheep’ to make such a statement was already quite commendable.

’Rabbit’ Han Mengying naturally understood this point very well, and looked at ’Sheep’ with considerable appreciation, ”Good, I can make you that guarantee.”

She then looked at the other 3 ‘Sage Players’ who were neither from Community 4 nor willing to offer ’Contract Vouchers’, ”I can understand that you’re unwilling to mass-produce ’Contract Vouchers’ to execute the plan.

”However, if you want to continue receiving information about ’Guess the Number,’ or even want to share money from the final prize pool, you must exchange a small amount of Contract Vouchers with me, ’Hummingbird,’ and ’Sheep’ to create a binding of interests.

”Additionally, you’ll need to do the work: spread out as much as possible and lobby those ‘Fool Players’ who haven’t yet formed groups.

”If you’re neither willing to execute team strategy with us nor willing to exchange Contract Vouchers, then I can’t possibly continue sharing intelligence about the next round’s numbers with you.

”You can consider leaving this small group now and go pay off your debts.”

The other ‘Sage Players’ each fell into contemplation.

After a while, except for ’Dalmatian,’ the other two players chose to withdraw.

They didn’t explain their reasons. It might be that they weren’t optimistic about this plan, might be that they didn’t trust ’Rabbit,’ or it might simply be that they felt they had plenty of visa time and exchanging ’Contract Vouchers’ was too much of a loss.

With this, ’Rabbit’ Han Mengying’s small group had 5 ‘Sage Players’ and 1 ‘Fool Player’ remaining.

Among them, besides the 3 Sages from Community 4, ’Rabbit,’ ’Hummingbird,’ and ’Mole,’ and the 1 ‘Fool Player’ ’Turtle,’ there were also the two outsiders ’Sheep’ and ’Dalmatian.’

Everyone began executing the plan.

...

Meanwhile, as ’Owl’ was waiting for ‘Sage Players’ to come negotiate, even more players actively approached.

The male player wearing the ’Woodpecker’ mask and the female player wearing the ’Peacock’ mask came together.

’Woodpecker’ tentatively asked, ”Bluff? 0%?”

Lin Sizhi, wearing the ’Owl’ mask, looked at him, ”Your mask really suits your profession.”

’Peacock’ also said softly, ”One-vote veto?”

Lin Sizhi nodded again, confirming both their identities.

Obviously, ’Woodpecker’ was Zheng Jie, and ’Peacock’ was Qin Yao.

The two of them each mentioned a keyword from a representative event to verify their identities.

By now, many players had already realized that even if they couldn’t remove their masks or say their names and communities, they could still use this method to find players from the same community to form teams but the biggest difficulty was how to find the first person from their own community.

Zheng Jie and Qin Yao had obviously seen ’Owl’ organize a group of ‘Fool Players’ and guessed this might be Lin Sizhi, which was why they came forward to inquire.

Without such a benchmark, they couldn’t possibly go through all 40 people one by one exchanging code words.

Like ’Gray Wolf’ He Xiaojun, up until now he still hadn’t found the other player from Community 14.

’Owl’ Lin Sizhi asked, ”You two should both have gotten ’‘Fool Cards’,’ right?”

’Woodpecker’ Zheng Jie shook his head, ”No, I have a ’‘Sage Cards’.’”

This actually surprised even Lin Sizhi a bit.

’Woodpecker’ Zheng Jie hurriedly explained, ”This is mainly because ’Peacock’ and I encountered each other in the first round of the game.

”We tentatively exchanged code words and confirmed each other’s identities.

”I originally wanted to win two games each, but ’Peacock’ said her visa time was plentiful and she could exchange more, so in that game she let me win 5 rounds, earning me an extra 10,000 chips.

”It’s probably because of the win rate and chip factors that I was assigned to the ’Sage Player’ identity, right?”

’Owl’ Lin Sizhi said approvingly, ”Not bad, we’ve secured a ‘Sage Player’, which will greatly increase our strategic flexibility.”

’Woodpecker’ Zheng Jie asked, ”Do I need to go create Contract Vouchers now? But I haven’t figured out exactly what conditions to set for the Contract Vouchers.”

’Owl’ Lin Sizhi shook his head, ”Not necessary for now.”

Just then, a broadcast sounded again in the hall.

[A player has accused ’Owl’ of being the Imitator of this game.]

[System verification result: Incorrect.]

[The player who made the incorrect accusation will have 30,000 minutes of visa time deducted and transferred to the Imitator of this game.]

Many people cast concerned looks toward Lin Sizhi.

Lin Sizhi somewhat helplessly spread his hands, ”Do I really look that much like a bad guy?”

Not long after.

[A player has accused ’Sika Deer’ of being the Imitator of this game.]

[System verification result: Incorrect.]

[The player who made the incorrect accusation will have 30,000 minutes of visa time deducted and transferred to the Imitator of this game.]

Obviously, more irrational players had started gambling.
