God's Imitator

Yang Yuting thought carefully for a moment, ”In that case, I do have an idea.

”A female mechanical engineer or engineer, what do you think?”

Wang Yongxin thought for a moment, ”I do tend toward female players with science and engineering backgrounds. Other people in the community should be the same.

”Currently our community has too many liberal arts professions. Recruiting a pure science and engineering profession might be a good choice.

”I’ve also considered professions like architect before.

”What’s your reason for considering mechanical engineer or engineer?”

Yang Yuting sighed quietly, ”Two considerations, I suppose.

”On one hand, I think female players in these professions are indeed more reliable, relatively pragmatic, with a lower possibility of situations like Luo Wei’s and Jiang He’s occurring.

”On the other hand, it’s also to continue supplementing our community’s current knowledge structure.

”From ’King’s Judgment’ to ’Childbirth Judgment’, many games have started featuring more and more mechanisms.”Thinking about it, we made a very basic mistake in ’Childbirth Judgment’ before. We completely didn’t think that those mechanisms could be reused.

”Of course, from the post-game review, this was indeed a rather stupid error, also caused by the gender and mechanism mismatch, but regardless, not noticing is not noticing.

”If it were a profession more familiar with machinery, they might be able to think of this point more easily.

”Moreover, if it’s a similar profession, although she’s female, her physical fitness would most likely be more advantageous than average women, right?

”From what we can see now, there’s a probability of physical strength-related game segments appearing.

”A female player with better physical strength, although still can’t compare to male players, but if the mechanism is designed according to female player physical strength standards, can still easily open up a gap from average female players.”

Wang Yongxin considered for a moment, then nodded, ”Well, if we propose a female mechanical engineer or engineer, it should most likely pass.

”After all, people can only learn lessons from the most recent history.

”Our community’s recruitment is the same. Everyone will subconsciously correct errors from the last game, and can’t really look very far ahead.”

Yang Yuting was stunned, ”Hm? People can only learn lessons from the most recent history? What do you mean?”

Wang Yongxin explained, ”Oh, this is a concept from history.

”Simply put, after each unified dynasty is established, although they generally continue the previous dynasty’s systems, they also make some systemic corrections.

”But this kind of correction can often only target the previous dynasty’s problems. Sometimes it triggers some new problems.

”For example, the ’historical cycle phenomenon’ appears.

”Dynasty A makes a certain mistake leading to its downfall. Dynasty B learns this lesson and makes changes, then falls due to another lesson. Dynasty C learns Dynasty B’s lesson but returns to Dynasty A’s old path, falling for the same reason as Dynasty A...

”So there’s also a saying: ’The only lesson humanity learns from history is that it has never truly learned any lessons.’

”But there’s no helping it, because the future is still too vague and ethereal. Rather than overly caring about the future or the too-distant past, it’s better to only focus on the not-too-distant past.”

Wang Yongxin paused slightly, then continued, ”Besides this, recruiting this kind of person has another issue, which is... her ideology may not necessarily be closer to ours.

”If this new member recognizes Li Renshu or Cai Zhiyuan more, that would be a bit awkward.

”I need to think ahead about how to build goodwill in front of this new member, trying to get her to stand on our side more.”

Yang Yuting sighed quietly, ”If that situation really occurs, there’s no helping it.

”My first requirement for recruitment now is a reliable and stable teammate. As for which side she specifically stands on, I don’t care anymore.”

Wang Yongxin couldn’t say much, just consoled, ”Well, I understand.”

Obviously, this judgment game had frightened Yang Yuting considerably, to the point that currently for her, safety and stability trumped everything, with quite a tendency to want to give up this small group and completely place her fate in Li Renshu’s hands.

Wang Yongxin initially established this small group to better protect himself, to prevent being subjected to ”tyranny of the majority” through voting but as time passed, Li Renshu was recognized by more and more players in the community, and these external small groups naturally gradually collapsed.

Although Wang Yongxin was somewhat worried, he could only accept and understand this.

After all, when he had just come out of ’King’s Judgment’, he also had some PTSD tendencies. The desire for safety overwhelmed everything.

...

Three days later, morning.

Everyone had already finished breakfast, but still gathered in the hall. Some read books, while others were simply waiting.

Actually, yesterday morning some people were waiting, but after waiting and waiting, no new recruitment notice appeared on the large screen.

Obvious anxiety appeared on many people’s faces.

Fortunately, after waiting a while, the recruitment notice finally came.

[This community has a player vacancy. In 96 hours, the community will admit a new player for supplementation, becoming the new Player No. 2.]

Seeing this sentence, the heavy stone in many people’s hearts fell, but it also pressed down on their hearts.

Li Renshu’s expression was very serious, ”As expected, the time interval for each community recruitment keeps increasing.

”The first recruitment notice appeared the second day after the game ended. The second was on the third day after the game ended. This time is already the fourth day after the game ended.

”Not only that, the time for the new player to arrive at the community has also changed from the initial 24 hours to 48 hours, and now to 96 hours.

”Looking at the intervals between most game starts... before the next game begins, our community probably won’t be able to gather 12 people.”

Cai Zhiyuan had previously discussed this speculation with Lin Sizhi, and it seemed they guessed correctly.

The community couldn’t frequently recruit. Each interval kept getting longer.

Community 17’s player deaths were far below the average death count of other communities, yet there was still a personnel vacancy. Other communities with more weak players were even more so.

Li Renshu was also somewhat disappointed, but her emotions were relatively stable. She looked at everyone, ”According to our previously established principle, the community’s male-female ratio should still be maintained at 6:6, so this time we also need to recruit a female player.

”Regarding the new member’s profession, does anyone have any thoughts?”

Wang Yongxin looked at Yang Yuting. They had already discussed this question but before Yang Yuting could speak, Cai Zhiyuan spoke first, ”Regarding recruitment, I have some different views. Can we chat about them first?”

Everyone was somewhat surprised, but similar discussions had always been open for everyone to speak freely, so most people expressed tacit consent.

Cai Zhiyuan pointed at the large screen, ”No matter what kind of player we decide to recruit now, it will take 96 hours for them to arrive, which means it will definitely be after the next game.

”So there’s no rush with this matter.

”I even think we no longer need to use this method to recruit.”
