ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

However, it would seem that His Majesty would not get the chance to enjoy his snacks in peace, because of the guests that arrived. So in a sense, we just impeded its snack time. It even looked directly at us before it gazed at the crystal “bar” it was holding it its claws and then throwing it away like an unwanted toy after previously snapping it in half…… Oh, that’s some really sharp claws right there. For it to be able to go through crystal like it was nothing? That really speaks volumes.

「Golden scissors that can be even called swords at this point, forged by many different ores stacking on top of one another…… Somehow, I can really feel some levels of sympathy towards this creature.」

Then the Scorpion straightened its stance and smashed its tail against the ground while not letting its eyes off of us even for a moment…… Its stinger, or maybe it was even a sword as well, since it was way too thick now to be called a mere stinger, thrashes about the place, as if the King was making a declaration towards its enemies. Now, is it really okay for me to try and take this guy out? Sure, we might be enemies, but I do get a feeling that we are also going to be the best of friends if only you give us the chance to bond correctly. I mean, see how compassionate he seems about this whole ordeal?

「Hey, Sigma? Don’t you think that if we manage to defeat this thing it would also mean that we would be strong enough to basically stand against everything that your Papa thinks of you? Even if it would be something really bad? So it should be worth a try.」

「Question: Why are you assuming from the get-go the need for a violent solution?」

「You know, with the way in which humanity works, sometimes violence can be a greater argument than a hundred words essay. Especially if that violence is armored punch straight to the face.」

If you just want to start a fight with someone, you are way better just swinging your arms in the open instead of running your tongue. But anyways, it’s the start of the battle, so if you let me take the lead, then I’m going to abuse it from the very beginning! Now is the time I shall show the King of the Crustal Scorpions the results of all the farming I was able to get done up until this point in time!

Spear Warhead Javelin Mode, deploy! Now it’s time to refine, load, and release a warhead that specializes in the penetration with a single blow! And the enemy is already within the desired range! I’ll do acupuncture right between your eyebrows!!

However, the actions taken by the “Golden Age” were quite simple here. In other words, it used its “sword” on the tail as a shield to prevent the spear warhead from connecting. And that’s about it. Even though the “Stinger” should possess the most powerful penetration effect, it was blown away just like that. No damage done, no dents, no scratches, nothing.

「Come on, Sigma! When the “Golden Age” will be in a pinch, press on the attack! And start praying that it won’t have a change of heart and send its subordinates after us!」

「Report: damage sustained at seventy percent.」

「Ah, yes! Yes, that’s right, sorry about that! I forgot to give you a recovery potion!」

It’s like you are about to get killed with the very same treasure trove that you were trying to get your hands on! The sword scissors of the “Golden Age”” who have narrowed the distance by accelerating the horribly shaky movement peculiar to crustacean monsters, and then crush right into the exact spot where Sigma and I were standing at only a moment ago. Normally, individuals are incomparable, the attribute of the attack is not that of a crushing damage but a slashing damage of the sword, so even if we get caught in it once, it might prove to be fatal. And judging by the way those scissors were moving…… Your Majesty, that looks mighty sharp indeed!

「Sigma, switch to support and keep at it for now! I will go on and continue slashing away at it!」

「Roger that!」

Now, even though I might have said that, actually slashing this thing is pretty much of an impossible endeavor. Even if I make a Critical Hit against it, with my current greatsword, it would only suffer damage to its blade and that’s it. And I was putting all of my strength into those slashes, too! But how about this, then!?

GAZUN!!! There’s a sword falling down directly from above my head…… It’s confusing if you don’t differentiate it from the sword scissors, seriously. It looks like the Excalibur used by Rei-san’s sister Saiga-100, so let’s dub it “Holy Sword”, shall we? …… Yes, that’s right. From now on, “Holy Sword” it is.

The Holy Sword generated by the “Royal Gold Generation” pierces the side of the former Elder Crystal Scorpion. The sharpness is simply outstanding here, and that’s being said while the surface of the Elder Scorpion should be insanely hard.

「Finally, and opening! Now, let’s go and break this sucker to pieces!」

Let’s take out the Great Sword Duxalam and make it do some much needed work here! And of course, let’s not forget about adding some much needed reinforcement with the help of all other skills out there! With that being done and out of the way, we can finally get to the proper work! Uwah!? What the hell!? It’s hard!? No, it’s WAY TOO HARD!?

I know that this technically is not a Turn Based Strategy game, but if I were to hazard a guess here, then the next move of the King Scorpion should be “Royal Gold Generation”. It was apparently trying to keep us occupied while it was trying to get its “holy Sword” out of the ground where it was lodged in after all that thrusting and slashing. Overall it was something that was easy to avoid, but there were three swords in here that I needed to watch out for, and it was complicating the matters by quite a lot. So even if I managed to avoid one of them, there are still other two that I needed to concern myself with. Whoa there, are you going to fully deploy the sword scissors and try to give me a hug with it……!? However, before it managed to assemble the scissors properly, there was a rain of bullets that struck its side and stopped its movements in their tracks. Or at the very least it managed to slow the generation of the “Royal Gold Generation” slightly.

「Predicting effectiveness: almost nonexistent…… Isn’t this method way too barbaric?」

「This is what we call the bravery of the savage! This is the wildest form of courage out there, so spare me the comments! It looks strong and it makes you look strong at the same time!」

「Pointing out: are the barbaric tendencies and recklessness so staple when it comes to humans? Or is it something that humanity shares with the gods as well?」
