ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「So to make a long story short, everything inside of our inventories must have the information value assigned to it, which is called Magibites. And no matter if it’s a weapon, armor, a stone or a piece of junk, at least some value is always going to be there. 」

『───WONDERFUL. IT IS PRECISELY AS YOU SAY!』

Yeah, you can praise him all you want, but for someone like Bansai-san, who apparently has a knack for explaining things in a way that is easy to understand, it is nothing new. Of course, I keep that remark to myself, as saying that out loud would basically achieve nothing here.

So this means that we have to pack our inventories full of items and achieve a score of one hundred thousand magibytes with it, is that correct?

「So what, I should go? I mean, my value should be the highest among us all, right?」

「No, wait just a moment, Sanraku-kun. I would like you to hold your horses a little bit. It will do us no good if you are always being the first to do everything by yourself.」

「Eeehhh……?」

「First of all, I would like to know the general value for a player who has very few belongings to their name. Everyone, do we have someone amidst our rank whose inventory is almost completely empty?」

「Alright then, aside from some raw materials, I only have a few HP recovering potions left.」

The one who raised her hand was the Exploding Green Peas Sis who was out of bullets by throwing all the items at the monsters way back at the fourth layer and fifth layer, so it was actually no surprise that she would step out. When my sister stands on a pedestal set up in the center of the sixth layer, there was some sort of a counter that appeared right above her head.

「Three hundred and fifty.」

「Three hundred and fifty, huh……?」

「So, Exploding Green Peas sits at about three hundred and fifty, huh……?」

「Hey, umm…… We are still talking about Magibytes…… right?]」

Well, of course we are talking about Magibytes! What were you thinking? That we were perhaps talking about kilograms? That would have been downright rude! However, be that as it may, a three digit number is simply way too low. I was expecting something in the realm of four digit number at the very least. So, I guess that even if you were to fill your inventory to the brim with items, raw materials and recovery items simply are not going to cut it in here.

「Hmmm…… Alright then, I shall go next. But let me warn you in advance, I do not use all that much items on my own, so the number here might be a little bit bigger than your standard amount.]

When it comes to the Professor, him inventory consisted of various array of Recovery items, some weapons and armors to suit all kinds of different situations, and all sorts of raw materials from previously slain monsters…… So yeah, we can pretty much expect that the number here is going to be rather high.

「……Hmm, three thousand two hundred and eighty, not too shabby, if I do say so myself.]

「Professor, if I may be so bold: I expect that the number I am going to get is going to be higher than yours, even though I have fewer items in my inventory.]

「Hou? That’s certainly a bold claim indeed. What is your basis for it? Because surely you have one?]

「What if the number of Magibytes per item depends on the level of difficulty that came with obtaining those items? It would certainly justify that in some cases someone would get a way higher number than anyone else. Now, if we assume that statement to be true, even though I have fewer items in my inventory than you, my number should be greater, because some of those items are rare or were difficult to obtain…….」

And surely enough, after Bansai-san stepped onto the pedestal right after the Professor, the shared value of Magibytes in his inventory was displayed to sit at the value of four thousand and twelve, which was way higher than anyone else before him.

「Oh my, it doesn’t even exceed the value of five thousand……? Well, this is going to be way more troublesome than I might have initially expected it to be.]

「No, that’s not actually true. Because this current demonstration pretty much confirms your previous assumption. So if we were to fill our inventories to the brim with rare weapons, armors and items, breaking through the one hundred thousand Magibytes worth of information should be relatively easy…… No, it may still be a little bit problematic, but I guess that’s what the surrounding facilities are for, isn’t that right?」

『YES, IT IS EXACTLY AS YOU SAY. YOU CAN USE THE VARIOUS FACILITIES AROUND BEHEMOTH TO BUY ITEMS WITH SPECIAL CURRENCY THAT YOU HAVE EARNED SO FAR, OR WHICH YOU ARE GOING TO EARN IN THE FUTURE. THE CONTENT OF THOSE FACILITIES MIGHT BE LESS ENTERTAINING THAN THE ITEMS THAT LEVIATHAN HAS IN ITS STOCK, BUT DO NOT BE MISTAKEN: THEIR TECHNICAL VALUE IS ON THE SAME LEVEL IF NOT EVEN HIGHER. …… FUFUFU, IT’S REALLY NOSTALGIC FOR SOME REASON. AS IF THERE WAS SOME KIND OF COMPETITION OR RIVALRY CONNECTED TO THAT A VERY LONG TIME AGO. 』

Ahh, now I see, now I get it. So that was the reason why all those Type Men armors were displayed inside of the Leviathan like clothes in a shop. However, I do believe it should be mentioned that some of those items cannot be used outside of their respective ships, or that you must first conquer a certain amount of layers before you would be able to use those items without any limiters being placed on them. So I think in here it’s going to be the same case.

So, with all that being said and done.

「Alright then, I do believe that it stands to reason that Sanraku-kun should go next and boost the score here. After all, I expect his score to be the highest out of all of us gathered in here.]

「Yeah, yeah, just leave it to me.」

Oh, and won’t you look at that? Now everyone is paying attention to me all of a sudden, “Ivory” included…… Alright then, now let’s just make sure that everything sits comfortably in my inventory (plus Sigma’s inventory, of course) and let’s just jump onto that pedestal!

「Whoa there! Just how many digits are there？」

「One, ten, hundred……」

「That’s going to be way over ten thousand, isn’t it?」

『THE FINAL VALUE IS AS FOLLOWS: EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY SIX AND A HALF BILLION PLUS FIVE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY SIX MAGIBYTES WORTH OF DATA. THAT’S ALSO THE HIGHEST RECORD ACHIEVED IN THIS PLACE EVER.』

「Yeah, I kind of expected the number to be high, but for it to actually go THIS high?」

Weapons? Armors? Well, I guess that keeping a freaking mechas and a whole ass ship in your pocket does wonders to your score……
