ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

If it is indeed so, should we just aim for some other summit or should we join another party and help them out? As for the conclusion to that problem…… it came from the least expected side in this entire situation……

「…… What’s with this sudden shaking?」

「Rei-san, this is…… Could this be what I think it is……?」

「Huh? What do you mean?」

「It looks like Bansai-sensei’s guess here was half correct and half wrong! It looks like that what we are looking for is ready to come and attack us! And it is coming from the other side of the mountain!」

No way, could it be that this thing is actually getting ignored by the Swimming Mines and prioritizes attacking the unequipped Players……!? That’s a little bit of an overkill, don’t you think!?

「GURORORORORORORORORORORORORORORO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!」

「Whoa!? What the hell is that thing supposed to be!?」

「It’s a Panda Bear! See? What did I tell you!?」

「Oh yeah!? And have you ever seen a Panda Bear wearing a full set of heavy armor!? Because that’s a first for me, just for your information!」

No, this thing certainly looks like a bear, but that’s not a Panda! This is a monster with a completely jet-black bear fur worn over a white exoskeleton, and there are some truly splendid bamboo shoots crowning the top of its very head……!!!

「ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE YOU: THIS CREATURE IS THE VARIANT OF A PARASITE TENTACLE, AN EXISTENCE BASED OFF ON THE GRIZZLY BEAR. OR YOU COULD PERHAPS CALL IT A FUSION BETWEEN A GRIZZLY AND A PANDA. …… BUT THE GRIZZLY PARTS ARE THE DOMINANT ONES, AS FAR AS THINGS ARE CONCERNED.」

「And its name is Ling-Ling Khan!?」

She said that this thing was supposed to be fusion of two species! But the way I see it, this thing was turning out to be nothing short of an abomination that shouldn’t be even allowed to live! I don’t know what kind of evil genius thought about fusing a Grizzly Bear with a Panda Bear, and I don’t even want to know that!!

……Hmm? No, wait, parasite … tentacle …? I get a feeling that I have already fought a monster like that? But where? And when? Hmm, wasn’t that somewhere within the Rabbitz area all that time ago?

「ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN ON THAT SUBJECT: STRICTLY SPEAKING, THIS SPECIES IS CALLED “DOMINATOR GRIZZLY”, AND THE WAY IN WHICH THEY CAME TO BE COMES FROM THE FACT THAT THEY WERE DEFEATED AND COMPLETELY DOMINATED BY THE PARASITIC BAMBOO SHOOTS THAT NOW GROW OUT OF THEIR HEADS. BECAUSE AS A MATTER OF FACT, THOSE BAMBOO SHOOTS ARE THE SUBSPECIES OF THE PARASITE TENTACLES THEMSELVES……」

Yeah, it’s nice to be given a proper explanation like that and all, but can it actually wait until after the fight!? Because right now we are going to have our hands full with taking this thing down before it manages to destroy us!

Dominator Grizzly…… Ahh, screw it! I’m going to call it “Attacking Bear” for the sake of convenience! And that being said, this here Attacking Bear surely was not wasting any time for pointless chatter, going onto the offensive right from the get go. All of a sudden it rushed towards us, but even though we had to fight it, there was still the existence of Swimming Mines that we had to pay attention to. So we need to do this, but we need to do this without the use of our tools, armor and items…… Or there is another solution in here……!!!

「Rei-san! We need to end this, and we need to end this quickly!」

「…… R-Right!」

Does the danger of the weapon itself attract the Swimming Mines? But no matter! I’ll turn those bamboo shoots into grilled bamboo shoots before the Mines are going to overwhelm us!!!

「I’ll blow you away!!!」

Slashing wouldn’t work all that much in this situation, not if you would be unable to actually break through this monster’s thick armor. That’s why I equip my trusty Scorpion Gauntlets and Rei-san brandished her Iron Whip. Just like that, both of us jumped in front of the group, and rushed to make a short work out out this guy. Now get ready for battle!!

「Akitsu Akane! You don’t have to participate in the battle! Just watch out for any incoming Swimming Mines!」

「Don’t be stupid! Those thing can detonate with a single blow! Princess Dragon should also participate in the battle! That way she can be of much greater use to us!」

「Alright! Got it!」

「In that case, I will focus my actions entirely on supporting the rest of you! Are you fine with that!?」

「But aren’t you mainly a Paladin!?」

「No, look, appearances can be decieving! My specialization lies exclusively in Complete ans Complex recovery support!」

That’s complicated! Way too complicated for your own good! You should learn to make things clear and simple!

The Scorpion’s Gauntlets are large gloves that covers up to the elbow area on one’s hands, and the big thing is that it’s hard and tough. Tough enough to blast through that bear’s armor! …… And if need be, I’ll just crush those bamboo shoots or rip them off of this monster’s head!

「Alright! Let’s do this thing!」

I then hit my right fist with the correction of God’s Hand skill and then deliver a might blow on one of the armored plates covering the bear’s body. There was certainly a response there, and while watching the cracked outer shell shatter around the bear’s left elbow area and it continued to crack, being more fragile than I initially would have thought…… Wait, no! That’s not it! That’s not it at all!

「Nuooohhh!! Bamboo Spear!!」

「Sanraku-kun!!」

The fur exposed from the crushed side rises up, and then sharp bamboo spikes breaks through the flesh and skin of the monster and fly towards me…… and I managed to avoid those bamboo javelins at the last possible moment. No, I thought I managed to avoid them, but I did not! At this rate they will scoop out a huge portion of flesh from my side…… But wait, it doesn’t hurt? And I’m not losing any HP? What the hell?

「Thanks for the Healing!!!」

「Try hitting this thing right to the face! It might seem more plausible to aim at other parts of its body, but maybe you will trigger some additional effects that way! But we need a small team to verify this before anything else!」

Yeah, you can count on me for that! And you, you stupid bear! I will make you regret the fact that you did not manage to one-shot-kill me where I stand! So brace yourself, you Attacking Bear! Because your end is drawing near……

「Yeah, go figure…… The damage here is pretty negligable, at least when compared to the knock back effect.」

「………」

It would be a lie if I was to say that I didn’t feel anything when I compared myself to Rei-san, who continued to press her assault without a single moment of actually letting go.
