“Multiple Circumferential Exercise “Orbit Movements”

A mysterious skill that possesses a long recast time and a time penalty for cancelling the skill while it is still mid-effect. However, long recast and penalties are all but made up for with the Orbit movements that this skill allows its user to perform.

The cancellation condition is not related to a circumferential movement in the slightest…… In the first place, if you would ever want to use it, you would best do it only if you were in a serious pinch, but once you use it you need to make sure that you are going to maintain the offense at all times without actually trying to avoid anything. So it’s actually a skill that you would do best to learn to live without it instead of learning to rely on it all the time. Such a thing is only going to cause you trouble down the line.

I thought that the “attack” was a concept based on moving around your enemy, but if the dodgeball is the basis for those skills, then it is probably a movement to cope with the ball rotation made by the enemy team’s attack and something that is limiting your field of view.

· Spiral Securing Behavior “Screw Hand Catch”

A skill that lets you predict the trajectory of the incoming ball and guard against it and catch it if need be, so in reality it is a skill that combines both Parrying mechanic and a Grab mechanic.

As an example of verification in the actual battle, it was possible to move while using this skill, and then grasp the ball from the Conquest Doll’s hands and kick it to the stomach and send it flying away. From there, I would seem like there would be no further problems, but there was one: the problem is that it is not possible to feel a size of the projectile that you are about to grasp with your hands, or to judge its power accordingly. But it would seem that as a kind of apology for that this skill is also equipped with a slight damage reduction effect. So using this skill might actually become mandatory in the future, but only if you are wearing some sort of glove equipment first that would end up supporting this skill. It would certainly raise its effectiveness tremendously.

· Secondary Defense Behavior “Columnar Damage Cut”

This is a guard skill that relies on strengthening the attack power after making a successful guard. It mainly shines in situations where you are forced to protect your party members from a sudden threat, so I would say that it would have its share of uses, but overall would not mesh all that well with me. It would be a whole different story if it accentuated the lone wolf playstyle, but I guess that you can’t just have skills that have them all, you know?

So in summary this here was the only skill for use with your bare hands, and even though it had some damage reduction to it, I wouldn’t really count on it all that much. But I guess that with enough HP and Strength to back you up it wouldn’t be that much of problem, but for me it would be of no particular use since I have my Levin Trigger / Disaster Hand.

· Relative Stereoscopic Exercise “Solid Maneuver”

This is the skill that I would really like to say that is “Okay”, because it lets you stay on the move while simultaneously being able to avoid the enemy’s attacks, all the while making the avoidance process half—automatic.

However, that half-automatic part seems to be the greatest problem in here. No matter if its in mid-air or on the ground, the half-automatic process will always register the attack incoming your way, so it’s something that is quite a bit different from normal avoidance where you can choose where you want to evade them. So in a sense, isn’t that a little bit stupid?

Moreover, since the effects of this Multiplicity Circumferential Movement “Orbit Movement” can be used simultaneously, it can be used for urgent avoidance against multi-stage attacks, and you can change the trajectory of the circumference by switching to the offensive whenever you want.

From all this, a simple conclusion can be drawn here: Maxwell Dodge Arts is a capable set of skills, but not the one without its shares of drawbacks. If you’re going to enter the template of a frontline lightweight warrior, those skills would turn out to be really good especially if you were to combine them with some tanking techniques that can be used to protect your allies and avoid taking damage yourself.

「Yeah, I’m so glad that I decided to stick to this thing, and not ended up choosing those Ninja Arts……」

The flash memory drive is already using two frames, so if I was to try any more skills, I would soon hit the limit. So depending on the way in which Maxwell Dodge Arts perform in the actual combat, I will make a decision if I want to keep on using them or maybe throw them away.

So what happened as a result of acquiring such a capable skill? Once I did that, some sort of a rare, maybe even prototype Conquest Doll fell from the ceiling. So I guess that I need to use those freshly obtained skill in order to beat the living crap out of that Doll, huh? …… But wait, wouldn’t that setting make this battle almost as difficult as the one with the Orchestra? Does that mean that I will have to redo it over and over again?

After all, it is the most urgent business for me to just unveil the mystery behind the Orchestra, so I do not want to suffer any more setbacks because of some stinking obligatory boss! But that being said……

「Since I never had that many Attacks Skills to my name I am not really all that experienced with using them, but it sure takes quite a lot of you to utilize them properly, huh……?」

「THIS WAS TRULY A WONDERFUL BATTLE, SANRAKU…… AND I DO BELIEVE THAT CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER HERE. THIS MAKES IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO GO TO ANDREW JITTER DOLL’S LAB WITHOUT ANY ISSUE. I THINK THAT YOU SHALL FIND THAT EXCURSION VERY INSIGHTFUL, AS HE WAS ONCE A MAN WHO USED TO LEAD THIS WHOLE BEHEMOTH.」

「Alright then, so…… where is this lab supposed to be located?」

Turning around and casting a glance towards Sigma, I can no longer see a brave Conquest Doll that she used to be. Instead, I see someone who looks as though she was about to burst into tears.

「ELMA=317, IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY OPERATING ON THE ASSUMPTIONS OF THE CONTRACT FORGED AS PART OF THE RECONQUISTA PLANSHOULDN’T IT BE NATURAL FOR YOU TO ACT SOLELY ON THE DESIRES OF YOUR MASTER BEFORE YOUR OWN FEELINGS?」

「…… Positive affirmation.」

「THEN IN THAT CASE YOU NEED TO ACT QUICKLY. UNCE UPON A TIME, I WAS ALSO A DREAMER AND A HOPELESS ROMANTIST WHO COULD NOT HELP MY DEAR ANDREW WHEN IT COUNTED THE MOST. YOU HAVE COME INTO THIS VERY LAB TODAY SO THAT YOU DID NOT HAVE TO REPEAT THE SAME KIND OF A MISTAKE. THAT, AND ––––––」

「Say, “Ivory”? Can I excuse you for a moment really quick?」

「WHAT IS IT, SANRAKU? I SHALL ANSWER ANY QUESTION YOU MAY HAVE, AS LONG AS IT’S IN MY CAPACITY.」

「What’s the language that was used the most at the time of Behemoth’s creation? Was it English? Or maybe something else?」

「…… HUH? I’M AFRAID THAT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE INTENTION BEHIND THIS QUESTION. …… YES, WHY THE MAJORITY OF THE BEHEMOTH’S SYSTEMS WERE BUILD WITH ENGLISH LAUNGUAGE IN MIND, BUT IF WE TAKE INTO THE ACCOUNT THE TIMES IT WAS CONSTRUCTED, THEN I DO BELIEVE THAT RUSSIAN WOULD BE THE BEST POSSIBLE CHOICE HERE.」

Ahh, I see, I get it now. Russian, huh? Russian language it is, you say?

「Then if it is like so, wouldn’t that make it your native tongue? Listen here, because it’s really important: I really need words to match their meaning…… Okay, you listening to me, you “Ivory”, the “Mother of All Players”? Learn to read the fucking room before you do anything else!!!」

Okay, listen here, you big piece of junk! Good intentions are nice to have and all that, but if you do not learn how to read the room, then they can do nothing more but to backfire on you really bad! If you don’t struggle to improve your sensitivity for things like that right now, then you might not even get the chance to do that later on!

And that is exactly why……

「Hey, there, you chatterbox? Could I ask you keep silent for a moment or two?」

「–––––––––––––––」

If you are present in the global multi-international environment, it’s easy to meet different people of different cultures and interact with them even easier than ever before. And games are the perfect environment for such a thing. Even more so with the implementation of Full Dive system into life. But it’s also not all that great of the environment at the same time, mainly because you need to be fluent in a foreign language if you wish to communicate with people from abroad.

However, it seems that Russia, which surprisingly enough has also existed in the world of ShanFro at some point and seems to have used the same language as we were right now, made it possible for my words to be transmitted to “Ivory” and properly understood. And as a result the “Ivory” face transitioned from the expression of the “Mother” to the expression of the “Teacher” in but a single moment.

And hopefully, nothing more would needed to be said in here right now. Hopefully “Ivory” would just keep silent and read the mood that was currently filling the room. That would be great. We don’t need you to say anything more, we just need you to keep quiet and watch us do all the work.

「Goodness gracious…… Listen up, Sigma. We know that it’s scary to face the truth. We all know that all too well. So you just need to accept it.」

「That is…… No, you are right. I can see it clearly now. And I am capable of performing the act of self-judgement now.」

I think that this is all the answer that I possibly could have wanted in here…… It would honestly be really hard to actually deliver a more convincing answer than this one.

So in other words, it’s a Unique Scenario time! And it’s not only that! It will be a Unique Scenario related to the Mecha Girl, so it will technically be something similar to the dating sims! I just hope that the game’s systems won’t change just for that to adapt themselves to the occasion! Not to mention that at the current moment I am standing at the literal crossroads, not really sure what needs to be done in order for me to actually clear a conquest like that!

But at this rate, doesn’t it feel like something truly important is going to be missed here? In the first place, I did not think that there would be any need to think about such a good sensitivity because it was not necessary to bother myself with something like that to begin with. …… Ahh, no, that’s not good, that’s not good! Even if I try to think about an excuse right about now, nothing good really comes to my mind!

In a nutshell, I have the utmost confidence in Sigma and I believe that she has it in herself to get over it on her own, but I just can’t possibly get myself rid of the mentality filled with worry: “Is she really going to be alright?” Not to mention that if she was to actually get over it, she would have to do it in a fairly short amount of time, as well. ……If we won’t manage to gather any useful information in here at all, the situation is going to develop with some new nasty flags being raised. So we really need to gather our intel. It doesn’t have to be much, but we need for that intel to count. But then, is the CG Recovery even possible? ShanFro is that kind of a game where you are only allowed to have one save data per file, so save scumming and returning to the past is something that is not allowed.

「……There! Fishy! Smells fishy! Way too fishy!!!」

「W-What!? What happened!?」

「Hey, “Ivory”!” Would you be so kind as to leave Emul, Sigma and myself alone for a minute out there!? Much appreciate it!」

「Huh!?」

I could feel that Rei-san was casting a glance at me right now, but at this point in time do not even know in what way I should have responded to that look. But maybe, just maybe…… was she hinting that Sigma should have recognized all of her problem herself and preferably deal with them herself!? But wouldn’t that basically be like trying to persuade someone while using a thousand words when you could have easily done so while using only a hundred of them? If so, let’s pay more attention in the future to the affection meter and save us some much troublesome thinking!

「Question: Where exactly?」

「You see, that…… We still need to figure this one out……」

This is a kind of routine for this iteration of Sanraku at this point in time. And even though I sometimes might not know what to do exactly, that’s what my wonderful friends are for! To help me out in my hour of need!
