Epic Of Caterpillar

Chapter 2640 - 2641: Unwelcomed Visitors

-----

”Good night, Frank, have sweet dreams.”

”Y-Yeah… Thanks…”

Frank noticed that Michael simply watched the city through the windows in silence, without sleeping.

”You donʼt sleep?”

”I donʼt really need to… Iʼll watch over your house at night, so you donʼt have to worry about uninvited guests trying to do anything funny.”

”Thank you…”

Frank slowly fell asleep.

Today was sure a long day, and longer ones were to come…

The world around him constantly shifted, changed, transformed.

It would never truly be like it once was, or like he remembered.

This parallel world had already greatly diverged from its original timeline, becoming its own thing.

Even more, as visitors from other worlds continued to appear here…

”I finally made it… So is this the world beyond those Dimensional Walls?”

A white-haired child with golden eyes glanced around the city on top of skyscraper, behind him was his mother, with a white and yellow sun-shaped halo floating above her head, her eyes looking unfocused.

”What a strange city… But my children, the humans, live very peacefully here… I am in awe! And thereʼs… no vampires to be seen either? How wonderful. A new world for the taking… I can rebuild my utopia once more here!”

The young boyʼs eyes showed the tenacity and greed of an ancient being, completely unrelated to his appearance.

”However… my power is very weak here… I need to slowly recover it.”

He looked at the night sky.

”And I also sense… a lot of disgusting auras… So there are indeed vampires here, and other disgusting things… I must get rid of them for my perfect utopia… I must CLEANSE this place.”

He smiled confidently, as holy, spiritual beings manifested behind him, resembling eyeballs with many feathered wings and halos shaped like suns.

”Vampire King Noah, so this is where youʼre hiding, huh? Iʼll make sure to hunt you down for good. Youʼll pay for having taken away my world from me… Heh.”

As he smiled confidently, suddenly, his smile changed, becoming more serious, noticing someone walking behind him.

”My lord…”

”You again…?”

He glanced behind him, finding a handsome young man with long blue hair and sharp crimson eyes, wearing a black suit.

Despite being a human, his scent was unmistakenly…

”What do you want now?”

”I am very happy youʼve managed to reach the next stage, youʼre slowly acclimating to this world, yes?”

”I am… But I still lack the power.”

”I am well aware… Soon, another part of your power should arrive. The body we prepared for you is more fitting, is it?”

”It is… But why?”

”…Come again?”

”Why are you filthy Vampires helping me?”

”…”

”You must want something back, I doubt youʼre helping me out of the goodness of your hearts. Is it not?”

”…Indeed.”

Suddenly, several threads appeared around the manʼs hands, as he smiled.

”What we desire can only be obtained here… With your help. I hope that you will be able to eventually repay our favor.”

”…Hmph, I am not as heartless or cold as you vampires, I keep my word. But for now… I require more strength. Until then, watch out. Noah and his family are here.”

”We are well aware, weʼll continue preparing then. Oh right, the Demons seem quite interested on this world as well. They wanted to speak with you about negotiations.”

”Demons now…? Hmm…”

The young boy considered simply rejecting them, but right now, he would greatly benefit from their help for his great scheme to come into fruition.

”What do they want?”

”Human souls.”

”…”

The young boy squinted his eyes.

”A fine price to pay for helping me build my utopia… They better offer me something good in exchange.”

”But of course. I wouldnʼt have suggested them if they didnʼt.”

”Then letʼs go, hurry.”

”Yes, over here, my lord.”

The young boy walked downstairs back to his house, his ”mother” following him around like a silent drone, her eyes unfocused.

As he entered his apartment, there was someone sitting on a couch already, surrounded by three other bodyguards.

He looked like a young man, perhaps on his early twenties, with short red hair, lazy-looking red eyes, and piercings all over his body, alongside tattoos. While wearing a red colored suit and black shoes, he resembled a young yakuza.

His bodyguards were three huge, muscular men, who remained there in silence, with glowing red eyes and powerful auras… and yet, they couldnʼt compare to their bossʼ aura.

”So youʼve finally come to greet me… Iʼve been waiting for like an hour, you know? Fascinated with the view?”

”…”

The young boy, wearing white suit, slowly walked in front of the man and sat down over a couch.

”State your business, demon.”

”Heh… You know pretty well I am no simple demon, right? Doesnʼt my aura tell you who I am?”

”…King of Sloth, of course I know you. You and your ilk were the reasons why I closed my world from the outside universe.”

”Hmm~ And that world is now free for the taking, how does that make you feel?”

”If youʼre here to provoke me, youʼre not walking out of here alive, demon.”

”Ohh, scary~ the baby can talk, haha…”

”…”

”Here.”

The demon showed the young boy something, a small red colored pill.

”Whatʼs that? A red pill?”

”Yes, itʼs a pill. Something Iʼve been developing back home… itʼs called Euphoria. Itʼs an amazing Elixir that can make demons really strong… imagine that on humans now. Youʼre lacking in forces, right? Well, weʼre both lacking.”

”…So?”

”I suggest we work together making these, and we build up a big army to take down the bastards here, then… Um, letʼs split the world, huh? How about it?”

”Split? No, itʼs mine, all of it…”

”Now thatʼs unrealistic… youʼre not the only one aiming for it, you know~”

”…I will consider it. Only if you offer me the recipe.”

”Hoh… Fine~ Letʼs play then. Maybe the baby will change his mind once he sees what we can do then~! But youʼre giving us some of that power too. What you did to that woman… teach it to us too.”

”Hmph… Alright, itʼs a deal, demon.”

”Thank you for your preference…”
