Chapter 2622 The Decision Of The Abandoned Angels

Once Frank walked out of the Trial carrying the Celestial Mark of Humility within his Soul, titled an Angelic Knight of Humility, he talked with Michael.

He was still adamant about bringing her with him, and quite possibly also all the other angels that were with him.

However, even with his honest words, it wasnʼt as if they could ever believe that to be possible at all.

”You truly intend to bring me with you? Youʼve been given the Mark of Humility... I can tell youʼre a very generous and good-natured person... But...” Michaelʼs voice became weaker, her strong aura was diminishing. Her words held great reason. Whatever Frank could do, nothing would work.

Their Father had sealed them down in these statues, slowly having their power disappear while living an eternity without being able to do anything.

All because of their paranoid father...

Frank could clearly recall when Michael talked about that.

”My brothers and sisters... We were sealed away by Father, after he became paranoid we couldnʼt serve him well after our brother betrayed him... Our love and loyalty to him would never cease... and yet... he chose to not trust us.”

Apparently, whoever was this brother that betrayed him, they were punished because of him, something Frank felt completely unfair.

”I donʼt think itʼs possible... Our power has grown weaker... With my brothers and sisters... We will go on an eternal slumber, forevermore.”

”No... I said I wouldnʼt let that happen, didnʼt I? You have another purpose, I know you have! To just sit down here, accepting your fates... Doesnʼt that make you feel frustrated?! And youʼre even being framed for something you didnʼt do! It was your brotherʼs fault, not yours! And yet you were sealed here, left to die?!”

After Frank said those words filled with truth, for a moment, he felt a slight reaction from all seven statues, their auras glowed a tiny little bit.

Only a small glow, barely noticeable, but that he was able to notice quite easily thanks to his new Celestial Mark of Humility, which somehow made him feel connected with them.

More than just emotionally.

Yes.

Despite them accepting their fate... Deep down, they wished for something different. The angels didnʼt want to just die, of course not.

”You were created for a higher purpose, to protect people right? To protect civilizations... Maybe? I mean youʼre angels! I am not trying to make you think youʼre above your Father but... He was clearly manipulated by his own

paranoia. Maybe he wasnʼt himself! Have you never stopped to think that for a single second?!”

”...But Frank, how... how do you plan...?” Michael muttered.

FLASH!

Suddenly, they felt something.

All the Angels, their faint, dissipating souls, their auras.

They felt Frankʼs power manifesting, the power of Humility spreading around him.

”Please, I just need you to trust me...” Frank said, his hand shining brightly, showing the Celestial Mark of Humility as he released radiant light. ”Come with me. And Iʼll let you have a purpose beyond the void of death.”

Frankʼs entire aura, even his personality changed.

That trial made him change even more than before.

His aura, they could feel him, his emotions, his sincerity.

The angelsʼ statues began glowing, their power rushing out of the stony seal.

”M-My siblings?! Wait, are you actually agreeing with him?! But...!” Michael was surprisingly the one that resisted the temptation the longest. But her brothers and siblings, who were even more weak, didnʼt want to die. They wanted to hold onto any hope for a better life, for a greater purpose. To talk with their father one day and ask him why he did the things he did. And if his paranoia had only worsened, or healed...

”Michael, come with us.”

”Donʼt stay behind, big sister.”

”As the Wandered of the Stars said, maybe we are destined to something greater.”

”Perhaps these are our sins...”

”But after being sealed and betrayed for so long, are we even the same angels we once were?”

”Call this arrogance if you want... but I donʼt want to die like this.”

Hearing her siblings, Michael sighed.

”Michael! Please...! Let me save you.”

Frankʼs eyes turned gold, as Michael glanced at him, at his aura that

represented not only Humility, but the stars beyond.

The beings that surpassed Universes completely, the Overseers of stars, worlds,

and universes.

The descendant of such a being, stranded in a small world...

He was one of a kind.

Someone that could turn the entire universe upside down.

But he was still too young, too unexperienced.

He needed guidance.

Towards the correct path.

Michael remained in silence for a few seconds, as she realized that perhaps...

Perhaps her journey wasnʼt over yet.

FLUOSH!

Her Aura surged from the statue, shaping into a beautiful and graceful angel

with long golden hair.

”I will entrust upon you our souls, Wanderer of the Stars...”

Her hand reached Frank, as he touched her by extending his own.

FLAAASH!

And then all the Angelic Souls flew towards Frankʼs hand, the Celestial Mark of Humility within it rapidly absorbed them.

And then, Frank felt an immense power coursing through his entire being, while

the statues of the angels collapsed into pieces one after another.

”T-This power...! Itʼs incredible... I just planned to bring you with me but this

is...?!” Frank gasped. ”Is this okay for you?”

”Itʼs fine, young man.”

”Carry upon our strength...”

”We are... very tired, however...”

”The transportation of souls was a success...”

”We have a vessel that can hold our souls, someone like you, the son of an

Overseer... is certainly enough.”

”But... weʼre tired...”

The souls of the angels, one after another, suddenly went silent, falling into a

deep slumber due to their exhaustion.

”W-Wait, youʼre going to sleep?” Frank was a bit taken aback. ”And-”

RUMBLE!

However, interrupting his thoughts, he noticed the cathedral beginning to

crumble down.

He saw through the open windows, the desolate world around it was also being

consumed by nothingness.

”W-What the hell?!”

”Frank! Hurry! To the portal! This is a temporary Realm created by our Father,

without us holding it together, it is collapsing upon its own weight and being consumed by the Sea of Nothingness!”
