Chapter 2615 - 2616: Changing Job Class

-----

”If Elfina could summon her again, perhaps we could talk with her…? Or maybe I can trace her. I wonder if the traced version is just the same person or… a copy?”

Frank had a lot of questions honestly, but no way to receive quick answers… He glanced at his Clone as it worked in silence for a moment, then at other skills and his high stats.

”Hmmm, this clone is rather different than the ones I can make using Light.”

For example, the Light Clones are not connected to his growth and therefore wonʼt make him stronger.

They are even more primitive magical constructs, and although they can move as he wishes and even take over their movements to control them like puppets, they are quite weak.

Usually, he uses them as distraction, or to help him conjure wide-range magic spells that would need more than just one person.

As he continued seeing his status, then…

”…Zenith of Wrath, huh?”

Frank squinted his eyes as he glanced at that Title, and wondered what it could truly mean. This explosive, self-destructive power he had used against Medea still was there.

The Title made him a Zenith of Wrath, and even the [Wrath] and [Wrathful Heart Transformation] Skills were still there!

”Ugh… Theyʼre Level 2 already? When did they even Leveled Up?”

Frank felt slightly weird, so he decided to just ignore it for now, and moved on to something else.

Changing classes!

Confirming his stats had increased a lot and that his skills were looking great, he immediately went for them, checking what he could get now.

Ding!

[You have reached Max Level, and you qualify to Rank Up your Job Class!]

[Showcasing Job Class Rank Up Options…]

[Demonic Berserk of Wrath]

[Mythical Spirit Slayer]

[Angelic Spear Knight]

[Null Magician]

[Magical Namer]

[Monster Tamer]

”Hmm, some new classes and… Some that I already saw before. Seems like a one of them changed too. Angelic Spear Knight was… Holy Lance Knight? Or something. And the new one is… Yeah.”

Frank glared at the Job Class he was 100% never taking.

[Demonic Berserk of Wrath]

It felt like it was there just to tempt him.

And how these things worked, whenever he didnʼt pick a class, it would definitely appear again next time.

So this damned class will probably haunt him for the rest of his life!

”Fucking hell…”

He sighed, facepalming in annoyance, Frank quickly made a mental scratch of that class, looking at the others.

”Angelic Spear Knight… I would take it if White was intact, but I canʼt really… Wait.”

He quickly thought about it, what if this class could help him revitalize the traced spear?

Every traced weapon was stored as a ”Magic Tracing Graph” inside of his Soul Armory.

The Magic Tracing Graph of White had not disappeared, it was merely damaged, glitching.

But it wasnʼt gone.

One way to heal it was by simply tracing the same weapon again.

But if Elfina couldnʼt summon them right now then…

He tried to read the class description, but he didnʼt get anything helpful, aside from being told it ”specialized on the usage of holy, angelic, and spiritual spear weapons, or spear weapons in general too”.

”Hmm… The other options donʼt seem that attractive to me. I guess… Well, I mean, they arenʼt bad either… Monster Tamer is interesting.”

Apparently with the Monster Tamer Class he would be able to ”improve and strengthen the bonds of his monsters with him” so they could probably share abilities or magic temporarily.

And also, expanding the Area where the Tamed Monsters go while being absent in the real world.

It was also quite tempting, all things considered.

”Ugh… Ah, screw it!”

However, Frank was moved by the desire to recover White and speak to that angel, who was both stunning and seemed to know about his past.

Ding!

[You have selected the [Angelic Spear Knight] Job Class Rank Up!]

[Youʼre being transported to the designated area…]

”Transported to what…?!”

FLAAASH!

In that moment, Frank was engulfed by bright light.

And no, it wasnʼt from Ruby.

”Huh?”

As he slowly opened his eyes, he found himself inside an abandoned temple.

”W-Where… where am I?!”

The temple looked… rather ruined, in fact, as Frank looked at it more clearly… It resembled something like a huge cathedral.

The falling roof was painted beautifully with ancient medieval painting depicting winged people flying into the sun, and people below raising their hands towards them.

”This place…”

Frank walked around, feeling a strange sense of… sorrow and abandonment.

By walking around this place, he could already tell that it once was full of people, full of life.

A legacy of winged people, of…

”Angels?”

He stopped in front of a broken statue depicting a winged woman holding a balance.

Then, as he looked at the statue, he realized there were several more lines around her.

In total, they were seven of them.

”What happened to this place? And why am I here? This is the first time Iʼm allowed to move to another place… or world, and itʼs some random place because I picked a weird Class?”

As Frank wondered these things, he sat down and looked around, waiting for something to happen.

”Canʼt I go back home?”

As he wondered that, feeling a little annoyed and sad…

”A mortal? It has been eons since Iʼve seen one.”

A small voice echoed behind him.

”Hm? Is someone there?”

Frank glanced at where the voice came from.

However, he received nothing but silence once more.

”Hello?”

As he looked around and then glanced at the statue of the woman.

His eyes widened.

”Wait, thatʼs… It looks a lot like her, does it? Youʼre… White?”

The statue, which was missing an arm and a part of her torso, suddenly glowed.

Her empty, stony eyes shone bright gold.

”White? Thatʼs not my name.”

”Y-You can talk…?!”

”Yes… Whatever is left of me can talk.”

”If youʼre not White… then… Who are you?”

The statue paused for a moment, but then her eyes glowed brightly again.

”My Father gave me a name, Michael.”
