Epic Of Caterpillar

Chapter 2637 - 2638: Special Dropped Items

-----

Ding!

[You have equipped the [Fire Bear Tyrant Gloves (??? Grade)]!]

[Your Physical Strength and Physical Defense has increased by 15%.]

[Your Fire Magic Power and Fire Attribute Resistance has increased by 30%.]

[You can now conjure {Blazing Bear Tyrant Claws}, dealing 200% Damage based on 50% of your Strength and Magic Stats, dealing Fire-Attribute Magic, ignoring 20% of a foeʼs defenses or fire attribute resistances. Consumes Mana.]

”Not bad… Itʼs like a skill but itʼs also equipment, like the ring that offered me protection against darkness…” Frank said. ”Though theyʼre a bit too warm… Iʼll leave them in invisible and… Iʼll do this.”

Frank clicked some things in the system, enabling the ”auto equip” option, which automatically equips selected equipment when fighting or being attacked, this way heʼs not annoyed with it.

Although he can turn equipment invisible, the feeling of them being there remains all the same, and he didnʼt want to feel his hands hot and sweaty during the whole day, if possible.

”Very interesting indeed,” Michael nodded. ”Thereʼs this as well…”

Using her spiritual form, she grabbed something dropped by the bear, they were blue colored jewels, six of them, alongside a red colored orb.

The jewels, Frank knew well about them, but the orb was new.

”These are Otherworldly Magic Crystals,” said Frank. ”They have Otherworldly Mana, which can help me develop my Mana Core. It is from Terra, that world I visited which I canʼt go back to anymore. The System is supplying me with these crystals now… I guess to make up for not being able to go back for now.”

”I see, and the orb?” She asked.

”No idea…” Frank saw, looking at it more closely. ”Huh? Thereʼs… the silhouette of a fiery bear inside.”

-----

[Fire Bear Tyrant Soul Orb (??? Grade)]

An orb made of crystalized soul essence of the Fire Bear Tyrant Monster species.

It contains their fiery soul and power and can be used to enhance or upgrade equipment or skills.

Simply place it over a compatible piece of equipment to use the orb into it and enhance it or grab it with your hand to use it to upgrade or possibly evolve a skill.

Depending on compatibility, it might or might not work on the recipients chosen, consecutive failures might break the orb, resulting in an unusable product.

-----

”Itʼs like that…”

Frank showed Michael the description, as she nodded.

”Interesting, so you can use it to upgrade equipment or a skill… Canʼt you use it on your gloves?”

”Maybe… I donʼt really have any other piece of equipment I could use it… And using it on a skill might be risky. I donʼt really want to imbue the power of a fire bear in any skill right now.”

”Then enhance your gloves… or save it for later.”

”Hmm…”

Frank thought for a moment about what to do.

He could probably sell this for a nice price in the clanʼs market and net a lot of points or real-life money if he wanted.

Or he could further upgrade those great gloves and gain an even stronger piece of equipment…

And well, there was a third option that would net nothing for him, which would be giving it to a friend out of goodwill, helping them enhance or upgrade their equipment so they can fight better, and survive better too.

”Ah, Iʼll do what I want then.”

He quickly grabbed the orb and placed it over the gloves!

FLUOSH!

The orb rapidly turned into red light into the only glove he selected, but the second glove seemed to also be affected. Although they were two separate pieces of cloth, both were the same item for the system.

The gloves changed, gaining more fur-like texture, and in each finger, Frank saw large black bear claws appear, blazing with flames!

”Woah…!”

Ding!

[You have used the [Fire Bear Tyrant Soul Orb (??? Grade)] on the [Fire Bear Tyrant Gloves (??? Grade)]!]

[The equipment is greatly compatible! The [Fire Bear Tyrant Gloves (??? Grade)] has evolved into the [Flame Bear Tyrantʼs Blazing Claw Gloves (S Grade)]!]

[You have equipped the [Flame Bear Tyrantʼs Blazing Claw Gloves (S Grade)]!]

[Your Physical Strength and Physical Defense has increased by 25%.]

[Your Fire Magic Power and Fire Attribute Resistance has increased by 50%.]

[You can now use the {Four Blazing Bear Tyrant Claws Barrage} and {Fireball} Abilities.]

{Four Blazing Bear Tyrant Claws Barrage}: [Deals 300% Damage based on 60% of your Strength and Magic Stats, dealing Fire-Attribute Magic, ignoring 30% of a foeʼs defenses or fire attribute resistances. Consumes Mana.]

{Fireball}: [Gather Mana to create Magic Flames and shape them into the form of a sphere, dealing 150% Damage based on 100% of your Magic Stat with an Attack Speed based on 50% of your Agility Stat and the Mana applied.]

”Really great! Itʼs an amazing upgrade… I could probably get more if I hunt more of these strong monsters here, right? Hmm…” Frank considered it for a moment.

However, if he were to hunt down the life of this place too much, it might end up with no life at all!

It wasnʼt like a Corrupted Domain where all monsters were disposable creatures that threatened the city and its people, so it was fine to clean them all.

This was also an environment and nature… He couldnʼt go wild as he pleased.

”Frank donʼt do it, this was more than enough,” said Michael. ”Perhaps you could return every now and then or come with your friends. But aside from hunting occasionally, donʼt come here to specifically hunt to get as many Levels or Items as possible, donʼt abuse this beautiful sanctuary youʼve built.”

”…Yeah, I know, I wonʼt, donʼt worry,” Frank nodded. ”Iʼm sure thereʼs plenty of places out there teeming with monsters we can get rid of to maintain the cityʼs safety too, so weʼll be killing two birds with one stone.”

”Indeed!” Michael nodded. ”Shall we return now?”

”I was thinking on cooking the bear meat and eat some first…” Frank said. ”Also butchering it… I do have the skills for it.”

”Oh, let me help you then,” Michael said. ”It would be better to first bleed the corpse out and then move towards butchering.”

”Alright…” Frank nodded.
