A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1521: Chapter 1511: Fairy Tale

The news of Mu Yan’s return to Upper City quickly reached all her friends.

Lan Xi, Zheng Lu Hua, and others all called her to hang out, but she rejected them one by one.

She knew they wanted to hang out with her partly, but mainly they wanted to ask about her situation with Jiang Jingheng.

However, what she didn’t expect was that Zheng Lu Hua would come directly to her home, along with Jian Shaohan.

At that time, Mu Yan was painting in the living room. Picking up on the noise, she looked towards the door and saw the two of them walking in one after the other, carrying fruit.

She stood up immediately and asked, ”Huahua, why are you here?”

”Because you refused our invitation for a meal.” Zheng Lu Hua said helplessly, placing the fruit on the coffee table.

She looked Mu Yan up and down, surprised and said, ”You look skinnier, are you dieting?”

”Yes!” Mu Yan smiled.

”I haven’t heard about any new dramas from you recently?” Zheng Lu Hua grew more perplexed.

”Cough, cough...” Jian Shaohan suddenly coughed twice from the side.

Looking at the empty house, Zheng Lu Hua had a sudden realization, her expression changed slightly, and she asked, ”How have you been lately?”

”Pretty good.” Mu Yan smiled slightly, ”I’ll go make some tea for you.”

”No need to go through the trouble, we’ll just sit for a while and leave.” Zheng Lu Hua hurriedly said.

Mu Yan smiled at her and went to the kitchen.

Watching her back, Zheng Lu Hua sighed lightly, her gaze sweeping over the nearby easel. On it was a painting of a field of blooming sunflowers, and on two sides, a girl was facing the canvas painting while a boy on the other side lay on the ground, gazing at the sky, lost in thought.

The painting was only partially colored, yet it was already stunningly beautiful.

”The painting is really good,” Zheng Lu Hua praised.

”Sunflowers?” Jian Shaohan suddenly mumbled.

”Are you blind, can’t even recognize sunflowers?” Zheng Lu Hua turned her head and gave him a glare.

Jian Shaohan quickly said, ”Of course, I can recognize them, just when I saw this painting, something flashed my mind.”

”What?” Zheng Lu Hua pursued.

Jian Shaohan touched his nose, ”I forgot!”

Zheng Lu Hua was speechless, ignoring him, she continued to admire the painting.

Just then, Mu Yan came out with two glasses of juice, a bit surprised to see Jian Shaohan and Zheng Lu Hua getting along.

She remembered Jian Shaohan was not this patient before, and Huahua wasn’t so bold in confronting him.

It seemed that something must have happened between them recently.

”Come, have some juice.” Mu Yan approached, handing them the juice.

Zheng Lu Hua took it, sipped it, looked at Mu Yan, and asked, ”Sister, this painting is really good, can you give it to me?”

Mu Yan glanced at the painting and said, ”No, I can’t give this painting to anyone.”

”Oh? That’s a shame.” Zheng Lu Hua looked disappointed.

Mu Yan smiled slightly, not showing any intent to compromise, Zheng Lu Hua knew it wouldn’t happen.

Thinking about the main reason for her visit, she asked, ”Sister, are you really getting divorced from Brother Jiang?”

”You can go ask him about that.”

”But we can’t find him anywhere right now.” Zheng Lu Hua looked troubled.

”Then I’m afraid I can’t help.” Mu Yan’s tone was indifferent.

Seeing her indifferent demeanor, Zheng Lu Hua sighed, ”Looks like I won’t be able to call you ’sister’ anymore in the future.”

Mu Yan patted her shoulder, ”We’re friends.”

Zheng Lu Hua realized she couldn’t persuade her, before long, she left with Jian Shaohan.

Mu Yan continued coloring the incomplete painting. He had given her a fairy tale-like romance, so she wanted to give him a fairy tale as well.
