Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2632: Chapter 2632: Has Someone Finally Come to Speak for Us?

”Could it be that Dowager Consort Yu and her son are plotting some malicious scheme? I heard recently that several large boxes were moved out from the Prince’s Mansion. Everyone says they were filled with gold, silver, and jewels, but no one knows where they were taken.”

”Surely, the Prince’s Mansion has run out of money, so they’re thinking of squeezing some profit from us poor folks.”

”Heaven and earth as my witness, we are so broke that our pockets are emptier than our faces. Where would we have any money?”

The general who personally led the troops heard the whispers of the people. He felt helpless, but he understood that if the citizens were so easily convinced by them, they wouldn’t even know how they died.

”You, go get a gong.” He turned to a soldier beside him and instructed.

”Yes, General.”

The soldier obeyed and went to find a gong. Soon, he returned with a fairly large one.

He borrowed the gong from the Righteous Manor; otherwise, the ones borrowed from other places would be smaller, and their sound wouldn’t have as much impact.

General, I’ve found the gong. Should we strike it now?

”Strike it.”

The general nodded. He had received orders from Prince Zhan to be swift and decisive, without delaying here for too long.

”Fellow villagers, look this way, everyone.”

As the sound of the gong resounded repeatedly, the people heard the general’s booming voice, which drew their attention to that direction, and they followed the crowd.

”Today is the luckiest day for the citizens of Ying City. This general knows that you’ve all suffered these years, not only you, but also our City Defense Force, who have endured much hardship. We won’t mention these anymore.

Now, our emperor has sent Prince Zhan and Prince An Yang to Ying City to punish Dowager Consort Yu and the Fifteenth Prince, making them answer for the crimes they committed.”

So, everyone need not fear; with Prince Zhan and Prince An Yang taking charge, it’s time for us citizens to avenge our grievances and seek justice.

This general has set up a platform here for complaints, and anyone with grievances should line up, but this general only handles cases where someone from your household was taken by the Prince’s Mansion. For other grievances, Prince Zhan and Prince An Yang have also set up a platform for complaints at the prefectural office.

You may go there as well, it’s the same.”

Upon hearing the general’s words, the crowd looked at one another, their faces filled with disbelief.

”Is this true? Is there really someone here to stand up for us?”

”Is it really Prince Zhan and Prince An Yang? They are the war deity princes of our Daqing Kingdom. Have they truly come to Ying City? Indeed, this is wonderful.”

Everyone was overjoyed, for those with grievances finally had a place to voice them. Who wouldn’t be happy?

”What are you all waiting for? Those with grievances, come line up here. Those without, please inform others so that those with grievances come here to register promptly.”

The general urged upon seeing no one taking action.

”I have a grievance. I want to register, I want to register.” Almost immediately, people stood out. How could any of them not have grievances?

But grievances vary; losing money and losing people are different matters.

Some citizens hurried to the prefectural office entrance, while others rushed home, since they had relatives and friends with grievances. They needed to notify them to come and register.

This is a big matter that cannot be delayed.
