Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2620: Chapter 2620: It’s Raining, Everyone Has to Go Home and Collect the Laundry

Some citizens even knelt down beside the horse carriage, begging for a sip of water from the people inside.

“This Ying City…”

“Mother, they are so pitiful, do they really have no water to drink?” Qian Yinuo looked at those children being held in the adults’ arms, they were almost the same age as him.

They should have been running around like him, but now they lay limply in the adults’ arms, without any strength, not even opening their eyes.

An Jiuyue raised her hand and pinched the bridge of her nose.

She originally wanted to wait a bit more to see the situation in the Northern Lands before using a Rain Gathering Charm. Who would have thought that Ying City had become like this?

Seeing the layers of citizens surrounding them, if they didn’t give them water, they would definitely not be able to leave.

“Never mind, let’s use one first.”

A golden talisman appeared in her hand, and she extended her hand out of the carriage curtain, casting a spell to throw the talisman into the sky. Within a minute, raindrops the size of beans began to fall.

“It’s raining, it’s raining.”

The citizens outside almost scattered at the instant it started raining.

Everyone knew very well that the rain wouldn’t last long, and in the Northern Lands, rain like this was rare, so they had to quickly use all kinds of utensils at home to catch the rainwater for future use.

“Wow!”

Qian Yinuo was stunned to see the citizens running faster than rabbits.

Earlier, they were clinging to their horse carriage, but now they had all run away, even carrying the children with them.

“Big brother, they ran so fast, is it because they no longer need our water?” he asked the two older brothers.

“Probably so.”

An Yixing was also momentarily stunned, but quickly responded and answered the little baby’s question.

“It’s raining, everyone needs to go home to collect clothes,” An Yi Zhou said.

Qian Jiyun & An Jiuyue: “…”

Who does this child resemble, talking about collecting clothes in the rain? In the Northern Lands now, there’s no water to wash clothes, there’s not even enough to drink.

“Let’s head to the Government Office first.”

Qian Jiyun instructed the secret guards.

The secret guards immediately drove the horse carriage towards the Prefecture office, not daring to delay.

…

Upon arriving at the Prefecture office, the two didn’t hide their identities and directly presented their identity tokens.

Therefore, they were welcomed in by the Prefect.

“Why has Ying City turned into what it is today? How have you been governing Ying City?” the two asked the Prefect directly as they sat down.

The Prefect’s surname was He, an old man in his fifties.

Hearing that Prince Zhan and Prince An Yang had arrived, he was almost scared out of his wits, and when questioned in this manner, he directly knelt on the ground.

“Prince Zhan, Prince An Yang, please forgive me. It is not that this official is not doing his job well, but Ying City is not within the scope of my authority.”

He was truly unfortunate to be assigned as the Prefect of Ying City. He was doing well, and he was a rare honest and upright official.

But suddenly, the Fifteenth Prince came along with the meddling Dowager Consort Yu causing trouble. This mother and son duo were simply sent to torment him.

“You are the Prefect of Ying City, how can Ying City not be under your jurisdiction?” An Jiuyue asked.

She naturally knew that the issue should be addressed starting with Dowager Consort Yu and the Fifteenth Prince. It seemed they needed to deal with those two first.

“Well…”

Prefect He dared not speak ill of Dowager Consort Yu and the Fifteenth Prince, so he paused his words.
