Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 247: Chapter 247: Who Is That Woman?

Hearing this, Mu Beiting lowered his eyes and said nothing.

Seeing that Mu Beiting was silent, Ye Anxin smiled and wrapped her arm around his, thanking the doctor, ”We understand now, thank you, doctor!”

The doctor smiled and nodded in agreement, ”Alright! Come back if anything else feels uncomfortable!”

”Okay! Then we’re leaving!” Ye Anxin nodded and smiled, pulling Mu Beiting away.

Ye Anxin walked arm in arm with Mu Beiting down the hospital corridor.

Ye Anxin looked up at Mu Beiting with hope, ”Uncle, can we not talk about not wanting this baby anymore, okay?”

Mu Beiting’s thin lips were tightly pressed together in silence.

”Uncle, please promise me! Even though I’m feeling physically uncomfortable now, my heart is very satisfied and fulfilled! It’s because of the hardship of pregnancy that when the baby is born, it will feel unbelievably sweet! This is our first child, and he is growing every day! He’s very sensitive and perceptive! I don’t want him to think that his parents don’t like him!” At this point, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but touch her still flat belly.

Mu Beiting was silent for a moment before nodding in agreement, ”Alright!”

Seeing him finally agree, Ye Anxin immediately smiled brightly, ”Then we’ll wait together for the baby’s arrival!”

”Okay!” Mu Beiting nodded again.

”Uncle, go to the company! Let the driver take you to the company first, then send me home!” The two walked side by side out of the hospital building and got into the business car waiting at the door.

Mu Beiting asked, ”How many classes do you have today?”

Ye Anxin replied, ”No classes today, I don’t have to go to school!”

Mu Beiting said plainly, ”Then come to the company with me!”

Ye Anxin hesitated, ”Uh... will it disturb your work, uncle?”

”No, it won’t!” Mu Beiting replied without thinking.

Hearing this, Ye Anxin nodded in agreement, ”Alright then!”

With Mu Beiting’s instructions, the driver took them directly to the company and then drove away.

Mu Beiting took Ye Anxin up to the top floor in the CEO’s exclusive elevator.

When they stepped out of the elevator and Ye Anxin saw the empty office door of Mu Beiting, she asked puzzled, ”Huh... Uncle, where’s Judy?”

She remembered that Judy’s desk had always been outside the uncle’s office, why was it empty today?

That night when she came, she didn’t notice and thought she had just gotten off work! Now thinking about it, it seemed like Judy’s desk wasn’t there even then.

Mu Beiting replied without changing his expression, ”She resigned!”

”Oh!” Ye Anxin responded lightly, without paying much attention.

Leading Ye Anxin into the office, Mu Beiting said, ”If you’re bored, find a book to read; if you’re tired, you can rest in the lounge.”

Ye Anxin nodded obediently, ”Okay! Uncle, don’t worry about me, I’m familiar with this place, I’ll manage on my own! You go and do your work!”

”Okay!” Mu Beiting nodded, took off his suit jacket, hung it on the coat rack, and then sat down at his desk to start working.

Just like before, Ye Anxin found the book she hadn’t finished from the bookshelf, followed the bookmark to the page she left off, and then nestled on the sofa to continue reading.

When Ye Anxin read, she was very serene, with a scent of a scholarly family that only belonged to ancient times.

This quality was particularly pronounced when she read, always making Mu Beiting unconsciously look at her during his work breaks.

Not long after, Pete pushed the door open and entered!

Pete was already accustomed to seeing Ye Anxin here, so he showed no expression of surprise.

Time quietly passed by, and in the ocean of books, Ye Anxin felt time flew by quickly!

Before she knew it, it was lunchtime.

Just as before, Mu Beiting didn’t let Pete order takeout but took her out for lunch.

Ye Anxin held hands with Mu Beiting as they walked into the restaurant, and when she saw the person approaching, she was stunned.

In the distance, she saw Gu Xingchen and a woman she didn’t know, affectionately walking towards them, meeting them unexpectedly.

Gu Xingchen was visibly startled when he saw them.

Gu Xingchen quickly responded, letting go of the woman in his arms and taking a big step towards Mu Beiting, greeting with a smile, ”Beiting, what a coincidence! You never come out for lunch. What brings you out today?”

”Mr. Gu, hello!” Ye Anxin looked at the woman following him, her face revealing an undisguisable awkwardness.

This woman was delicate and pretty, although not stunningly beautiful, she was dainty and charming! Her demeanor was neighborly, approachable, and quite different from Ruan Zhitong’s transcendental aura.

She and Ruan Zhitong could be said to be two people with not an ounce of resemblance!

However, what was Gu Xingchen’s relationship with this woman?

Wasn’t Gu Xingchen engaged to Ruan Zhitong? At Xie Yunlu’s wedding, they were still behaving intimately!

She thought they had a good relationship! Why was Gu Xingchen with another woman now? Judging by their demeanor, their relationship seemed complicated.

The woman following Gu Xingchen lowered her head and timidly said, ”Mr. Mu, hello!”

Mu Beiting turned a deaf ear and did not respond.

Ye Anxin glanced in surprise between the woman and Mu Beiting.

It was clear that Uncle knew of this woman’s existence! If it was the first time the woman had seen Uncle, she wouldn’t have known he was called Mu!

If Ruan Zhitong really was Uncle’s first love, Uncle allowing them to get engaged knowing Gu Xingchen had another woman was inexplicable! Why was that?

Regarding Mu Beiting’s indifferent attitude, Gu Xingchen didn’t mind at all and said with a smile, ”Shengxia said she liked the cuisine at this restaurant, so I specifically brought her to try it! Since we’ve met, why not have a meal together?”

Mu Beiting coldly replied, ”No need!”

”In that case, we’ll be off! Let’s catch up next time!” With that, he waved at Mu Beiting, wrapped his arm around the woman named Shengxia again, and turned into a private room.

”Let’s go!” Once Gu Xingchen left, Mu Beiting held Ye Anxin’s hand and headed to their usual private dining room.

Ye Anxin, staying beside Mu Beiting, curiously asked, ”Uncle, what’s the relationship between Miss Shengxia and Mr. Gu? I feel like there’s something unusual between them?”

Mu Beiting replied indifferently, ”I don’t know!”

Ye Anxin pouted, playfully saying, ”But I think you seem to know them well!”

”We’ve met a few times!” Mu Beiting, being someone who understands, answered honestly, keeping his words concise.

Ye Anxin asked again, ”What’s the full name of this Miss?”

As Mu Beiting walked into the private room with Ye Anxin, he said, ”I don’t know! I don’t bother remembering people who are irrelevant!”
